They have a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and nice tv. The owners are very helpful and friendly. They have wonderful knowledge of the area and will help you to get some more ideas of things to do. We had a great time and are very happy we chose their place for our holiday.

We had a delightful stay in Saltjarnarnes, just outside of Reykjavik. Siggy picked us up at the airport and gave us a little tour as he drove us to the unit, which had everything we needed. Once there, the use of the car was so helpful. We were able to get around and see Reykjavik on our own. We recommend the Golden Circle Bus Tour - it is a great way to see several amazing sites - especially if you are there for a short visit. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely appt in not far from the town

Lovely appt. Host is amazing, gave us lots of tips on where to travel. Appt has lots of books on history and lots of maps of iceland, if u have time to read. Appt is well equiped, oven, micro, kettle ,dishwasher, washing machine, crockery.....our stay was very comfortable. Wifi is good... tv had a few english channels , you can connect to netflix or apple tv if u want. Room was nice and cozy, and Siggi had put 2 extra foldout beds for the kids in the lounge..Supermarket and fuel pump nearby. Well equiped. We are vegeterian and had no issues finding food to suit us. We had an automatic suburu outlander, slightly old but well maintained and took us round everywhere that we wanted to go. Siggi picked us up from the airport and dropped us off as well. If returning to any non EU destination allow at least 3.5hrs on the return, (1 hr to get there) and the rest for the airport. The queue to checkin was long, and the immigration queue was very long. Rijkavik town is not far. We parked at the kronan supermarket by the marina which was free, and walked from there, about 20 mins walk ,but we were walking slowly and taking may pictures along the way.The appt is located in a lovely quiet residential area.... turn right from the drive and u can see the sea, turn left and u can see the sea as well.....lovely. Anyway to cut the long story short.... it is a lovely appt, with really lovely host. Iceland is very very beautiful. Best place to explore nature at its best.

Great location, very kind people and wonderful home

We had a fantastic stay at this rental home in Iceland! Siggi, the owner, was incredibly helpful—he went out of his way to pick us up and shared a ton of useful information during the ride. The home itself was perfect: clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Having access to the car made getting around so much easier. We would absolutely book this place again!

Siggi and Nanna are AMAZING

The home was very clean, Nanna picked us up and even went to a grocery store so we could get a few items. Siggi took us to the airport for an amount outside of the vrbo rate. The home was well stocked with any and all amenities needed. We would stay here again.

An excellent place to stay!

Siggi and family are wonderful people. The property is just outside of Reykjavik. We enjoyed being in a peaceful place. The property fit the four of us well. It was clean, well stocked with lovely duvets and clean towels. The washer and dryer also came in handy. The car provided was in great shape and had studded tires. We used the car everyday to explore and to venture. All we covered was petrol and parking fees. If the northern lights are on your bucket list, this base is the place to be! We went out all five nights we were there. We brought comforters for the car and just watched and waited at Grotta Lighthouse, about a kilometer or two from the house. All five nights we saw the lights, three with high activity and 2 with weak to medium activity. One of those nights we also saw the lights from our driveway later in the evening. We day tripped to the southern coast and golden circle from this home and went into to Reykjavik to eat and we ate locally as well. It was economical for us to food shop so we could eat breakfast and sometimes dinner or pack lunch. Siggi even picked us up and returned us to the airport (for a reasonable fee.) We have recommended this already to several of our friends and family. When we return, we will definitely stay here. Thank you, Siggi, for making Iceland even more magical!

Best little apartment in Iceland

My mom and I stayed 6 nights. Siggi and his wife are the best host! The apartment had everything we needed, clean and everything worked great. Close enough to hear the ocean waves at night! The car they let guest use is AWESOME amenity. The apartment is centrally located and easy to travel to the west , north and eastern parts of the island. 10/10 would stay here again

Quiet choice from main city area

When the sun won’t go down and the bars spill into the street late at night noisily and there is limited parking in the main town area, this is the place to stay. Easy to commute to many areas, quiet grocery and gas station to access and just quiet residential at night. The car was a bonus although I did use the taxi app to go into town a few times just so I wouldn’t have to fight traffic or parking. I saved alot by eating or making lunches at the apt. The host was always checking to see if anything needed. He also provided a nice historical tour on way to airport and totally had me fooled when he said a friend lives there in the coastal town, with so many forefront type homes in Iceland I really thought someone lived in the side of a hill!! (yes, you got me Siggy until I saw the footprint!) lol If you are a single traveler this is a safe area. I walked in evening down to track along coast and even stood out in the road at 4am looking for northern lights! I would definitely stay again. My only wish is for more bed pillows! I sleep with at least 3 just for me.

An exceptional experience

We stayed at Siggi's in July. He picked us up at the airport, for a small fee, and gave us a tour of his lovely country on the way to his place. His place is everything he has listed plus a car. Clean, comfortable and close to everything. Unfortunately, I suffered a medical emergency during our first night there. I had to be driven to the emergency room, but where do you go? Siggi, got up and we followed him to the only emergency room in Reykjavik. I was admitted into the hospital and had to cancel our future travel plans. My husband needed a place to stay and a car to travel back forth to attend to me. Siggi made sure he had a place to stay, a car to use and had his daughter drive us to the airport when we had to fly back early. One less thing for us to worry about during a very stressful time. Siggi and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. He really cares for the people who stay with him and would recommend his place as the best place to stay in Reykjavik!

Iceland, the warmest country on Earth

The apartment was as advertised, very comfortable, plenty of room, nice hot shower, and even a washer/dryer combination. The big benefits of this rental are the use of the car and the transportation that the host (Siggi) provides to and from the airport (for a fee). It was so convenient to not have to worry about transportation. I highly recommend using the transport service he provides. The conversations you'll experience are worth it. We chose this location based on the reviews from others and they all had such great experiences with the hosts. They provided more than a place to stay and a car, but a home away from home. <3

Great stay

The apartment/house was small, but tidy and sufficient. We had a few little hiccups (internet password, check engine and oil lights on the dash of the car)…Siggi was quick to reply to our inquiries and the car did great while we were there. If you want to be in the hustle and bustle of Reykjavik this house isn’t your best option…but if you want to be by the water and some good walking then this house is for you. Great home, great host, and the access to the car is very nice. We would stay here again!

Great value with a warning.

Siggi and his wife are so kind. Great place and location in Reykjavik. The ocean is a short walk from the VRBO. Siggi does charge to pick you up from the airport and take you back. As one review commented, totally worth it, but do have cash for him, it was $250. With the car included in our room, I feel like we did come out ahead. Iceland is such a beautiful country. Loved it ❤️

Perfect starting point to explore Iceland, provided by great host

Siggi is a perfect and extremely kind host, and the home is a wonderful starting point to explore Iceland. Seltjarnarnes is a great place, with the grotta lighthouse, bird shores, the Kvika footbath and the wonderful hill panoramic view in short walking distances. The bikes and the very close bus station are perfect for Reykjavik, and the robust Subaru kindly provided by Siggi lead us to many incredible experiences. Thanks a lot for wonderful holidays!

Wonderful apartment and hosts

Great apartment, close to Reykjavik. Siggi, the host, offered to pick us up at the airport (for a reasonable fee) and the use of the car made the stay so much more enjoyable to not have to worry about transportation. 5-10 minute drive to City Center, or a 30-ish minute walk. He pointed out good places to eat and get groceries, and even let us rest in a different apartment until ours was ready. Great stay, wonderful hosts! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying here to explore Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. Our hosts were so kind, including directing us to a playground the kids loved and the more affordable grocery stores. Apartment was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the maps that were available as we planned our excursions each day.

Great location.

This place fit my husband 11 year old daughter, and I perfectly. It was super close to Reykjavik, very short, five minute drive to all the action. I love that it was so close to the ocean and walking paths. There was a lot to see just on that little peninsula. The house was super clean. The kitchen was just the right size. And we had plenty of space for the three of us. The best part was the use of the car. That was a significant savings for us while we traveled. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I’ve already shared about it with my friends who are planning a trip to Iceland. We even got picked up and dropped off from the airport which, although we paid more for in our opinion was well worth it. It reduced a lot of our stress. Especially with our odd flight times.

Can't wait to come back!

Clean, well appointed, great location and Siggi is such a pleasure to deal with. Having a car provided was so convenient and gave us such flexibility to do what we wanted, when we wanted. Iceland is magical! Loved every minute of it.
