Incredible House with Great View

Had a great time at the Sebastopol house. Beautiful house on an incredible piece of property with views of Mt. St. Helena. Hot tub works, well appointed kitchen. As other reviews mention, there are a lot of stairs so it may be difficult for the elderly to get around the house. Giant master suite. Two other bedrooms share a second bath downstairs. Tip for finding the house: when you're driving down the driveway past the mailboxes, you can either take an upper driveway that gets you to the back entrance at the kitchen (the one we used) or a second lower driveway which takes you to the lower floor and main entrance along with the pool house. I recommend taking the upper driveway when you first arrive.

Our Honeymoon

We had such a great time in Sebastopol! The house was so big we got lost a time or two the first day/night lol The fireplaces were awesome. The location was amazing, total opposite the flat valley in the desert here in Phoenix. We’d love to return perhaps during summertime and take advantage of the pool as well. We had a wonderful time, thank you so much

Our 2 families had the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful property. The backyard was the highlight of our visit with a lovely pool and spa. Would definitely recommend.

Great time

We had such a great time over the labor day weekend. I found the outside pool area was beautiful & relaxing. We celebrated my daughters birthday who just recently lost her best friend it was nice to see my daughter smile again. The only little complaint we have is that there were no batteries in any remote control. We got over that quick. Thank you from our family to yours!

Gorgeous home w/views. Private & Secluded. Close to Everything.

What a special home in a fabulous private setting with long range views, inviting gardens, and a variety of unique spaces to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the property. The high quality finishes and fixtures and generous space between each of the guest suites is reminiscent of a custom home - it was perfect for 3 couples. Everything you need is there...lots of good towels, bottled water, a well equipped kitchen, even a printer. Every cupboard and fixture is labeled, making it easy to find what you need and convenient to return things to their proper places. The multiple fireplaces were a treat, especially the wood burning fireplace by the pool. The owner was extremely responsive and always available to answer questions and to assist. There were a variety of maintenance issues which need attention, there is no art work on the walls (it's all gone) and some of the furnishings are not as pictured on line (i.e. no furniture in the entry hall, no bedspread on the master suite bed ), but these things did not negatively impact our stay. We hope to return to this gorgeous residence someday soon.

A weekend of bliss

We adored our stay at this lovely property. The property feels quite secluded and the grounds are well maintained and spacious. The instructions that came with the house helped us find everything we needed from extra linens to pool towels to outdoor glassware. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. On the whole the house had everything we needed. The owner was easy to reach and responsive. The only thing that the house needs are more bowls for entertaining. We served many things family style and could have used more of them. The house layout is a bit unique, but didn't bother us at all. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely home.

Great private retreat for a close-to-home vacation!

We had two families staying at the property and there was plenty of room for all of us. It felt very private as the back yard looks out to a vast view that includes Mt St Helena. Spent most of our days hanging by the pool with just a couple excursions to the Barlow in Sebastopol and some local wineries, which were all very close. And the pool house became a great place for the kids to hangout. Stairs could be an issue for some if mobility is at all a problem. But for us, it was a fantastic and relaxing escape -- great communication with the property owner as well. Thank you, we'd be eager to rent this property again!

Would book again!

Very beautiful property, bigger than pictures show. Check-in was a little confusing as there are 2 different driveways with lost pf parking. However after calling the host everything else was great. He was very flexible and accommodating to all our needs and questions, he always picked up his phone and/or messaged back. Minor downsides, pool isn't as heated and hot water doesn't last too long at time in the shower or bath. Other than minor things, we had a fun stay in this beautiful spot. Do recommend especially during spring season.

Beware of bogus damage charges from this property

I had a very unpleasant experience dealing with Andrew. After spending a lot of money staying at his mansion he tried to tack on a very expensive charge for bogus damage fees for a small crack in the driveway. I was very disappointed because we had a nice weekend here. Driveways are for driving and if you have old concrete it will crack from time to time. Don't charge your guests for your old driveway repairs. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Family getaway gem

Amazing property overall. We came for the secluded pool and spa, and outdoor living space. There was a lovely garden with fruit trees, and blackberry bushes, even somewhat of a small hiking trail on the property. The house itself was great, lots of space and good spaces for games and different people to relax in different areas. A few minor critiques - the TV setups were difficult to get working properly and most of the remote controls in the house were out of battery. We also had difficulties with the pool heater not working for at least a full day, but the property manager was responsive and helped to get a technician out there to get it up and running. The house had a few areas that needed maintenance such as window shades that were falling apart and some were not operating properly. Some rooms were lacking in light - there were several burnt out light bulbs and generally low light throughout. There are also quite a lot of stairs on the property which are fine for us but could be challenging depending on your guests. The pool house was also a great feature, but the entire house and the pool house were both rather hot. I was a little surprised this house does not have air conditioning (at least not accessible by the guests) considering how hot it can get - we were there in the fall during a bit of a heat wave. It might not be comfortable for you in the summer unless you are okay with a house that gets really hot inside. Overall the complaints are minor and we had a great stay.

Poolside girls weekend

Spent the weekend with my mom, aunts and cousins to celebrate my sister’s “bachelorette” Covid style. The house and property were beautiful with windows galore! Felt secluded with stunning views of the backyard and trees everywhere! Beds were super comfortable, even the Murphy bed in the pool house. Lots of available amenities like towels for the pool/hot tub, dishes and utensils, shampoo and body wash, etc. Communication was excellent with property manager, answering various questions before the stay. Only possible downside of the property would be the amount of stairs - lots of stairs to go between the main house and pool/pool house and you have to use stairs to get to all the bedrooms from the main floor (kitchen and living room). This wasn’t a problem at all for our group, and we actually enjoyed the various levels. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone! Even the members of our group said they would want to stay here again in the future! Thank you for an amazing family girls weekend, much needed!!

Refreshing getaway

A beautiful, spacious house and grounds! We had 5 adults and 2 young children for a long weekend away from the city. The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We cooked some great meals and admired the view.
