To hike to get a better look , you are short walk away from it and the scenic trails—once we parked, we didn’t feel the need to leave. "Before you book, this is an older cabin, so be aware and don’t judge it for being older. It’s cozy and comfortable. Of course it needs some fixing here and there, but what doesn’t? Mainly the bathroom, but it functions as it should. The air conditioning works very well!! The cabin is right on the water. "This quick birthday weekend getaway was perfect. The ambiance arriving was welcoming as music was playing. The lights were just right and the gorgeous view of Lookout Mountain was breathtaking. The host thought of everything we needed and what we might need. Location, location, location. Couldn’t be better?"

"Excellent stay and the house was the perfect size for us. Screen porch was wonderful and kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Only minus was the slipperiness of the shower floors (inside the tub). I am 76 and my balance isn’t great but I had to hold onto the grab bar all through my shower. Suggest providing a shower mat for people to use if they need it. We loved the house and location."

"Open design with elements of mid century and modern day mixed. I like older homes for their lived in feel. The furnishings in the bed rooms and the vintage paint by number paintings are my favorite. I’ll definitely stay there again. The deck on the back of the house provides a great view off the brow."
