It’s a very cute place, but understand that it is located in one of the older hillside neighborhoods in Seattle that has winding narrow streets that aren’t on a grid pattern. Therefore access to the unit is ONLY via a staircase between 38th and Newport. The gate to the yard is roughly 80 steps from the bottom or 50 from the top. Parking for a large vehicle is easier at the bottom, while the designated parking spot at the top is at the narrow cul-de-sac end of 38th, between two other residents’ cars, in front of a motorcycle.
The house itself is cute, and well appointed. Excellent choices of coffee and tea. Though, finding the right light switches to turn on lights in the entryway and living room is enigmatic. The second bed is downstairs and private with its own bathroom but is a convertible couch.
It was fun to have the neighborhood raccoons scamper across the downstairs porch.
