The perfect family getaway

Exceptionally located in the community, especially for listening to the Freeman Stage music concerts! Condo was incredibly clean! I wish more kitchen items were available for our family of 6, such as cups, glasses, measuring cups/spoons, a cookie sheet and large baking pan. We DEFINITELY recommend to families or couples looking for the best experience of the Delaware shore!

2021 Summer Vacation

clean and good location

Townhouse was very clean. Owner has many rules, but most are easy to follow. Bayside has many wonderful amenities, but due to Covid they were not all accessible. We wish we knew that the trolley only ran on a few days, as we were counting on that to get around the resort. We were also counting on the shuttle to the beach, although we were informed ahead that it also was not running. Regardless, we still had a fun week at the pool, playing pickle ball and tennis and having the Freeman stage right there was entertaining. We would definitely vacation at Bayside again.

Great vacation

Beautiful house, very clean!! The screened in porch was great for dinners. The area all around is wonderful, pools were clean and lots of room you didn't feel cramped! Short drive to the beach, which are beautiful. Also short drive into Bethany and or Ocean City. Great place to stay!!

The Property is very clean. A Great location right next to Freeman stage.

We really enjoyed it. There were several concerts and shows going on right behind the house at Freeman stage. Boys2Men were there. We sat on the porch playing cards listening to it. The pools are Aweome with separate kid areas, food, and bar for however you wish to relax. Or Basketball Coutrs & Tennis courts if you love sports. At first I thought all the rules were crazy, but it’s just an attempt to keep the place clean and neat. Which I respect. And it is very clean and neat and we left it the same condition when we left. The internet worked Great at first but half way through stay the WIFI had no internet connection. Wired connection was great though! We would definitely stay again. It is a nice easy ride to the Ocean, and the Bars and Restaurants are very close and Great food. I have already asked Eileen to send me next years schedule as soon as it is ready!! Great Vacation. Hope to be there next year.

Beautiful community and home

Bayside is amazing, the location of this home in particular is perfect, we enjoyed the aquatic center and all of the amenities by bike or a very short walk. The home is spotless and comfortable. I would have loved to use the garage if only for our bikes but it sounds like one crummy renter a while ago ruined that for everyone. It’s not a rental for people with a crazy, messy brood, the pressure is a little bit on to keep it nice, but if you’re a tidy person who cares about other people’s things anyway, it’s easy.

Perfect Getaway, Great Amenities!

The home was great! We had 5 people with us and there was more than enough room for everyone. The community was perfect. We were close enough to all we wanted to do, but not right in the middle of all the chaos. Pools and activities like kayaking and paddle boarding were great too. We enjoyed it very much. Beds were comfortable, which was a huge plus. Communication with the owner couldn't have been better. She was very easy to reach. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Incredible Vacation Property

I was hesitant at first, deciding to stay at a resort that was not on the beach, but that was before we fell in love with Bayside and this vacation home. There was so much to do that everyone no matter the age, was busy and happy. The free crab lines and bait, kayaks, paddle boards, biking trails, tennis courts, ping pong, playgrounds, and many swimming pools kept us occupied when not at the beach. The house was lovely and very comfortable. All the necessary amenities for a family vacation. We are looking forward to next year at Bayside!

Beautiful Home!

This house was spotless. It was perfect for our family. Great location, it fit all our family needs. It was great hanging out in the screen porch listening to the music from freeman stage. Well equipped kitchen too! Eileen was very responsive. We can't wait to return next year!

It seemed like the owners don't really want to rent

Excessive, ridiculous rules such as "do not flush toilet paper," "no shoes in the house," "open door slowly," plus the threat of fines about a number of things such as losing a fork or leaving gate unlocked. Annoying signs were posted all over the house. Poorly equipped kitchen-very few utensils and cookware. Our family rents at least 3 times each summer and this was the most inhospitable house we've ever stayed in. No dressers in bedrooms, very limited cable TV, TV's in bedrooms didn't work. No use of garage made it difficult to store bikes. They even had a rule of no grilling outside, even with your own grill. We love Bayside but will never rent from these owners again.

Nice place for a vacation

The house is very clean and in a great location to hear the music from Freeman Stage. If you like a soft bed its fine but if you need a firm mattress it could be a long week of sleep. If you like to watch ESPN you will have to go out since it's not included. There are plenty of notes around the house letting you know what not to do but overall it's a nice place for a vacation. Bayside Resort is a great place for a vacation, plenty to do. Thanks Eileen and Ann!

The property was very clean and well maintained! Just a couple things that were weird.

I would recommend this rental. The property and neighborhood are very nice. The community pool and splash park were a big hit with the kids. The owner of the property was very responsive and answered all my questions very quickly. The only thing that I feel is a little weird is the fact that there are signs in the bathrooms that say do not flush toilet paper. Instead I think the owner would rather you throw the toilet paper away in the trash cans provided by the toilets. I think this was a little ugh yuck! But the reason for the note was because of toilet clogs in the past I guess but I think that was a little crazy. Other than that I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the home. It was really nice and we had a great vacation. In order to use the pool and exercise facilities you have to purchase the activities passes at 33 bucks per person. (Just and FYI ) Also the manager came in the rental right at 10:00 on the dot exactly. It startled me and the children as we were on our way out. I understand that check out is at 10:00 but it was 10:10. We were packed up and loaded but as you know kids at the last minute had to use the restroom. We were just getting the kids out and loading them up. You should know there is no grace period at all. The owner will come in the rental at 10:00 am promptly on check out Day! I thought was a little rude. That was the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of five.

Great Vacation

We enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful home in Bayside. It was extremely clean, comfortable and close to great restaurants and beaches. We spent a lot of time at the local beach area as well as Ocean City which is about 15-20 min drive. Many great restaurants and mini golf for the kids. Also enjoyed the pool at the resort, as well as kayaking one of the days there. Was nice to come back from a long day of activities and relax in this home. Would come back again. Thank you Eileen!

Great resort property

Overall, a great location with plenty of activities including the many events at the Freeman Stage, pools, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding, close to Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island and Ocean City. This specific property was very nice. Shortly after we departed, the owner informed me that "There was a small chip found in the second master's bathroom bathtub". She charged us $250 for that. I had purchased the CSA Travel damage insurance, and filled out my section of the form and forwarded it to the owner to complete. The owner informed me that "We only deduct from security deposit. We do not fill out claim forms." So, I had to file the claim (which includes a section for the owner to describe the damage and provide an estimate for the repair cost) directly with the insurance company with no input from the owner. My claim is pending.

Hidden Gem

I have been to the Ocean City and Bethany area numerous times and hadn't known about the Bayside Resort. The staff was pleasant and very helpful when utilizing the amenities and the other visitors and home owners we met were very friendly. This home is beautiful and can accommodate 6-8 people comfortably with the open plan layout. Eileen provided the lock information prior to our arrival and had the amenity passes at the home so there was no need to check in with anyone and everything was ready for us when we got there. The location was very convenient to many of the beach getaways (Ocean City, Fenwick Island, Assateaque, Bethany and Rehoboth), grocery, restaurants and pools. We utilized the resort pool facility every day and participated in numerous childrens events that were offered (there was a charge for some, but most were included with the amenity pass). The family enjoyed the kayaking, walking the trails and especially the crabbing offered at the point. Freeman stage is literally across the parking lot from this home so we were able to enjoy the concert that was taking place while sitting/dancing in the driveway and then on the back porch once the rain came. There was somewhere to go or something to do to satisfy everyone's request, although it does require the need to drive to get there, but everyone had a wonderful time. I'd suggest taking bicycles along to utilize at the resort. The point and the Commons pool are quite a distance from the where the home is located. I took cleaning supplies along after reading some of the other reviews so that I didn't have to purchase them to clean up before leaving. The only thing available is a dustpan and broom which is very small (child size). The beds are mattresses in a boxed frame so there is not much support if you have back issues. I would suggest taking along a thick foam pad to cover the mattress to help. Overall we had a great time and the home was perfect for our needs and worked out well for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bayside. This property was very nice- modern, clean and comfortable, and had every modern amenity one would want for a relaxing stay. The beds were also great -which isn't always the case with rental properties! We also really enjoyed Bayside itself- pool, golf, tennis, shows, crabbing, happy hour at the Point on Friday- it was just what we were looking for. We also visited beaches (Bethany was a favourite) and area restaurants- which again were really good and all within about 20-30 min drive. We will definitely consider returning next summer!

Comfortable, well- appointed home that made our vacation a delight!

This gorgeous house had plenty of room for our family and a few friends. The covered porch allowed us to enjoy concerts, morning coffee and rainy days - all outside but under cover! Our teens could walk to the shops and restaurants from our prime location. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary tools. It was a pleasure to vacation here!
