"This property was spotlessly clean, carefully and well furnished, with clear instructions about everything. The location was peaceful and quiet, and we were treated to seeing a doe and young fawn not long after arriving. "This was a great stay for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the location was ideal, especially for the price! The AC is new and works great in the central rooms but does have a little trouble cooling the bedrooms simply because of the age of the house. Other than a few very loud vehicles that drive past, it was surprisingly quiet for the location. It was cool to stay somewhere with so much history!"

"Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub was clean. Deck was in great condition. There was a gate on upper deck so our dogs were able to enjoy being outdoors with us on the deck in the evenings. Great look out just up the road at the Blackrock park/viewing point. Communication with owners was prompt and very friendly. "

The Hawksbill Haus (w/ hot tub)
Waynesboro

"Very convenient to the highway. The air conditioning is tough as it’s only in the rooms with a window into so main living spaces were very muggy. And air conditioners are loud for sleeping and in downstairs bedroom you can’t close curtain if running air. Fans in some rooms made it better but it will be hot in common spaces!"
