  • Summary:

    Welcome to Alki Beach, Seattle's birthplace, and home of the historic Alki cottage. Built in 1907 and recently updated, this cottage is one of the original West Seattle beach houses. Detailed with memorabilia, this two-story bungalow celebrates Seattle's legendary music scene. Enjoy Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain views from your front porch and throughout the house. Launch paddle boards or kayaks directly across the street.



    The Space:

    You'll find the extensive walking and bike path along Alki here as well. When you're ready to go sightseeing or take in a game, hop on the water taxi for a scenic ride across Elliott Bay to Seattle's waterfront and downtown! Styled with an amazing array of memorabilia, the living room is a music lover's dream! Choose an album to play from the well-stocked collection. Or settle in on the sleeper sofa and watch a movie on the 58-inch Smart TV. The reading nook also offers a record player and gorgeous water views.



    Prepare meals and beach snacks in the well-appointed kitchen, equipped with a full suite of stainless steel appliances. When you're ready to eat, gather around the welcoming table in the dining area. Start your day sipping coffee on the porch with a full view of Puget Sound and the Alki boardwalk. A firepit, ample seating, and gas grill await on the patio. In the yard, you'll find a gas grill and picnic table - perfect for a sunlit al fresco meal. This relaxing retreat is steps from the Alki Beach Volleyball courts as well as numerous eateries and pubs. Spend the day tide-pooling or take in breathtaking sunsets at one of the fire pits along the beach!



    The passenger-only water taxi at Seacrest Ferry Dock is less than a mile away. Grab the free shuttle or skate, bike, or walk to it as bikes are allowed on-board. Enjoy the stunning views of downtown Seattle as the water taxi transports you to Colman Dock. Then stroll to popular attractions like Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, historic Pioneer Square, and the sports stadiums (Century Link and T-Mobile Park). There is the bustling West Seattle shopping district - The Junction (home of Easy Street Records, Husky Deli, Bakery Nouveau, etc) for a local experience.

The location is perfect. Close enough to the downtown area but far enough away to enjoy some solitude. The location is off the road, so street noise is minimal. Right across the road to the beach / water.

Cool place, like a rock and roll museum. Great location. Dealt with ants most of the stay and some personal items were still in the shower from the previous tenant.

This is a very cool house with a rich musical history located in a historic area of West Seattle. It is clean and well stocked with all the basics. The location is great across from the beach and near the foot ferry to downtown Seattle. Communication was excellent. Our only complaint was that it was hot when we were there and there was no a/c in the house. The house could really benefit from some shades in the front room windows to block the late day sunlight as well as a few room a/c units for hot days. Otherwise, we really loved the house!

Thanks for an amazing view and close to beach location! It was close to downtown Seattle and the closeness to the beach couldn’t be any better! We struggled to stay cool, however, especially in the late afternoons and evenings. It was hard to be comfortable even with the couple of fans there were there. We wish there had been more window coverings for privacy. We knew it was going to have a different vibe about it with the decor, but we wish some of the decorations could have been a little more family friendly. It’s an old house, which we knew about, but there were some things that should probably be addressed—like the kitchen faucet turning on at random moments, due to a loose handle. We struggled to feel comfortable with the ants that seemed to be a big problem. Still a fun location! Thanks for incredible views!

this house, built in the early 20th century, is in the perfect location to enjoy Alki. Its cozy and has plenty of room for friends or families. The record collection is top notch and lends itself to group listening sessions, a perfect way to spend a rainy day when the seattle weather keeps you off the beach.

Great location

This house has an amazing location. It’s very old and rickety, but if you can just embrace that, the location is wonderful. You can see the water, and it’s a short drive to downtown Seattle.

Perfect beach vibes

What a hidden gem! We had an amazing time and made some beautiful memories here with our friends for Fourth of July. The vibes were extremely chill and welcoming. Super close to the beach and all that Alki has to offer. We will definitely be back.

Great place

Fun stay on the beach

The house was charming and clean. The view from the house was spectacular! It’s a short, beautiful walk to the beach and lots of restaurants. Great location!
