The Hideaway was just perfect for my husband and I. It was close to everything we wanted to do and I really enjoyed all the nature trails and the trail down to the beach! We would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful, little cottage right on the bluff, overlooking the ocean. You can hear the waves crashing from the patio as the sun sets behind the fir trees. Nice little trail down to the beach. Comfortable furniture, well appointed kitchen, everything you need for a little hideaway get away.

I think someone else mentioned in a review, but know the beach access trail is a bit challenging should you have any limitations. There are a couple other nature trails you have access to which doesn’t require steep steps. If the weather is clear, you have a lovely view of the water and sunsets from the back of the property. The TV is very small for viewing after a nice day of exploring, but I am a bit spoiled with what I have at home. Overall, a nice place to stay!

Lovely location right at the top of the bluff with beautiful views. Property has a trail to the beach and multiple short nature trails through the woods. Home is very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, and you couldn't ask for an easier check-in procedure. I will definitely return!

Our stay was spectacular. Great location for visiting Olympic NP. The wildlife on the grounds was amazing, watching young eagles learning to fly from the nest was beyond belief. We even seen a Piebald deer in the backyard 1 morning.. I have the picture…amazing..loved it..enjoy everyone

Great PNW Retreat

My wife and I stayed at the Hideaway Hut for several days in late June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal, the view is spectacular, and the unit is very clean and well stocked. Also, the hosts were very gracious and accommodating.

Hideaway Hut June of 2025

The property was beautiful an secluded, but still very close to the park. We used it as a home base while we spent most of our days hiking. The views were incredible. We really liked that we could see Victoria BC in the distance. There was also lots of wildlife in the area. The only slight surprise is that another house is right next door and can bee seen from the kitchen windows. Not a big deal, just did not notice that from the listing photos. I highly recommend it and I will stay here again when I am back in the area.

Relaxing

The property was so peaceful and such a wonderful location. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The wildlife was amazing. Watching the Bald Eagles fly overhead to their nest and the mamma and baby deer going through the yard was a sight. Enjoyed the hike to the beach as well. We would love to go back and would choose this location again. Thanks for the peaceful stay!

Beautiful Views and Walking Trails

My sister and I stayed two nights before hopping on a ferry to Kirkland to see family. This property was just beautiful. It had stunning views, walking trails, some a little steep, but so much nature surrounding us. Deer were on the property, an eagles nest was right above us on the property, We could hear the crashing waves below us. We drove from Boise, ID and got on a ferry to cross over. The drive to the property was beautiful! We drove a short distance to Madison Falls, visited the Dungeness Spit, and the Olympic game farm. We drove to the super cute Port of Port Angeles. Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked with everything we needed. Wonderful stay!

Beautiful property!

The weather didn't cooperate for our short stay, but we still got to enjoy a gorgeous sunset. The home was very clean and was stocked with everything we might need. We also loved watching the deer hang out! We would come and stay again

So Peaceful and Serene

This was a wonderful stay for us. The property is located on a bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and you can see Port Angeles up the coast. Deer roam around the property. Everything is so quiet except sound of the waves coming onto the shoreline. The Hideaway Hut is the best equipped property we have ever stayed in. The host has thought of everything to the point of having chilled beer mugs in the freezer. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the living area is very cozy. The kitchen has everything necessary to make your meals if you decide to eat in (even spices). This is a marvelous property that we hope to return to in the future.

Enjoyed my stay here. Very cozy. Loved the sunset view from the backyard and right from the kitchen area. Mostly just used for basecamp for some hiking. Would 100% consider staying here again. Love the area, wish there was something for sale like it. Thank you!

Breathtaking Sunset View

Wonderful place to stay. The scenery and sunset view are unmatched. The beach is fantastic. We did accidentally walk into the wrong house. There is a "Hideaway Hut" and "Hideaway House" that have the same address and are next door to each other. You might double check the names before walking in.
