Beautiful location out in the countryside, away from city hustle and bustle. Easy access to different destinations and waterfalls. Would definitely recommend if you want to experience true Bali living.

Tranquility!!

Thank you Rolf, Dini and Ilu for taking care of every little details and requests from us. We all had an amazing stay and love the property. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, away from everything, this is it! Rolf and Dini responded to our inquiries very quickly. Rolf was kind enough to allow for extra family members. Dini arranged all our transfers and excursions. (Best snorkeling we’ve seen in a long time). Ilu and assistants cooked wonderful meals every time. The only thing that worked against us was the weather in rainy season. The days of excursions it rained, The days we wanted to relax it was sunny so we enjoyed the property and pool! Thank you for sharing your property with us!

A little piece of paradise

If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place to go. The place itself is beautiful, has all the amenities required. That view, watching the sunset over the ocean, while floating in the pool with cocktail in hand or out on the back veranda is stunning. Having Iluh and Iluh arrive on-site everyday to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner really made the holidays. No cooking required, they also handle most of the cleaning...It's a true getaway, all the time is actually yours. Should you wish to eat out, a few of the restaurants near by have a free driver service. We found an amazing BBQ/Seafood restaurant near by (Warung Segara Mas) plus Nalika Restaurant which has more western style food but done well if the kids are playing up. Beautiful place and beautiful people. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing family stay at villa with wow factor

Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay at the villa, the location is amazing and we were greeted by a perfect Bali sunset over the immaculate gardens on day 1. The pool was also one of the best we have enjoyed and the beach access was a bonus, as was the local snorkelling. Dini took great care of us and arranged everything we could need like massages on site, trips and taxis. The chefs cooked us wonderful local cuisine each night, whatever we wanted, and also made us a hearty brunch to set us up each day. The gardener took great pride in creating a beautiful landscape for the villa. The scooters available for hire were ideal and I would recommend the local restaurants Bora Bora and Warung Segara Mas, both walkable along the beach. The bedrooms were all air conditioned and the amenities all up to standard. My only word of warning is that this villa is remote and essentially in the jungle, so be prepared to share it with some of the local wildlife- particularly with the outdoor bathrooms. This wasn’t an issue for us, it comes with the territory, and if the bugs ever became a problem then the staff would quickly resolve it. We loved it here and have made memories that will last a lifetime, I hope to return some day and would recommend to anyone with a sense of adventure.

We enjoyed a wonderful two-week vacation in Bali at this beautiful villa. Rolf responded to all of our inquiries promptly and thoroughly. Everything was as described. The drivers who took us to and from the airport and on our sightseeing adventures always arrived on time and were very accommodating. Leong even acted as tour guide at many of the attractions. Iluh is a fantastic housekeeper/chef; her spring rolls are the best we've ever had! Dini helped us arrange all of our sightseeing and our transport back to the airport. She was very helpful with her suggestions. The villa is just gorgeous with its lush garden and amazing swimming pool. Everyone was friendly and kind. We really enjoyed afternoons reading in the peaceful little pagoda with the fan keeping us cool, walking on the beach, evening swims in the pool, the dolphin safari at sunrise, the temples, waterfall, and botanical gardens. The sunsets over the Bali Sea were absolutely breathtaking. We felt very spoiled after two weeks of having someone cook all of our meals, clean the villa, do our laundry, arrange all of our sightseeing, keep the garden perfectly manicured, and provide security. We always felt safe. No-one was intrusive, so we still had our privacy. It was a memorable vacation, and we will treasure those memories. Many thanks to Rolf and the entire staff for a very special Balinese vacation.

Our Stay July 2024

Overall, the property was exactly as expected. We were seeking a quiet, peaceful and tranquil location and Kundalini Villa certainly lives up to expectations. With this villa, choices are yours - from relaxing by the amazing pool (long enough for lap swimming) reading your favourite book, to arranging for the driver to take you to Mount Batur (and the hot springs afterwards), Jatiluwih rice terraces, Sekumpul Waterfall, Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud etc. Dining can be arranged at the villa, or a short walk down the beach to Bora Bora for amazing food is easy, although you do have to cross a small stream, so best to go in flip flops / sandals. Note - at Bora Bora, there is a tap to rinse the black sand from your feet and they even have a driver for the journey back to the villa. We walked back in the dark a few nights - no problem with a flashlight (from your phone). In summary, we enjoyed our stay, which delivered exactly what we were hoping for, all thanks to Rolf and his staff.

Tres belle location

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le luxuriant jardin, très bien entretenu, frangipaniers et bougainvilliers apportent des couleurs incroyables et sont mélangés à des plantes et arbres de toutes sortes. C'est un régal pour les yeux, sans compter tous les oiseaux. La piscine est superbe, il faut en profiter le matin car après elle devient trop chaude. La mer apporte le bruit des vagues et la superbe vue, mais la plage est assez sale. Un grand merci à notre cuisinière qui a été aux petits soins pour nous, et de manière genérale à toutes les personnes qui travaillent dans la villa, pour leur gentillesse, sourires, prevenance et discrétion. Les chauffeurs sont ponctuels et vont au-delà de nous conduire, ils nous accompagnent et apportent leur aide autant qu’ils peuvent. Ne pas manquer le snorkeling à Menjangan ni le restaurant Nalika délicieux. Enfin la villa est un peu loin de tout mais c'est un choix de vacances qui permet d'être au contact de la nature et qui evite de se retouver au milieu des embouteillages et du tourisme de masse.

Perfect Home away from Home

The house is exactly like what you see in the pictures and does not disappoint. The views are spectacular, it’s quiet, secluded, and just minutes from town. The staff are extremely welcoming and go above and beyond to meet your needs. Dini the house manager is available all the time and takes care of any needs you may have. Illuh the cook makes amazing meals. The meals are restaurant quality and she offers a wide selection. Illuh also cleans your space and is very respectful of your privacy. Yon is one of the drivers and will take you on any excursion you’d like. He is so kind, an amazing driver and caters to your schedule. All the other staff are also friendly, respectful and allow you to enjoy the peaceful setting. Please be aware that because the house is remote you will spend a fare bit of time in the car getting to the sites. This house and staff are a 10/10 and would recommend it.

Relaxing!

Beautiful, serene and far away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Great communication by the owner Rolf and manager Dini. Our resident chef and housekeeper Iloha kept the house spick and span and her meals were delicious. Ground staff were lovely and friendly and the pool and beautiful grounds are kept pristine. The locals are friendly and you get a good opportunity to see the real/traditional Bali. These are the things we wish we’d known before going- the drive from Kuta has 2 routes. The shorter route is absolutely terrifying and I would not recommend it. The longer route (add 30 minutes) is by far less nerve racking. The villa is an end villa and one of 3, you are separated from the next villa by a hedge/garden border and you can hear and see your neighbors. It is not ‘secluded’ per say, however is in a secluded area. In saying that, the nearest Western supermarket/alcohol is in Lovina, do any shopping on your way to the villa. There is an ATM in Seritit. Bugs- lots of biting ants. repellent required. Air conditioning- only the bedrooms are air conditioned, the main living area has only fans and gets very warm. The pool is great however it got too hot to swim in by mid afternoon some days. Swimming in the sea-you need swim booties to swim safely. There are cats. I would implore anyone traveling to anywhere in Bali to take some pet food/ basic flea treatments etc.to help with the issues with the cats/dogs. Lastly, an absolute must is the wild dolphin trip- incredibly.

Dream come true

After staying here, we were excited to leave a review that might help future potential renters. Going through the process of searching for rentals and then having lots of questions or just being unsure about committing to a property is a real thing! So let us put your mind at ease. This property was AMAZING! We are so glad we chose this one. 1. The beauty of the landscaping is next level. The gardener does a great job of maintaining the property. 2. The Chef is a terrific cook. We really enjoyed just eating her meals three times a day and not having to really worry about food. 3. The bed and room were great. Very comfortable A/C with mosquito netting, very clean and well maintained. 4. Our driver was so helpful! You don’t need to have everything figured out in advance because Dini will help arrange amazing activities and the driver does a great job of getting you there safely. He never needed any kind of gps, he just knows the island so well. 5. Massages at the rental were also next-level. We did three of them in one week! 6. Being right on the beach is such a nice perk although it had stormed a lot right before we got there so snorkeling there was a bit cloudy for a few days. It did clear up later. 7. Going North side is the way to go! Not crowded, and still great access to activities. Menjangan island snorkel tour was our favorite! Easy 5 star rating for us. We loved every minute and would love to come back again sometime soon.

Really great villa for the authentic Bali experience

Our stay at the North Bali Beach Villa was truly a dream come true. This luxurious 4BR/4BR villa is located directly on the serene Umeanyar Beach (also known as Kundalini Beach) in North Bali and offered the perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. One of the highlights of the villa was the private 50 sq meter swimming pool and large tropical garden, which were absolutely perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The villa also offers direct beach access from the garden, as well as a "private" reef right in front of the property, providing guests with an opportunity to explore the local marine life. The four air-conditioned bedrooms are each ensuite, with natural Bali-green stone walls, a shower, and/or freestanding bathtub. Each room is fully serviced making it feel like a true 5-star hotel experience. We were also impressed with the private Villa Chef who prepared delicious meals for us every day. The menu wishes were asked every day and all shopping and preparing of the food that we wanted to use in the Villa were done by the chef. We only paid for the local ingredients. The Villa has a spacious shaded veranda with a beautifully-laden dining table with seating for all guests. The traditional living area is meant for a soothing, calm, and serene time spent solely with your loved ones. Enjoy the quiet of the villa gardens and a special view while relaxing on plush sofas with stunning views of the verdant gardens. The villa also has guest assistant, fast WiFi, stunning sunsets right in front of your villa terrace, 2 private gazebos, and a driver available during your stay. One of the best things about our stay was the host's excellent service. We had a problem with bugs, but the host solved it within an hour of us informing him. The host went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction and made sure the problem was solved as soon as possible. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to leave the villa early, but the host was more than accommodating, and refunded us for the days we didn’t stay. The host's service truly made our stay even more enjoyable. This Villa, even though secluded (bit far from Ubud), offers a true Bali experience and would highly recommend!

The property is lovely. Spacious villa with a thatched roof, 2 separate Bales and a large swimming pool. However, it is the staff who really made our visit special. The house manager was friendly and was able to coordinate our transfers outings and in house massages with a minimum of effort. The cook was exceptional. We would go back just to have more of her food. Our driver was brilliant. Transported us with care and then went above and beyond when the flooding prevented us from reaching destination. Thank you everyone for a wonderful visit.

We absolutely loved Villa Ayu! Beautiful gardens, comfortable beds and we were extremely well looked after by Ilhu who cooked our delicious meals. The villa is away from the main road, but the local beach restaurants we tried (Bora Bora & Lovina Beach Club) had free pick up & drop off services as well as delivery which was lovely if we fancied a few sunset cocktails. The pool was absolutely beautiful, very warm with lovely views. Thank you for a great stay!

AMAZING

I was hesitant to travel to Bali by myself as my husband had complications with his business. Rolf reassured me I was in good hands with his staff and they would ensure my safety. His communication was fast and very informative. I am so glad I chose to continue with my travel arrangements. The property is absolutely breathtaking! The staff is so friendly. Dini sat down with me to organize the list of activities I wanted to partake in! Yon was a very good tour guide and stayed with me the entire time we were participating in activities off the property. Luh’s the most amazing cook! She prepared meals exactly to my liking and the food was perfectly seasoned to perfection! The cleanliness of the grounds were beautifully manicured and tended to everyday. The outside villas were very clean and had fans to keep cool. The sunsets are gorgeous, The gardeners sweep and clean the beach daily. Security is there at all times and escorted me early in the morning to the boat to see the dolphins! Which is a MUST of all activities as the water is so clean and clear. Bring your own snorkel if you would like to have your own as it is very difficult to find an unused snorkel. The pictures do not reflect how breathtaking this property really is! It is a hidden gem!

Fabulous way to see Bali

We stayed at this property for two weeks and loved every moment. Every member of the 8 staff were brilliant often going beyond expectations, with the help of Dini the house manager and Yon the driver, we got to see all of the Islands best attractions and sights. We were very sad to leave and would highly recommend this Villa for your holiday

Nous avons adoré!

La propriété est magnifique, telle que sur les photos, la maison immense, le jardin fleuri très bien entretenu, la piscine immense mais l'eau est très chaude, le staff adorable. Nous avons adoré passer du temps allongés sur le gazébo dominant la mer à admirer les sublimes couchers de soleil. La maison est située entre mer et rizières, un peu isolée mais cela ne nous a pas gêné du fait qu' Ilu nous préparait à manger et faisait nos courses… il y a aussi un très bon restaurant à distance de marche. Dini, la housekeeper est adorable et s'est occupée de toutes nos excursions. Ne pas manquer la sortie en mer sur un bateau local qui vient vous chercher devant la maison, à la rencontre des dauphins. Nous en avons vu des dizaines.. c'était génial ! Nous remercions Rolph pour sa gentillesse, Dini pour nous avoir bichonné tout au long de notre séjour et Ilu pour nous avoir concocté de succulents petits plats, ainsi que tout le staff.

Fantastiskt bemötande, service och mat!! Enkelt och smidigt att boka massage & utflykter. Pool & trädgård fantastiskt vackert. Villan ligger helt isolerad och man måste verkligen gilla lugn & ro. Dock känns villan mera sliten än vi förväntat oss. Myggnät, porslin, glas mm behöver förnyas. Inget boende heller för den småkrypsrädda. Mygg, flugor, spindlar, ödlor, malar etc. Faunan är rik på detta stället... stranden var skräpig och inte så inbjudande.

Een fantastische plek aan zee met prachtig uitzicht op Oost-Java. Gelegen aan zee aan de rijstvelden meer Bali kan niet. Luxe en zeer vriendelijk personeel, altijd behulpzaam. Elke dag schoon en beden opgemaakt. De was wordt voor je gedaan. Heerlijk op de brommer met alle vrijheid de omgeving verkennen en passars bezoeken. Op verzoek is er een auto met chauffeur beschikbaar om je naar de watervallen, holt hot baden of tempels te brengen. Zeer aan te raden.

Stunning - exceeded expectations

The reality of this place is even more stunning than the photos. We had a super stay, the staff were exceptionally sweet and did a wonderful job looking after us. The garden flora and fauna is fascinating and beautiful, as was the wildlife within it. The villa was stylishly accessorised. Our three boys made the most of the pool and snorkling in the sea, while we were captivated by the ever changing view out to sea, all to the evocative soundtrack of the traditional Balinese music coming from a special ceremony at the Beach temple in the fishing village. We enjoyed a few day trips with the careful and informative drivers through the stunning scenery of the lush mountains. We created lots of special memories for us all , trekking to waterfall, dipping in the hot spas, visiting Buddist and Hindu temples and palaces, watching Balinese dancing play, shopping in the markets of Ubud, feeding monkeys and drinking Luwak coffee as well as getting a bit drenched while walking in the rice paddies, plus the amazing massages in the Bale Alang Alang huts of the villa. Iluh and her helpers made some exceptional meals and we really felt like we experienced authentic cuisine even better than anything we had in the restaurants we visited on our day trips! Foo Yong Hai, Rendang and Soto Ayam were our particular favourites. The location is remote, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Peace and tranquillity and a feeling of a more authentic Bali than just the touristic experience of the south. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday and perfect trip!

Great place, superservice, paradise

Beachhouse Ayu in North Bali was the place for a complete relaxation, for being together as a family and an experience we never had in kind service and great Indonesian meals by our private cook Ilu. Direct beachfront, beautiful sunsets Every evening, a tropical garden full of flowers, fruits (pisang, papaya, etc), a refreshing private pool and 2 great shaded Gazebo’s (bale’s). Comfortable beds(!), recently renewed interior styling (wowww!!). All: super! We made nice excursions (delphins, hot springs, Lovina, Monkey temple, munduk waterfall), all easily arranged for us by Dini. Getting back to the villa after the excursions was so good too. This place is paradise. The best however is the people who work here. They work For you, fully dedicated to make your stay unforgettable. It is! Cooks, gardeners, drivers, security, boss Dini: their friendly and helping attitude with the children, with us as parents is how life should be: thanks!!! We will be back. Rolf, thanks for arranging, patiently answering all our questions about our stay with 3 young children. It was super. Terimakasih Ivar

Wunderbares Bali

Wir waren 2 Wochen in der Villa Kundalini und waren begeistert. Zwischen Reisfeldern und Meer liegt die Villa mit Pool. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und freundlich. Der einzige Wehmutstropfen war, dass man aufgrund der Algen und des Zustandes des Strands (Müll und Ebbe/Flut) nicht ins Meer kann. Allerdings entschädigt der große Pool.
