    Recreation Passes:
    Per The Sea Ranch Association rules, we provide 2 recreation passes per rental. Each pass can accommodate up to 6 people when fully completed. If you need additional passes beyond the 2 provided, day passes are available for $5 per person, per day at the pool kiosk or the Sea Ranch Association office.

    PLEASE NOTE: After your booking is confirmed, all guests are required to complete and sign the rental agreement before arrival. Additional information and instructions will be provided after booking.

    Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
    Quiet hours must be observed between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM every day.
    No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time, day or night.
    Maximum of 2 vehicles are permitted at the home and must be parked in the driveway. No RVs are permitted.

The views are so beautiful that just staying in the house is a treat. The kitchen is well appointed for whatever cooking you have in mind. And you can go for walks from the front door. Why go anywhere else?

The host was not particularly welcoming; there were opportunities for the host to be more proactive, i.e.., by letting us know when the property was ready by text or telephone number. We would also have appreciated the host letting us know whether our security deposit was refunded without having to inquire.

Magical Visit!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Forest House, and it was once again absolutely magical and near perfect. The home is spacious, filled with light and has everything needed for a cozy and comfortable stay. Beds are comfortable, linens are good, kitchen has absolutely everything you can think of to cook a meal, including basic supplies like olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. There are games and puzzles to fill rainy days, a hot tub right off the master bedroom, bluetooth speaker, television with netflix and disney+, yoga supplies, washer/dryer. I mostly enjoyed curling up with my book next to the window and reading the day away. If there was one suggestion, my kids wanted to watch TV/movies at night and although the sofa is pretty and fits the decor of the cabin, it's not terribly comfortable for lounging in front of a movie (I read in the info guide that it's imported from Europe in the 1950s). We can't wait to come back!

The home is cozy, incredibly peaceful nestled in the middle of a redwood forest. The owner's photography was exquisite and we loved the touch of having a photo guide so we could see where all the photos were taken and the backstory behind them. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, including basic spices, sugar, coffee filters, etc, there were plenty of bath towels and beach/hot tub towels, linens were nice and there were lots of spare blankets for cooler nights, nice soap in the bathrooms/showers, clean house shoes by the front door - literally everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We would love to stay here again!

It is a typical rental that sits vacant at times so yes there are a few cobwebs but nothing awful. Will definitely stay here again when we return. It barely has a peek-a-boo ocean view but that was fine with us, we were escaping the California valley heat and loved being at a higher elevation out of the sun and wind. Rental company was great!

The setting is exquisite, so peaceful. I will definitely return to The Forest House. It's now my number one choice! The owners have it furnished/supplied tastefully and completely. Well done! Props to the housekeeping staff for finding the garment bag I left behind on the wood pile in my haste to check out on time and to the staff for boxing it up and sending to me right away.

The living room is comfortable and the windows frame soothing green views. My partner took up residence in the window seat in a corner but there are a lot of calming restful spots in this house. The house was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped.

Super relaxing and peaceful place. Never heard a car the entire time in the house and hiked everyday from the front porch. We typically rent on the ocean in Sea Ranch but decided to try something new. Loved it and will be back!

There are handmade textiles throughout the house from other countries and large photographs from all over the world that just keep growing on you as you live with them. The kitchen is well stocked for someone that likes to cook. It’s so peaceful to be surrounded by redwoods and flowering rhododendrons. The hot tub was a bonus and Beach Rentals made sure that it was properly maintained.

A Forest experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We opted to stay in the forested area of Sea Ranch this trip instead of our typical coast rental. What an incredible experience! We loved the super quiet, green environment and the large house. As always the Beach Rentals staff are fantastic, so helpful and easy to work with on reservations. This house is a true gem in beautiful condition with its historic 1970's vibe furniture and amazing photos by the owner. We discovered that the Ridge trails above the airport are mostly flat and feel like a magic forest land all their own. This was an added bonus to the marvelous cliff trail on the ocean. We never saw another house, person or heard a car. Total relaxation.
