Para relajarse y saborear la gastronomía siciliana
Una hacienda con mucha historia y personalidad, ideal para escapar del bullicio de la costa y disfrutar del parque de las Madonie. Su propietario está siempre accesible y dispuesto a recomendarte lo mejor de la zona. Dispone de una gran piscina con vistas a las montañas y de habitaciones muy amplias.

Afslapning i smukke omgivelser
Stedet er et smukt restaureret kloster, som ejerens familie har haft i mange generationer. Vi boede der i tre dage på vores rundtur på Sicilien. En skøn pause fra larmende byer. Maden var virkelig god og til en fair pris. Flot pool omgivet af oliventræer. Skal helt sikkert bo her, hvis vi kommer til Sicilien igen.

La struttura è suggestiva con una bella piscina ricorda i borghi dei tempi antichi , i proprietari molto accoglienti, buona colazione al mattino e buon ristorante, deve migliorare nelle pulizie delle stanze

L’établissement est une ferme typique de la Sicile . Très bien conservée. Très bel espace pour le petit déjeuner ( délicieux d’ailleurs ) et espace très joli pour manger dehors ( le repas était superbe )! Le personnel adorable

Posto affascinante e romantico, sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo. Il complesso è molto curato e pulito e possiede tutti i comfort. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Qualità del cibo eccezionale. Abbiamo dovuto aggiungere 15 € per una incomprensione tra il proprietario ed Expedia ma siamo stati lieti di farlo perché il trattamento è stato davvero super!

We did not stay at the Vecchio Frantoio; since it had a landslide. However the owner had another facility in the mountains, in the same region, that had a great view of the countryside and sea. EVERYTHING WORKED OUT WELL.

Beautifully situated in the mountains.
This hotel changed our impression of Sicily to include the beauty of the interior. We went for a hike after arriving, getting up to a lovely viewpoint above the hotel (the rocks), cooled off in the spectacular pool after, and had a delicious dinner, including vegetarian food.

Worst hotel experience ever.
This is unfortunately the most disappointed hotel visit that I have ever experienced. The room we received was badly infested by mold. The floor in the bathroom was wrongly constructed so the water from the shower was poring out in the bedroom. We made the manager aware of the problem but didn't get any compensation. Even though he confessed it was under refurbishment. In addition, the pool area hadn't been arranged for the season yet even though we visit the place in May. The internet in the reception was so poor it could not be used. The only positive thing was the beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful rustic hotel with lovely views
Loved this hotel and was sorry to leave. The staff are friendly and welcoming even though limited English and so genuinely wanting to please. The views are stunning and the pool area lovely. Would recommend and wished I could have stayed longer. You can buy homemade wine and olive oil too. We had dinner in the evening which was a set menu of traditional food. It was lovely and very good value

Accueil sympa et professionnel. Beau cadre mais isolé. A 30 mn de Cefalu. Beaucoup de routes autour coupées ce qui rend l'exploration de la région fastidieuse. Très bon diner sur place. En avant saison avant de pouvoir profiter de la superbe piscine, c'est un peu cher. Une bonne étape après PPalerme pour voir Cefalu et se reposer une journée.

Unforgettable dinner, stunning views
When we arrived, it was fun to witness the Sunday christening party with over 150 local guests at the restaurant. After the party was over, it was just two of us for the evening and the gentlemen set a table near the fireplace and served a perfect dinner for our 10th wedding anniversary. The wine, cheeses, olive oil, meats, vegetables were excellent so fresh and above all, ALL home-made. The 5 course dinner, including hot and cold appetizers, pastas, meat secondi and desert, was fantastic and easily plenty for 4 people. The hot breakfast (bacon and eggs cook to order), cakes and espresso were also wonderful. The room and bathroom were basic and rustic. The farm and the house are set in a beautiful olive grove and the Madonie mountain views were stunning. We enjoyed the views and the walk on the self-sufficient farm-farming pigs, chicken, sheep, olive trees and vegetables. What a lovely experience on the countryside!

Nice charming countryside stay
The place has a really rustic feel, complete with a fireplace in the dining area where we had dinner. The caponata and antipasta were great and portions were huge.

a piece of sicillian tradition and tranquillity
Our stay was really good, we arrived a day late and at a silly hour but the gentleman that was there to greet us was just happy that we had finally turned up. he was nothing but helpful. The evening meal hours were over but he still agreed to fix us some cold meats and cheeses as we hadn't eaten all day. The room was clean and comfortable and very spacious. The hotel is well equipped for families with children to stay. The views of the sicillian hills and country were amazing as was the food. being set in an olive grove, their olives and olive oil are all home made. some of the best we have ever tasted. Their home made wine is also very good. The meals that they serve are very traditional and consist of 5 courses, each course alone was enough to satisfy hunger but the food kept coming. Their was a wide variety of Italian style breakfast buffet each morning too. with freshly brewed coffee. overall our stay was highly enjoyable with the only downfall being that its quite difficult to find. GPS devices are quite useless in Italy, especially if you are bringing your own across continents.

Hotellet ligger meget isoleret, og der er dermed meget stille i området. Hotellet er rustikt og det er ikke til at se om de er ved at renovere, eller om det skal se sådan ud. Det er dog ganske charmerende. Ledelsen og medarbejderne er meget service orienterede og fleksible. Der er ikke det de ikke vil gøre for gæsterne. Forvent ikke megen luksus. Værelserne gode og rene, men ingen luksus. Maden er fantastisk og meget lokal. Men pas på, der serveres meget mad. Wi-fi fungerer ikke optimalt, så være klar på et ophold uden internet. Skønt

Superb food
You don't have a big choice at the restaurant but just go with the flow and you won't regret it. There is one long narrow road to arrive at the hotel. Just pray you won't meet a car coming in the opposite direction. The place being very old might lack some luxury but the poolside is then the best I've ever seen. Everything seems to be run by Tommy who offers an excellent personalized service.

Cette ancienne ferme est pleine de charme et dispose d'une très belle piscine avec vue sur la montagne. Lors de notre séjour avec une température de 30°C nous avons pu l'apprécier. L'accueil est chaleureux et la cuisine de très bon niveau ; le dîner (menu unique dans la pure tradition italienne) s'est avéré plus que copieux pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable. Nous conseillons l'utilisation d'un GPS pour localiser l'hôtel.

Idyllisches Gut mit top regionaler Küche
Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag und daneben die regionale Küche (fleischlastig!) und die liebenswerte Art der Leute zu schätzen weiß, dem gefällt ein Aufenthalt im Vecchio Frantoio garantiert. Der Madonie Nationalpark lädt zu tollen Wanderungen ein. Am hauseigenen Pool lässt es sich anschließend gut erfrischen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig (für 4 Personen gut geeignet) und einfach gehalten. Empfehlung!

Beautiful Italian Villa
My husband and I had a very relaxing stay at Il Vecchio Frantoio. The staff were friendly and the rooms very spacious. Lots of character in a beautiful mountain setting. And the food!!! Excellent Italian food that seemed endless! We enjoyed the variety and the cozy fireplace in the dining room. We will definitely return!

Allt fungerade som det skulle. Vi fick en välkomstdrink som vi avnjöt i klosterträdgården tillsammans med vår medhavda enkla lunch. Wifi något omständigt att upprätta men fungerade i de allmänna utrymmena. Utsikten från hotellet mot de omkringliggande bergen och dalarna var fantastisk. Läget är mycket isolerat men nära motorvägen mellan Enna och Palermo.

Na de ingang moet je nog ongeveer 800 meter omhoog. Op de binnenplaats kun je de auto kwijt. De receptie zit op een ontzettend leuke plek. Het is een hoge grote ruimte en aardig ingericht. De grote molenstenen passen er helemaal bij. De banken en stoelen zijn niet van de allerbeste kwaliteit. Je kunt er ook televisie kijken. Buiten kun je heerlijk aan tafeltjes eten en aan het zwembad liggen. Het eten is er heel goed.

Fantastisk mat
Mycket trevlig och personlig service. Maten är gudomlig. Hotellet ligger avsides men det är också poängen med denna typ av hotell. Här kan man lata sig vid poolen, göra trevliga utflykter och äta fantastiskt god mat. Egen hyrbil är att rekommendera.
