The positives, the bedrooms sleep very well, are very quiet at night and the palapa area above is enjoyable.
The negatives, the place is in need of maintenance and Amanda is not receptive to a call about issues. These issues included showerheads clogged and one ruptured, the shower drain and bathroom sink were clogged, igniters for the stove and oven do not work, the water dispener needs to be replaced (I mentioned that I watched a youtube and cleaned it best I could myself to the owners boyfriend due to us both becoming sick, he then acknowledged he was aware of this and had tried to unclog it by running a wire through it, that's sanitary! ) I had contacted Amanda the day of check in to locate the property and during that conversation she made it clear to contact Jorge if there was a problem, sort of in a tone of don't bother me. After having what I felt like were too many issues for a house at this price, I contacted Amanda directly on the 5th or 6th day because the house keepers had come but left us with no clean towels and no toilet paper and we were without both. She then proceeded to make it very clear that the washer was off limits and then said something about having our 2 golden retrievers there. Even though the place is listed as pet friendly and I had called her before booking to make sure there were no issues bringing them.
If you do come with your dog, be careful, the neighbor's dog is extremely aggressive and came after ours many times and bit one of them.
She also reminded me that I was in Mexico, I have been coming here for a few weeks a year for many years and have stayed at over a dozen places. She has only owned here for over a year and has a tone that you should be very grateful for allowing you the privilege to pay to stay at her house. Also, as another reviewer has mentioned, the pictures are not very accurate. The swimming pool is far smaller in person and does not get sunlight.
