Our hosts were lovely, and the place was really comfortable to be in, felt like you could actually live there forever. And although the furthest we got was sticking our feet in the pool it would’ve been lovely in the height of summer. But we were there for a wedding so didn’t really get time. It’s a little bit out of the way, but so quiet and beautiful amongst the grape vines. I would highly recommend this if you’re wanting to get away and relax.

We really enjoyed our time in Sonoma County recently. We split the trip into two areas with this house being the last part of it. It was secluded & perfect for my wife & me. I wouldn't suggest more than a couple or family of 3. The pool & hot tub were great with fantastic views.As they mentioned in their guest book that power outages do happen, and it did happen to us on our last day. As we were leaving for the day we saw Doug & mentioned this to him. He acknowledged. When we returned a few hours later to relax by the pool, the power was still out & remained out through until we left that evening for our flight. We left voicemails and they were returned, unfortunately, after we left. It's ok. Overall, we had a great trip and would recommend the Birdhouse for a couple looking to stay around Sebastopol

Good view in a very convenient location

The Birdhouse worked out very well for us during our few days of exploring Sonoma County. It was a short drive to all the great restaurants in Sebastopol, there are several great wineries nearby, the coast is 20mins. We enjoyed being able to relax in the hot tub and pool. The driveway is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle, but manageable.

We absolutely loved the place with the beautiful property and views! The hosts were wonderful and quickly responded when i locked myself out of the house . Relaxation and Pool Fun

Nancy and Doug provide a thoughtful, relaxing, and beautiful experience. The property has incredible views of trees and vineyards and the cozy home has everything needed for an easy a comfortable stay. The pool area has it all…a space to read in the shade, play in the water, eat a meal, or engage in a game of Scrabble. Our pup was also so happy during our visit. We enjoyed the company of our hosts at various points during our stay and look forward to coming back sometime in the future. Thank you :)

A little piece of paradise

Nestled on a hillside, surrounded by native greenery and trees, relaxation just happens. Add to this the graciousness of the owners and we had a memorable 6 days at The Bird House. The house was well equipped with all we needed for meal prep, entertainment and comfort for adults and kids. The pool area had plenty of comfy sitting areas in and out of direct sun. The pool itself was the perfect temperature and crystal clear. Many thanks for all the little touches making us feel welcome.

Old Friend Trip

We had a wonderful time. Doug and Nancy are terrific hosts. The place was perfect for a group of 4 who wanted a clean place with a beautiful pool for a relaxing long weekend sans kids. Of course, we can't wait to come back and bring the kids the next chance we have.

Enchanting Bird House

My husband, our dog and I had a perfectly lovely stay at Nancy and Doug's Sonoma County Bird House. While we live only an hour away, we felt a million miles away in this quiet retreat. The views are amazing and the pool, cabana and hot tub are so enticing. Beyond the well equipped- kitchen, comfortable furnishings and bed, the Bird House is filled with beautiful original art created by the owners. The book shelf is full of great reading material and gorgeous bird books we loved perusing, as well as extensive information on nearby hiking trails, restaurants, spas and wineries. Altogether, a very special find and aptly named Bird House!

Cozy Bird House Stay

The Bird House is a sweet cottage on a beautiful property. It’s quite cozy and welcoming. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the decor (especially liked the curtains). Love the cozy nest spot off the living room… perfect for reading in the rain! Nice hot tub! Many thoughtful details. Highly recommend!

A Perfect Getaway!

We loved the Birdhouse and will definitely come back! It's immaculate with so many amenities... we did our best to take advantage of them, from grilling dinner each night, washing our dog in the outdoor shower and hanging by the pool. Doug and Nancy are wonderful hosts and even performed a couple songs for us poolside! Delightful!

Fantastic Stay in Wine Country

We LOVED the Birdhouse and would gladly stay there again. Hopefully when it is less soggy and we can use the hot tub or pool. The house was in the country. It was cute…. exactly as listed. It came with Everything needed to make it feel truly like you are at home. The only challenge is the driveway to the house; you must back down it (which is difficult, especially at night).

Lovely sweet spot

Just a lovely sweet spot. Fully outfitted kitchen made our stay very comfortable and we needed nothing. Warm and accommodating property managers that went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Very responsive and kind. So glad we stayed!

Perfect Getaway

From the heated pool to the cozy house this place was perfect for our little family vacation. It's a quick drive to lots of great hiking spots, wineries, and dinner spots in downtown Sebastopol. Nancy, Doug, and Pat were very welcoming hosts.
