The Space:

Zegarra Estate spreads across six private acres of west Sonoma countryside, with a main ranch house, a separate vineyard cottage, and a creek-fed canyon between them. Pool, hot tub, bocce, ping pong, pool table -- the property is built for a group that doesn't want to leave.



Spend mornings on the patio as the valley wakes up, afternoons among the tasting rooms or under the redwood canopy at Armstrong Reserve, and evenings under the redwood canopy with a bottle from the day's barrel-room visits.



THE RANCH HOUSE

The living room gathers around a wood-burning fireplace with turquoise tile surround and white built-in shelving, large windows framing the pool and forest beyond. The chef's kitchen centers on a generous island under a skylight -- light wood cabinetry, wood counters, and professional stainless appliances make garden-view cooking effortless.



THE VINEYARD COTTAGE

A separate living area with its own sliding glass doors opens to a covered patio, and a kitchenette with dining for two handles morning coffee and light meals. The layout holds an extended family or a wedding party without anyone tripping over each other.



OUTDOOR LIVING

A heated pool (fee to heat) stretches across the deck with lounge chairs, while a private hot tub sits on a raised wood platform ringed by ferns and forest canopy. Play bocce or fire up the gas grill for patio dining. A private creek winds through the property, with mountain, valley, and water views at every turn.



SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Four bedrooms across both buildings sleep up to 14 -- two king beds and three queen beds split between the Ranch House and the Vineyard Cottage, plus a sofa bed for overflow. The two-building layout gives multi-generation groups and wedding parties real separation without losing the shared evening gathering spaces.

Guest Access:

You've got the run of the entire 6-acre estate -- both buildings, all outdoor amenities, dogs welcome. No shared spaces, no other guests on-site.



Check in via the Schlage keypad code at the front door (sent before arrival). Park up to eight vehicles total: three in the garage, five on the grounds.



The Neighborhood:

Zegarra Estate sits in the rural countryside between Sebastopol and the coast, surrounded by forest, farms, and vineyards. Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery (0.3 mi) is practically next door; Freeman Vineyard & Winery (1.1 mi), Char Vale Vineyards (1.4 mi), and Bowman Cellars (1.8 mi) round out the immediate cluster.



Graton (about 5 minutes) is home to Willow Wood Market Cafe (1.8 mi) -- a beloved local spot for farm-fresh meals -- and Graton Town Square (1.7 mi). The Wild Poppy Cafe (2.3 mi) and The Altamont General Store (3.0 mi) are the casual local favorites. Andy's Produce Market (2.7 mi) is a Sebastopol institution for groceries and local finds.



The Barlow -- Sebastopol's 12-acre food, wine, and craft marketplace anchored by Kosta Browne, Spirit Works Distillery, and a dozen restaurants -- is about 10 minutes by car.



Getting Around:

Sebastopol is about 70 minutes north of San Francisco via 101 -- a straight shot into the apple orchards and vineyards of west Sonoma. Plan to drive: Bodega Bay (35 min west), Healdsburg (30 min north), Armstrong Redwoods (25 min), and the Russian River beaches are all within easy reach. Parking handles eight vehicles -- three in the garage, five on the grounds -- so a multi-car group never has to shuffle.

Setting: 6 private acres with a creek and mature forest. The natural setting is part of the experience; you may encounter local wildlife.



Climate: Sebastopol runs cooler than inland Sonoma Valley thanks to coastal fog. Mornings and evenings can be cool even in summer -- open the windows in the evening to pull cool air in, close them by midmorning to hold it. The home has central AC for warm afternoons and a wood-burning fireplace for chilly nights.



Game room: the pool table and ping pong are housed in the garage building.
