Family and friends getaway
The accommodations are perfect for a large group. We had several people who ranged in age from 20’s to 70’s and everyone had a blast!! This was a milestone birthday celebration and there was plenty to do for all. The property manager was very friendly and quickly responded to any and all communications. We did have to bring a charcoal bbq grill for our cookout because the rental only has a propane flat-top griddle but this is mentioned in the rental details so it was no surprise. Also mentioned is the fact that many of the bedrooms are walk throughs. This means that people will have to pass through a bedroom to get to the restroom or to another room. Not an issue as long as you don’t lock the door. We will definitely plan another trip here because we had such a great time!!!

Family reunion
We enjoyed our stay. We found the house to be clean and just like it was represented. The house is arranged for maximum occupancy but, not necessarily maximum convenience. Kitchen and living room areas are nice, the deck and outdoor areas are very nice. We had 27 people and we felt like we used every single available bed. We did not have anyone sleeping on any couches.

Family Stay for a Wedding
This house was perfect for our family that came from different states. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner here and the kitchen, family room were fantastic and the outdoors deck provided a beautiful view of the river. We even had a fire to enjoy in the fire pit. The owners were responsive right away and great to work with. Thank you to Carlos for all your help. We will be back again.

Christmas reunion
Great layout for large family like ours. Nice big kitchen/living room/deck for all to get together, but when someone wanted privacy, there were plenty of separate rooms for that. Weather cooperated to allow lots of fun in the large back yard/river area.

Mom’s 80th Birthday Bash
We had a fantastic time at The River Haven. There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were comfortable. Sitting by the river was so relaxing. We especially loved the sound of the waterfall and watching the ducks swim by with their little duckling family. It was such a sweet time; a great venue for memory-making and family FUN!

Perfect location and setting
We booked for a Corporate retreat and it was perfect. Great location, great space and enough rooms for everyone. The lay out is a little weird but we designated the pass through rooms as “dead zones” and kept them as quiet spaces and no one slept there. Great spot!

Very nice, quiet location. The house and guest house are great. Deck is very nice. Plenty of seating for everyone. Kitchen had plenty of room for our meal preparations. Check out was the easiest of any property I've stayed out. We had 14 people, 11 bedrooms needed. Bathroom access is a bit of a maze, but it works. Thank you for a great stay!

Family reunion

The River House met our needs.
The house met our needs as a place for our family to gather and we had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, flatware, cookware, ext. The houses accommodated our family of 22 well with enough beds and bathrooms. We were able to wade in the river, had a big deck to gather on and room to get some space when needed. Although we never got around to using it, the fire ring is a nice feature as well. The downside: this house is not in the hill country. It is actually in a kind of scruffy spot directly across the road from an industrial facility. The layout of the two buildings were oddly configured with some windowless rooms and several bedrooms that were pass throughs for others to access bathrooms. There is at least one inaccuracy regarding the bedroom accommodations (i.e.: no futon where there was supposed to be one). And some maintenance is needed throughout: sliding glass door is barely moveable, a clogged drain, a broken door that my brothers fixed… Additionally, there are a few hospitality related policies- like only providing 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom- that were inconvenient and kind of stingy. In the end, the property worked out fine but I wouldn't stay again.

Best Family Vacation Location EVER!
We had 21 in our group and this was the best location ever! There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms, which was our first concern. But we realized the kitchen in the main house upstairs and the kitchenettes in the downstairs of the main house and the guest house, were great. The main kitchen was well stocked with the pots and pans, kitchen utensils and appliances needed to accommodate all of us. In addition, there were plenty of trash bags (and we required a lot), dish soap, laundry soap, etc. Having 3 refrigerators was helpful when we loaded in the groceries the first day. There were plenty of towels and washrags (not supplied in all rentals). There was a nice washer and dryer provided (which is helpful with large groups such as ours). The river level was low, which was excellent. The kids were able to play safely in the water. We had planned several outings but everyone said they would have been happy just to stay at River Haven the entire time. The fire pit (although hot in mid-July evenings) was perfect for s'mores. The yard was perfect for games. And the water was perfect for getting cooled off. We were very pleased with this accommodation and so will you be if you choose River Haven.

Great House for Large Groups with Gorgeous View
This house is perfect for large groups of 18+ people! The layout is a little awkward, but helps it never feel too crowded or noisy. Having three fridges was great for a group of our size. The backyard and river access is incredible. There was plenty of water in the river to sit in, swim, or explore the waterfall that's just behind the house. We hung out in the river behind the house one day, then took a party bus into town to rent tubes and float the river the next day.

Great gathering place!
We had our closest family and friends together for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The River Haven was perfect and well equipped for our group. Everyone had a memorable weekend. The hosts are really awesome with all the details and the app is handy and filled with area and vendor info.

Team builder trip
Great location for a small team building event! Everyone had a room and a bathroom which worked out perfectly! It was a great location with the river behind the house and great wind down time after visiting work sites! The owners were great to work with and the place was clean! And I loved using the griddle on the back porch to whip up breakfast! Overall great experience and great place!

Sisters Trip
Sisters Trip Was A Success What a wonderful trip. We have been here numerous times. The water level is a little low but up some from the last time we were here. There was plenty of water for tubing, fishing and canoeing. We try to come every six months to stay grounded and remind us that it’s important to enjoy life and spend time with those you love. We intended to rent a different location every six months but this one worked out so well we choose to come here time and again. The house is well equipped, clean, perfectly decorated and the outdoors speak for themselves. Lots to see on our 20 minute walk. We can sit out on the porch or by the fire pit and listen to the river flow. It’s very peaceful. What we takeaway from this trip every six months is indescribable. We leave well rested and with full hearts. Thank you River Haven for your hospitality! Sisters

Amazing property!
We had 28 people and had plenty of room! The river is definitely low but it is still beautiful to look at and we even had some people do a “polar plunge”! Each bed had ample pillows, bathrooms stocked with plenty of towels and the hosts even provide throw blankets to cozy up with! The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. And 4 coffee pots! The fire pit area was our favorite place to hang out while the kids explored. We will be back! The host is super responsive and friendly and we had ZERO issues or complaints!

About 20 of us booked this for a long weekend for a bachelor party. The property was perfect for it. Tons of beds and everything you need for a great weekend. I also had a couple questions throughout my stay and the hosts were so nice and quick to respond!

Spacious and quirky...
The home is definitely spacious and has the amount of beds and rooms as advertised. It took us some getting used to to figure the home out...the layout is quirky, but it holds a lot of rooms! It is an older home, so just be prepared for that. But everything worked... it had exceptional hot water and most of the TV's worked. It may be a little more difficult for older people because all the TV's used streaming to get to the channels, but with a little help you can get everything working. The kitchen had everything that we needed. There was enough towels, but we did have to get more TP, and paper towels (which is explained prior to check in). We didn't get a chance to get in the water or do anything with it because of the time of year it was, but I'm sure it would be great in the summer.

Family reunion
Our family began oozing out of Texas some years ago. This annual family reunion helps guarantee that Texas gets them all back at least once a year. The property was well maintained and the river is a glorious backdrop. We loved our week here

Great setting for strategic planning
Our team met to plan our strategy for next year. the space was enough that everyone had their own room. the main house living and dining allowed for enough space to give presentations and encourage involvement from everyone present. The property is beautiful - far enough away from distractions, but close enough to run to town for dinner. Would definitely recommend for team retreats!

Girls Trip
Every year 11 women get together and have been friends since high school. When we go to a hotel, we don’t get to spend as much time with each other and it’s always impersonal and rushed so we looked for a home where everyone can have their own bedroom but yet we can cook and drink wine and talk for 48 hour weekend. Loved outdoor atmosphere with all the yard lighting, fire pit and great sound system; played smooth jazz and drank mimosas in mornings:)

Wedding of our dreams!
This property gave "backyard wedding" a whole new meaning. We were able to spend 3 days with our family and friends swimming, cooking, hanging out by the fire, and overall blending our two families! It felt like a holiday, where all of your family comes into town to spend quality time together! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and made for the most beautiful pictures and atmosphere. It was our fairytale dream wedding and were so thankful for the owners of the River Haven for answering all of our questions and making it such an easy process. We were very cozy and we hope to make this a family reunion place to return to. We cannot say enough about this place and our experience!

Amazing property!
We had a couples retreat for our church group with 8 couples. The property exceeded our expectations! There is SO much room! House was very clean and great amenities. The huge firepit and circle seating was amazing! Being right on the river with the waterfall so close was peaceful. Having 11 bedrooms that all fit adults is rare and one of the reasons we selected this property. The communication with the owner was a breeze with very fast responses. We will be back!

Intimate and Beautiful
Our group had a great time hosting an intimate wedding ceremony right on the river. The rooms were great and private enough for all of our guests. We were able to spread out throughout the property comfortably. We loved it here and would definitely return in the future.

Great property! Very clean, well-maintained, and functional for our family of 25 (6-mo. - 90 yr old)
This property worked out very well for our family reunion. Plenty of space to comfortably sleep the 25 adults and kids that showed up but it would’ve been a little cramped if all 32 made it. The house has been very well maintained and was very clean. The floor plan was a little odd in places but I’ve also never seen a high occupancy short-term rental property that wasn’t odd in places so it wasn’t really an issue. The common areas inside and the outside living spaces and rec areas were roomy and worked well for meals, playing, or lounging. Although water levels were low at the time we went and this area was experiencing a drought, it was actually very pleasant and worked perfect for our group for kids to swim and play in areas they could touch but deep enough in deeper areas for the adults to “play”. The waterfall was a popular attraction for the older kids to jump off of and the water in that area was deeper than I was comfortable enough to swim down and find. If you or your guests like to fish you definitely should take your poles. We caught a lot of large mouth bass and catfish using artificial lures, hotdogs, and with the minnows/shiners we caught with a cast net. Overall, I give the property an A+ and give the property Manager Carlos an A+

Great views & spacious
Awesome experience with this home, communication with Carlos and Owner was excellent. We had a little hiccup with lower level not being a cool as the rest of the upper level, nonetheless we messaged Carlos and then the owner contacted us promptly to address the issue. We are so grateful for the hospitality! Thank you very much. We definitely will recommend this location it had all we needed for our whole family to stay and enjoy. There is only one little recommendation… a tree swing! The yard is gorgeous. Thanks again y’all!

Large and perfect size for a large group. Spot on the river is perfect to bring floats and tie off to surrounding area log or dock. Love the location, felt secluded and private even with the surrounding houses. Great weekend!

Spacious Property
Wonderful place to stay. The property is spacious, stocked with basic essentials, and more than adequate for our family size. Communication with the owner was also a breeze; highly responsive and extremely understanding, as I inadvertently left a personal belonging behind and they immediately made arrangements for me to pick up my belongings even though it was 3 hours after we had checked out.
