it was so beautiful that i will come back again
i was able to spend six nights and days at this especially beautiful place in may 2024. i felt very comfortable here, i was able to sleep well, i could work, read, enjoy the sechelt inlet and cook. the apartment offers everything you need to relax for several days and to experience and enjoy the magnificent nature around sechelt. it is also exceptional that as a guest you are allowed to use and enjoy the outdoor area with the terraces down to the sea. the hosts are very friendly, welcoming, helpful and know lots of tips for hikes, experiences, restaurants, stores and special places. thank you very much for making your particularly beautiful apartment available to us strangers so that we can also experience and enjoy this beautiful place.

Very comfortable suite. Geat view of the water. Wonderful if the weather is good. Host is extremely helpful and accommodating. Tough to find the first time. Driveway and stairs would be difficult for some people.

Lovely place, friendly hosts, excellent scones
The place was wonderful. We enjoyed easy access to inlet-side seats, a fire pit, and were also greeted by a lovely cat named Raj. Bev and Bill were excellent hosts, friendly and generous but gave us our space. Would happily stay here again!

Beautiful Babajamas
My wife and I stayed at this beautiful getaway in November. We were greeted by Bev, who was very friendly and accommodating. The unit was very clean and cozy. There were freshly baked scones, homemade jam and granola, and a local bottle of wine waiting for us in the kitchenette. The view was wonderful, especially from the platform down by the water (quite the stairmaster workout to get there). The only downside was the mattress; it was way too firm for both of us, so we had trouble sleeping. Overall, the place was very nice and relaxing. We hope to return some day

Hello Scott and Shelby, We are so glad you enjoyed your return stay and we’re happy to spoil you on your second visit with us. We are actually purchasing a softer mattress for the new year. It has been a tough decision as the majority of our guests seem to like a firmer mattress. Hopefully something in between will please all. Thank you for letting us know your preference. Home away from home
We loved everything about this property…it was like staying with friends who provide every comfort of home with a lot more privacy. You can’t go wrong staying in this lovely, roomy suite. Bev and Bill couldn’t be more accommodating and her baking is the best in town.

Unique and charming hideaway
My husband and I were amazed at how charming this place is!! We immediately felt like this was perfect ! The home is rich with wood accents on the decks- the landings down to the beach were little hideaways- so much space to relax in! Hosts Bill and Bev were perfect, with added goodies. We love Sechelt and our stay was awesome.

Perfect in every way
When you make a reservation based on pictures and reviews, you cross your fingers and hope for the best. If you're lucky enough to stay in Bev and Bill's home-away-from-home, you'll truly enjoy "The Best" that VRBO has to offer. The beautifully decorated home has stunning views from several layers of decks all the way to the ocean where you can totally relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. Great stay on the Sunshine Coast
We loved our stay in Sechelt. This was a perfect home base to explore the island and to come back to after a day of paddling, swimming and hiking. We loved the location, the views from the many decks, the apartment and the scones!!! Thank you Bev and Bill for being such great hosts.

Babajamas summer 2023
Certainly lived up to our expectations. Lovely hosts. Perfect little suite with all we needed. Great location for launching kayaks at the little marina just down the street. Dog was happy. We were happy. Couldn’t have done better.

Beautiful Views, Wonderful Hosts!
We spent part of our honeymoon on the Sunshine Coast and had the most lovely time! Bev and Bill are fantastic, thoughtful hosts, and the treats and local recommendations they shared with us were much appreciated. They even had champagne for us on our arrival (and chocolate strawberries later in our stay) to help us celebrate our honeymoon. Such a sweet gesture! The suite is comfortable and well equipped, and the views from the various decks are gorgeous. We especially enjoyed drinking coffee on the lower deck and taking our paddle boards out in the inlet. Overall, we had a fantastic time! I highly recommend staying with Bev and Bill. We hope we can make another trip back sometime soon. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Bev and Bill have a lovely home on a steep slope overlooking Porpoise Bay. The outdoor space is fabulous. We were treated so well—don’t like to detail it—how can they do this for everyone! Yet the reviews are unanimous—they are the best of hosts.

Excellent accommodations
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Bill and Bev are excellent hosts with excellent recommendations. No details were missed in this suite and we loved all of the outside areas where we could relax, the special touches and the suite was an ideal layout for us to spend our time in. We were close to downtown Sechelt, Davis Bay, Sandy Hook and it was a beautiful drive to Ruby Lake from this location. We hope to be back again.

Wow what a place!! Bill was great, very helpful. It is a bit of a hike down stairs to the lower deck, but we’ll worth it. Spent a lot of time down there soaking up the sun and enjoying the view. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean an in perfect condition. We would not hesitate to go back!

Perfect, cozy and scenic!
We spent 3 days at Babajamas and were very impressed with the accommodations. Bev and Bill are great hosts and were very attentive. The bedroom is cozy and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could need to prepare meals or enjoy takeout from the many local restaurants. We appreciated how clean and tidy the place was. We enjoyed spending time on the deck in the mornings and again after day hikes in the local forests. We feel very relaxed and we highly recommend Babajamas to anyone who wants to simply relax or enjoy a vast variety of outdoor recreational activities in beautiful B.C.

A special place!
The property location is beautiful, serene, and makes you feel lucky to be there. Accommodation was cozy and comfortable. Sitting out on the deck and watching seals, seaplanes, eagles and other wildlife was amazing. A wonderful place to stay.

Great Spot!
We have a wonderful 4 day stay here. The unit, which is the lower part of the house, has a great deck to calmly enjoy the sunshine, nature and an excellent view of the bay. The interior of the unit is well appointed and nicely furnished. Bev and Bill were great hosts with good advice when needed.

My Sechelt Sanctuary
This was my second time staying at this suite. And it won’t be my last. The serene location, and Bev’s scones, have made it a special place to go when I need a quick get away from the bustle of Vancouver or when I want to take time for a writing retreat. Bev is so kind and thoughtful that I always feel at ease knowing she is close by if I need her for anything. And the 4 decks on the property allow for a variety of views and settings to enjoy the natural environment. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and nature walks.

Great place, Great hosts.
Beautiful property. Close to golf and beaches and a very nice town. Highlight of my trip was kayaking. Accommodations were super clean and well equipped. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. I would like to stay again sometime. Perfect place for a romantic retreat or a personal get away for peace and serenity.

Just Lovely!
My husband and I are from the central United States and wanted to experience the Vancouver area for our honeymoon. We searched for quite a while and looked at many properties all over the area, but when we saw this property on West Porpoise Bay, we knew this was where we wanted to begin our honeymoon. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We stayed here from September 24 to September 28, 2022. The suite offers all you need, a clean and comfortable mini-kitchen, living area with quite a view from a large picture window, comfortable bed and bedroom, and bathroom. We even enjoyed a game of foosball. I lost. :-) We were able to cook our meals in the kitchen or drive the short distance into town for delicious meals. Bev and Bill have thought of everything to make your stay special. The best part of this property, though, is the view. There are at leave five different "decks" from which you can sit and relax, taking in breathtaking views of the Sechelt Inlet, and you can walk down to the water as well. We enjoyed coffee from the lowest deck every morning, and I sat and journaled from the deck with stools and the top deck picnic table. We saw seals in the water, which was fun. We counted 99 stairs from the top deck to the water's edge, and the path is beautifully laid out and easy to maneuver. We saw lots of little hidden decorations along the path to each of the decks. It's just perfectly landscaped, quiet, peaceful, and offered everything we wanted.

Great little get away!

Absolutely Fantastic Accommodation
We absolutely loved our week on the Sunshine Coast and included was this beautiful ocean front home. Bev and Bill were wonderful hosts always guiding us with great places to explore, and friendly conversation. Can't say enough nice things about them. We were greeted with homemade goodies, the suite was immaculately clean, and fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. And the location was so lovely, with many seating spots to take in the gorgeous ocean views. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Remarkable Hospitality
I arranged for my mother to stay at West Porpoise Bay while she was in Sechelt for a family wedding. Everything about the stay was ideal including the beautiful home, the spacious suite, the decks with views, the generous hosts, and the great communication. Beautiful Oasis
Warmly welcomed by both Bill and Bev. Beautiful place with flowers and trees surrounding the deck, facing the inlet. Cool breeze from the water cooling you off. Comfy bed and fully stocked kitchen. Magical
This place is magical! The hosts are delightful and helpful.. sweet treats were a joy (scones, granola, wine, popcorn, etc) they go above snd beyond to ensure a restful stay. The decks and views are beautiful and peaceful! We highly recommend babajamas snd would love to return! Cheers!
