The green surround was charmingly rustic. Parking a little challenging and stairs slightly challenging (we are in our 70s). Warm and cozy - a lot like a treehouse.

Cute place, nice location. Light fixture in kitchen didn't seem to work, very dark in there. Overhead bedroom light didn't work. Bedside lamps were very dim, we bought light bulbs so that we could use the bedside lamps, and had to take them into the dining room to use the table.Dog hair from a previous guest was all over.House was very cold when we arrived and it took us a while to find the heat

Such a unique spot in Seattle! Loved feeling like I was in the secluded woods, just to take 100 steps around the corner to see the beautiful Seattle skyline! Also minutes from the water taxi, and the restaurants right along the waterfront of Elliot Bay did not disappoint!!

Stay at Tipsy Cabin

If you want drills - this is not the place for you - if you are looking for a place to sleep it works. The spot is a little off beaten path but accessible to ferry which is great.

Adorable place with great location

This is perfect location. You feel so tucked away but the city is all around you. Was perfect for getting scub certified as the certification area was just down the drive way.There also is wifi. I believe the listing says there is not but there is.

Hideaway for those who look for seclusion

If you want to be surrounded by lush green trees and looking for secluded meditation away from people and city noise then you won’t be disappointed. Parking is not for the faint of heart - the road is barely wide enough for a single car so getting a car into a carport can be tricky. My advise - drive a bit forward and then back in into the carport , otherwise there’s no space for turning around. Climbing to the house up several stairs is certainly not for people with limited mobility - very narrow, steep and no rails in some sections. The house itself is very much a tree house, with a tilted floor and bare boards for walls. There is no TV or a radio with alarm clocks so bring your own entertainment, if needed. There is no cooking range or stove, just an electric single burner and a microwave. There is mini fridge so it’s not completely void of conveniences. The deck is overlooking such an awesome green forest but there wasn’t a single deck chair or table there so we had to bring our own set so we could enjoy our meals there. The pillows are very lumpy so you’d better bring your own. But despite these little things we loved our stay here - close to everything, very secluded and quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.Thanks!

Best of mix of water, woods, and city.

This is a cozy, and peaceful wooded cottage close to the city. Overally it was a great stay - walking distance to the ferry to downtown Seattle and the beach. We had a fantastic time and ejoyed our stay.

B-day stay

We have become huge fans of West Seattle after this trip! Your home had the essentials and we slept well. There are a few items we’d love to provide feedback on, with the full understanding of the rustic accommodations:- Lighting in the bathroom was severely lacking. We are not high maintenance as far as our getting ready routines but we were unable to see ourselves in the mirror! -We love a clawfoot tub but the shower liner did not provide closure when taking a shower. Therefore, water simply poured outside of the tub regardless of how we situated the shower head and the liner.-We did notice a lack of cleanliness within your cabin. There were cobwebs all over and dust bunnies under everything. We did enjoy the location in the area! We had a stellar time at Saltys and really loved being able to walk to and from the ferry. Thank you for being open to feedback and for sharing your home with us.

Cute and cozy

We loved our stay in this upper level, cozy flat. It was super minimalist, yet had everything we needed. Close to a healthy grocery store and, best of all, a 7-min walk to the passenger ferry that goes right downtown in 15 min!
