The Space:

As you venture away from the home to explore the greater area, grab a bite to eat at one of many delicious restaurants serving up everything from fresh local fare to international delights, all with a side of gorgeous coastal views. The charming city of Gualala is only a 5-minute drive north, where you can discover even more outdoor activities, shopping, and dining.
The home’s chic interior features clean lines and minimalist forms, its wood-lined walls and ceilings intentionally blending with its surrounding environment. Large picture windows illuminate open spaces in bright, natural light, offering sweeping views of the meadow leading up to the great Pacific. When you’re not taking advantage of outdoor dining, gather around the circular table with seating for 4, those incredible vistas providing the ultimate side dish.
This home comfortably sleeps 6 guests between 2 private bedrooms and a loft.
Bedroom #1 includes a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with an oversized single vanity and shower/tub combo.
Bedroom #2 includes a queen size bed.
The loft includes 2 twin size beds.
The home also includes an additional full guest bathroom with a single vanity and shower/tub combo.

The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3,000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, and three recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. The Sea Ranch facility reservations for pool and tennis are available on the Sea Ranch Association website, while trails and beaches are open.

Reset by the Sea
Sea Ranch is a gem of a location, and one my busy family of teens needed to reset from heavy school workloads. The booking was a perfect fit for the 5 of us and had a clean, mid-century modern vibe. We took advantage of the multitude of beaches and trails and eased into each day. Sea Ranch never disappoints.

Great location close to bluffs and Gualala
The house was clean, comfortable and great for a family of four, including two parents & two grown children. The house is simple by Sea Ranch standards, yet the details and furnishings are nice (this coming from us as architecture graduates). The kitchen was well stocked and we made meals at the property including breakfasts and dinners. Wi-fi worked well. The home could use a few more quilts or warm bedding (we could not find it). Great home. Close to walks.

Lovely Sea Ranch Home for a Getaway or Retreat
Visited in March and got lucky with sunny to partly sunny weather, with occasional rain showers. Home was as described / pictured. Excellent views from dining area and master BR, even though home is located a short walk from the coast and bluffs. Power went out once, but listing makes clear this is a possibility in this remote area. Internet speed is better than expected, if working remotely. Lots of breathtaking outdoor access and wildlife (deer, herons, hawks) since it's Sea Ranch. Very much appreciated the available firewood, but was disappointed that the wood-burning stove air vents seemed to not be functioning, making it hard to start and get a fire going. Mostly used the electric fireplaces for heat, which worked fine. Probably becomes only an aesthetic issue in summer/fall.

The home, as many built in the 60s or early 70s, requires maintenance. For instance, the original Moen kitchen faucet leaks and the Moen faucet in the primary bedroom required repair, which my husband addressed. For a unit that sleeps six people, it seems that there should be a minimum of (6) plates. There are bugs in the primary bathroom, including a spider in the upper corner of the shower that we named, “Henry.” The carpet is very dirty and stained in what was otherwise a very clean unit, except for the top of the backsplash in the kitchen. We also noted that the sliding door in the primary bedroom was not locked upon arrival. Otherwise, it is a lovely place.
