Lovely property in a lovely area. Very well equipped, a real ‘home from home’. Excellent choice for a family or a larger family group. We enjoyed the pool, table tennis and badminton. House had books, games and Sky tv although we didn’t need them as we were outside so much. Very easy and responsive communication with the hosts. Eymet is five minutes drive away and had a fantastic boulangerie as well as a Carrefour supermarket and lots of great restaurants around a pretty square. Wonderful local markets with tasty French produce. A trip to Monbazillac chateau for wine tasting well worth it. Would highly recommend this property.

This is a fantastic holiday home. It has everything you need for a wonderful time. The pool is big and heated which meant lots of time and fun was had in it. We enjoyed the table tennis table and spacious garden. The kitchen facilities are superb. Thank you to Helen and Colin who were extremely helpful with recommendations of nearby restaurants and activities!! What a great place!

Perfect stay in every way

Everything about our holiday was wonderful. It felt like we were staying in a home rather than a rental - every small detail had been given thought.The location is in the middle of beautiful countryside, the nearest town (5 mins drive) is delightful with a vibrant square, a friendly butcher and boulangerie and well stocked supermarket.We have stayed in many rental properties, this is the best one I have stayed, well appointed with a feeling of space and comfort. The garden is well kept, with a number of trees that provide welcome dappled shade and a pool area that is very well equipped. There is plenty of outside furniture to suit any mood and well equipped for playing games - table tennis, badminton, croquet.The owner is very responsive. One of the toilets stopped working one day, I notified the owner and a plumber came round and fixed the same day. We will definitely stay here again

Lovely house

There was lots of space at the house, and the outdoor space is great too, plenty of seating areas and lots of chairs. There was lots of nice touches provided by Helen and Colin. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all a nice size and comfortable.

This place was excellent in every way. Lovely light and airy decor. The pool was great, my grandsons in particular loved it. The steps down into the pool were good for them. Best equipped kitchen we've ever had and the "essentials" in the cupboard is lovely touch, as is the wine rack. Also liked the welcome pack. Plenty of suggestions in the information booklet for places to visit. We didnt go to any of them as we were primarily there for a family wedding. Can't find fault with this place. Hopefully will he back again in the future. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing Dordogne

Really enjoyed a relaxing 2 weeks in Serres et Montguyard, great house, well set up for families and friends, loads of outside space. Convenient for shops in Eymet and loads of other local distractions such as markets. Wonderful cycling, running and local (ish) golf.

Lovely, well equipped house with heavenly pool…

Les Arbres was very comfortable, well cared for and had everything that you could need in a holiday home. When we stayed, several days were in excess of 31 degrees, so the air conditioning upstairs was a real treat at night. The bathrooms were all stunning and modern, such a rarity in older French properties. We spent a lot of time at the pool and relaxing in the covered area with the sofa and chairs It is a very short drive to the the shops and restaurants of Eymet and we recommend the huge Leclerc in Bergerac for shopping and super fast EV charging. We would definitely come again, and maybe do a bit more sightseeing next time….the pool and the hot weather made it far too tempting to stay at the house and enjoy the facilities!

A lovely relaxing week

The property is lovely, very clean and well equipped. The pool and garden area are great and were enjoyed by the whole family. The house worked really well for our family (and was very family friendly). The air con upstairs was very useful, and there were plenty of bathrooms. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect House, Perfect Holiday

We had a fantastic 2 weeks in this wonderful property. It is perfect for a big group (we were 2 families plus a grandparent) and has more than enough space. The house was spotless when we arrived and is generously equipped with everything you may need. The kitchen and bathrooms are all modern and well kept. The beds are really comfortable and the decor is tasteful and sensitive to the property. The garden is great, easy to find shady spots or bask in the sun. The pool is heated and was a very welcome relief from the heat. The lights in the garden at night are particularly lovely. Communication with the owners is swift and seamless, all queries were dealt with straight away. We very much hope to return.

Beautiful property in a great location

We had a wonderful time at Les Arbres. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures on the website - the house is huge! All the bedrooms were lovely, with very modern bathrooms. The master particularly was stunning. Everything you could need was there, with lots of nice attention to detail. The pool and the gardens were stunning. I was worried about a salt water pool beforehand as had only ever swum in a chlorinated one - but wow - so much better!!! The kids loved it! (and I'm pleased to say that they didn't even spot the xbox!!) . The host Helen was fantastic throughout - even helping with suggestions of a mechanic when we had car trouble! Location was great - with a lovely bistro across the road and only a few mins drive to Eymet where there are loads of great restaurants. It's also an area where there is lots to do for kids within a 30 min drive, and of course, the odd bit of wine tasting for the grown ups ;) I would definitely recommend Les Arbres - I couldn't fault anything about it, just beautiful.

Lovely, well equipped rural holiday destination

A beautiful quiet rural residence with the benefit of a cafe across the road. Really well equipped private house with a big garden and a lovely pool. Comfy beds, ample bathrooms and lots of living space. We would highly recommend.

Excellent séjour

Maison spacieuse, magnifiquement décorée et très agréable à vivre. Jardin avec piscine chauffée très spacieux et agréable également. Helen et Colin sont très réactifs pour répondre aux questions de leurs hôtes. Excellent séjour en famille.

une très belle expérience

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable aux "Arbres". La maison est magnifiquement décoré, dispose de tous les équipements, d'un terrain idéal pour les enfants et d'une piscine très agréable. Un grand merci aux propriétaires, qui ont tout fait pour que notre séjour soit agréable. A conseiller sans hésiter!!!

Belle propriété

Notre séjour à Les Arbres à été très agréable pour notre famille composée de 10 personnes. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour passer un excellent moment, les prestations offertes y sont de qualité, tout a été très bien pensé pour que rien ne manque. De plus, Helen et Colin sont des hôtes très accueillants et disponibles.

Prachtige villa, super vakantie

Compleet uitgeruste villa in een mooie omgeving. Alles was aanwezig voor een top vakantie : mooi zwembad, pingpong, buitenspeelgoed, mooie kamers, badhanddoeken, ... De communicatie met Helen verliep super vlot. Bij het minste probleem of vraag kan je bij haar terecht! Wij verbleven in de villa met 4 families. Doordat de villa ruim en compleet is, kon ieder gezin genieten van onze familievakantie. Zeker een aanrader !

Fijn huis met geweldig zwembad voor kinderen

We genoten van het mooie huis, met alles erop en eraan, de fijne tuin met veel bomen en dus schaduwplekjes en het geweldige zwembad waarin ook de jongsten (1 en 3 jaar) zoveel deugd aan hadden. Indrukwekkend hoe alles georganiseerd werd en hoe snel er gecommuniceerd werd. Omdat het plaatselijk cafeetje gesloten was, moesten we wel verder om brood en boodschappen en de toeristische trekpleisters van de Dordogne liggen op minstens een half uurtje rijden. Een aanrader!

Fabulous holiday home in a peaceful location

We spent a glorious fortnight holidaying here enjoying this luxury home and pool. The location is both peaceful and private and there is a lot of space to relax in. The owners were forever helpful with any queries raised and very quick to respond. Even the children were complimentary re the speed of the broadband so we had no choice but to chill and relax. A perfect holiday and we look forward to returning soon.

Such a wonderful holiday

Les Arbres is the nicest property we have stayed in by far. We were a group of 7 ranging from age 7 to 81 and there was plenty of space for everyone to do there own thing. The children loved the pool and playing on the rope swing and we all enjoyed exploring the nearby towns of Eymet and Issigeac. The house has been beautifully renovated and the owners have thought of everything, fabulous kitchen with a wonderful welcome pack, plenty of games, books and DVD’s and they even have even provided lots of plug adaptors. We had such a relaxing two weeks and will certainly be back!

Rarely have we experienced such high standards in the holiday rental. Superbly equipped - perfect!

This property was perfect for our extended family needs. With three generations sharing the accommodation there was something for everyone. Well- stocked toy cupboard, table tennis, darts and a wonderful heated pool. Contemporary bathrooms offered a plentiful supply of body lotion etc and lovely open living spaces for the family to spread out. Superb!

Take me back to that pool!

As the photos suggest this property is extremely stylish and well equipped. We were a group of two families with three children under three and the amount of space here was great. The rooms are all big and there are loads of bathrooms. The garden is especially nice with lots of trees/umbrellas for shade, kids slide and swing, plus as the photos suggest, an amazing pool (the shallow step at one end of the pool was an especially big hit for the kids to splash around on). There was also a big chest full of garden games and some great pool toys. Owners Helen and Colin were extremely helpful and quick to reply to our questions. Their housekeeper Jean also cooked us a lovely meal on one evening - definitely recommended. The village where the house is located is very quaint, but also very small. If you want to walk out of your holiday home in to a bustling town, then this isn't the location for you, but for peace and tranquility it is lovely. The Petit Cafe in the village is practically opposite the house - David the owner will pick you up a bespoke bread order in the morning on his way to open up, plus his cakes are amazing. I have knocked a star off the locations rating because the only disadvantage of this house is that it's not very close to the Dordogne. If you want the classic wild-swimming / canoeing experience in the river then you will need to drive for 45-60mins to get there. Other than that it is hard to fault this property. We had a great time.

What a place!

Who would believed that hiding behind blue shutters and house sitting right on the street would be a fabulous house. Wonderfully equipped with large garden pool and everything else required for a family holiday. We were 3 single women who luxuriated in a bedroom and bathroom each. The village is small and quiet however Eymet a medieval bastide town is 5 minutes drive with boulangerie and supermarket cafes restaurants and Thursday markets. The owners made the place welcoming with lots of information provided. We stayed 2 weeks with a house clean provided mid stay. Fabulous to stay at home easy to visit all the wonderful attractions of the area.
