Disappointing
The room which we were allocated was absolutely nothing like the photographs on the website which was very disappointing. The room was very small & the hangers were very dusty.

February 2020 Two night stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly, approachable and couldn’t do enough for us. Acted on our requests swiftly and without issue. Breakfast was good but would like a bit more choice of continental items. We stopped in superior rooms and they were excellent. Would definitely stay again. Good location. Free parking on site but limited spaces. Thank you To all staff for our lovely stay and making us feel welcome.

Clean hotel in good location with free parking. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast value for money. Will definitely be looking to stay here again should we return to Scarborough.

Homely but too far out.
confusing because we thought it was part of the travel lodge chain. but it is a private b&b.they have afew in Scarborough so we actually went to the wrong one.so that cost us 2 taxi fayres. It was on valley road and no buses went past the hotel. so was a bit too far out if you haven't got transport. The room was much smaller than the web site.and the shower we didn't attempt for the same reason. The breakfast was very good although i did ask for soya milk but non was available.

Just ok.....
The room was clean and comfortable but there was a lot of noise just from other guests moving around, thin walls and creaky floors! The menu in the "bistro" was in the process of being changed apparently, so was very limited; breakfast was good though. The bistro area itself was very bright and not really very comfortable, in my opinion. Wi-fi was non existent anywhere in the building. The staff were pleasant which stopped the stay being a let down. The hotel is well placed but just seems to be missing something.

Last minute trip to see family
Well it was clean but they didn't make the room up after first night tiny room weird shower car park is a joke I got blocked completely and was fobbed off by reception staff saying the car blocking me in the owner was out then he appeared at a bedroom window clearly telling lies he insulted my wife By sayingt I will watch you out It would have not matter who stood there is was blocked in rude unhelpfull will not be staying again look elsewhere there's better for same money.

Nice Hotel
An OK Hotel, dated in places. Photos need updating on sites, definitely out of date. The staff were very friendly and helpful, great bar and breakfast was lovely!

Lovely Staff
The staff were so lovely and helpful, so glad we stayed here. The room was decor was a bit dated and the shower cubicle could do to be replaced but the room was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic and it's served until 10am. The hotel offers an 11.30 checkout on a Sunday which was a nice thing to find out.

Quite a walk to centre and room was nothing like the picture you show we were in a separate building where the outside door key fit your room key which means all the rooms have the same key wouldn’t stay again

I can assure you however, that even though our rooms keys are generic with regards to opening the front door, none of the keys can open other bedroom doors, so I am sorry that you thought that all keys fitted all locks. pictures online are of recently refurbished rooms
Rooms shabby out dated furniture with plastic cubicle showers , a couple were being given a refund when we were checking in and the lady told me the room was dirty and smelt horrible. the pictures online look really nice, but we were told it was pictures from two rooms which have just been refurbished

The hotel room was small but practical. You could hear noise all around you from other guests, which meant I did not get much sleep.

Booked for a double room but got a rather small twin, had to squeeze my way around the second bed to get to the kettle. The bathroom was extremeley hot with no ventilation. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were a bit hard. The lighting in the room was rubbish, no good for putting makeup on.

If your looking for a decent clean hotel that’s perfectly adequate for the night with good parking on site and just a 10 min walk to the seafront book this hotel you won’t be dissapointed

Fab breakfast
One night visit. Great breakfast. Slightly disappointed with room. All a bit cramped, shower a squeeze. Hotel was not busy with it being Sunday to Monday. We have stayed before and the hotel has better rooms. Staff polite and helpful. Great location.

Lovely hotel
We had a great 4 nights staying at this hotel. It is in great location close enough to walk to town and the beach. The staff where all really lovely and very welcoming and always went the extra mile. The room was also decorated really nicely and had everything we needed. It is also well worth paying for the breakfast it is amazing !! We would defiantly stay here every time we go to Scarborough.

Nicely refurbished room
Good clean hotel with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Although our room had just been refurbished there were just a few things needed like a hook behind bathroom door, a shelf in wardrobe and would have liked a couple of drinking glasses for water during night. A glass for tooth brushes also. The shower was super but no where to put toiletries so had to bend to floor for these. Not a complaint as such just a comment. We enjoyed our stay.

Room clean and airy. Bed extremely comfortable and so I slept very well. Service very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. I would certainly stay again. Fantastic value for money.

Disappointing
Very disappointing. We thought we were booking at a Travelodge Hotel due to the similarity of the name. We arrived at the local Travelodge only to find that we were at completely the wrong hotel, and we then had to walk a long way uphill in the rain trying to find the right place. The member of staff on reception was polite and friendly, but after that everything went downhill. The bedroom door was stiff and difficult to open, and the bedroom was freezing. On a cold, wet day, this was not we were expecting. I had to turn the radiator on myself and even then it was lukewarm. The thin curtains barely met, and the bathroom was cold and basic. The towel was poor quality, threadbare and scratchy. The television was tiny and so high up on the wall that it was practically hanging from the ceiling.

Good clean friendly hotel close to town
This is our second time of staying here, there were 4 of us staying in 2 rooms (2 couples), we love it here. The rooms are quite small but come with en-suite and are clean and fresh, we asked for rooms together when booking and we got this. The breakfast set us up for the day 10/10 for that. Its great to be able to park on site and about a 15 min stroll to the beach and town. You can sometimes hear the other guests in there rooms but thats not the hotels fault as the walls were solid in our room its just other inconsiderate guests. At the end of the day if you want 5* pay for 5*. We love scarborough in march and will be back again to visit Scarborough travel and holiday lodge. Thank you for a great few days

My review
I planned a weekend in Scarborough for my daughter to do the sea life centre, museum and alpamare swimming baths, booked into the Scarborough travel and holiday lodge and was happy with what we got, clean comfortable room, friendly staff and a nice breakfast before we left... I have no complaints and would stay there again if I was going to stay over in Scarborough
