"The cabin was very private and overlooked the lake. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Nice ground area to relax, explore and walk around. It was about a 5/6 minute drive into Stanley. "

"We stayed in the studio cottage. It is with good ambiance and very spacious unit with full stocked kitchen facilities. The sea view is excellent and all made our stay very pleasant. There was a recent ownership transition and check in was through a phone call. We booked another unit originally with welcome gift and that was changed and we only found out after checking in. The new owner called and apologised and promised some compensation but never heard again. There was no instruction on WiFi...

"We absolutely would recommend "The Lodge" as your base while visting Stanley.The lodge was beautifully decorated with a quirkiness which we loved.The sunroom with its big windows framed our water views.The viewing platform for seeing the penguins at dusk was just a quick 5 minute stroll from "The Lodge" and we were able to walk around most of the quaint town and explore all its eateries and shops."

"Uninterrupted views of the ocean. Loved the barrel fire pot on the veranda. Didn't need it, but just lovely to be out there. Great place for an extended family to hang out, beachcombing, fishing or just sitting with a wine and a good book. Its got it all, and all the things you need if the weather gets wild and woolly.....didn't happen in our case. "

Just be comfy with log fires, plush furniture and a fern forest garden with pure freshwater creeks with yabbies, wallabies and birdlife you'd seldom see. Claire - the host - will show you round and then chat or vanish as needed but it's her home, she built it, and knows heaps."
