Hemlock Hollow--Secluded wilderness cabin bordering Park

Welcome to Hemlock Hollow--quiet seclusion and true wilderness at the head of a sandstone canyon. Folk-art and rustic hand-crafted getaway with all the creature-comforts: Large wrap-around porches with plenty of rocking chairs, two canvas hammocks, a large outdoor shower and soaking tub (seasonal), hand-made Amish cedar bunkbeds, bountiful indoor and outdoor kitchens, large fire pit, and plenty of room for throwing frisbee, playing corn hole, or other outdoor games. .

This property borders Pickett State Park / Pogue Creek Canyon and rests in the Federal Dark Sky Park designation with terrific star-gazing opportunities. This is a perfect spot for those seeking quiet, seclusion, reflection, or a place to host a small retreat, Wildlife is abundant and birding is fantastic. Eagles, hawks, whippoorwills, bobcat, coyote, owls, bear, turkey, deer, grouse, and wild boar have all been spotted on the property. This is a rural property bordering State and Federal protected lands, be aware and vigilant of your surroundings: there are wild animals, steep cliffs, poor cell service (when away from the wi-fi), poison ivy, snakes, and other potential hazards as you would find hiking in the Big South Fork NRRA

Each season offers its beauty at Hemlock Hollow.

Such a wonderful place to stay!
My husband and I stayed here with our son and his friend who ran the No Business 100, one hundred mile trail race. The house and property are magical with wonderful touches, especially in the outdoor spaces! The outdoor tub and the outdoor kitchen areas seem out of a magazine. Rustically beautiful! There are also indoor well stocked kitchen and bathrooms :) We loved our stay! Thanks for sharing your place!

Relaxing cabin tucked away in a beautiful valley
This cabin was everything that was advertised and more! Great weekend get away close to home but far enough to unplug for a while. The property is very private with plenty attractions a short drive away. We had to do some cleaning upon our arrival, but besides that the cabin was very accommodating.
