Schellsburg

"This property is even more attractive than it appears online! The kitchen and living areas are very spacious and well appointed. The entire home is spotlessly clean and welcoming. Thoughtful, unexpected amenities were a nice surprise, like cozy throws, many books, games, and magazines, and a bedroom "sound machine". We loved the many options for outdoor eating and seating, especially the porch swing and beautiful fire pit area. Our family enjoyed a picnic at Shawnee Lake, then a covered bridge...

"Cabin was wonderful - beautiful surroundings, quiet retreat, and tidy inside. The only challenge was that I booked on a Friday evening after the office closed, to stay Saturday and Sunday night of that same weekend. Luckily I reached a staff member by phone, when I arrived after dark on Saturday. Was able to get key and directions to the cabin, thankfully. Peaceful location."

"We didn't get to see any animals during our 9 day stay. A limb went through the roof and it rained and was damp and had a mildew smell so we were put in a nice cabin for the first night while they fixed it. The next day we moved into the cabin. It smelled nice. After 3 days the mildew smell came back. The cleaning crew failed to clean behind the sofa and nightstands but the rest was visually appealing. I think maybe due to the limb coming through the roof during a storm, it might be a good idea...

"Great place and beautiful property with mountains, woods and a river. A nice camping cabin but it is rather rustic. AC worked great as did the hot water for the whole family. Well appointed kitchen for preparing meals. Small fridge so bring a cooler. Had a major problem with yellowjackets but the owner responded quickly with a chemical treatment and adjusted the rate very fairly. All in all a nice family getaway. "

"The cabin was nice and cozy. Quiet area, sky full of stars! We felt safe and enjoyed hiking and local restaurants. There is no Stove or stovetop!! "Country Estates is well maintained inside and out., and the host responds in a timely manner whenever we had a question. The entire home is very clean with comfortable furniture, and pleasantly decorated with unique decor. All the rooms were clean and well equipped. It's far roomier than a hotel suite, where people can spread out and do their own activities in or outside. The room-appointed A/C and light-fans with remote controls were so nice to use, as each of us could enjoy our own temperature...
