Bachelor Party Bonanza

This house was everything we could have asked for and more. Me along with 11 of my guys celebrated a bachelor party in Sayulita, and each and every one of us knew that we had the best house in town. From the warm pool that was inviting at every hour of the day and night, to the clean, comfortable rooms and beds, the daily housekeeping (gracias Alicia) that seemed to make the mess from the night before vanish without you knowing they were even there, to the responsiveness of the house manager, Rigoberto, I could not recommend this house enough.It is located in the absolute heart of Sayulita, such that you can peer right into the main square from the beautiful terrace and Rooftop which also boasts views of the ocean. The best tacos, nightclubs, cafés, and restaurants, as well as Sayulita beach are all mere steps and minutes away.My only negative thing to say about the house is that the waterfall in the pool did not seem to be working, however, in full disclosure, I did not disclose this to the house manager during my stay and so never did give them a chance to address it, which I’m sure they would have. The only other negative is that the weekend flew by way too quickly. Also, make sure to bring your earplugs to get restful sleep as the square can get loud late into the night.If this house is within your price range, (it is pricey by Sayulita) book it without hesitation.

Beautiful home with perfect location and hospitality!

Our group had the best time in Sayulita and staying at this VRBO! The host was more than accommodating and helped us coordinate transportation, food, and groceries. The staff was so kind and took the best care of us. I would go back in a heartbeat! The walkability of the space is great, you can get anywhere without a car - but know that being in the heart of the city comes with a lot of noise. We used earplugs to sleep, and it was not a huge deal - worth it for the location in my opinion!

Sayluita Paradise

This was our third visit to Mi Otra Casa! Our favorite thing about the home is the location. It adjoins the town plaza area and is only a couple of blocks from the beach. The host was accommodating and friendly. All requests were met, and the house was kept tidy. We had a plumbing issue, but it was addressed and repaired. The only issue for some may be the music from the plaza late in the evenings, but it did not bother us. Sayulita is a hidden gem in Mexico. The food and people are all amazing.

a mixed review of a great property

everything was wonderful except one aspect. this is not a sleepy little coastal town in all locations. i was unprepared for all night music that resonated on the top floor. for some that may be your thing, but for me not so much. i little note to buyers at 3k a night might be helpful. once again, facilities and staff are great.

Perfect group getaway

Property was immaculate. Beautiful and spotless. The house managers went above and beyond to make our stay extremely comfortable. Our group was 12 adults and 6 children ages ranging from 6months to 80 years. And this property was accommodating for everyone. We had to keep an eye on the little ones around the stairs but otherwise the pool and multiple gathering spaces were perfect with an amazing ocean view. We had our host organize a family dinner at the house for our last night which was absolutely delicious, and then they surprised us the next morning as we were all packing up and made the leftovers into an amazing breakfast. Can’t recommend this place enough, we will be back!

Wonderful 40th Birthday

We had an absolutely amazing time here. The other reviews about noise are accurate, but for us it was the perfect venue. We were there to celebrate, stay up late and sleep in and this place is awesome for that. The views from the top deck bar are gorgeous, we had two incredible sunsets. The staff especially Rigoberto are incredibly helpful, friendly and really go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. We paid them to make us a simple Mexican style breakfast every morning and it was perfect. We would wake up, the place would be tidied up and breakfast was served at the hour of our choosing. The night time bar and party scene literally one block from the house is amazing and there is a rockstar taco place literally a block away. There's no need for a golf cart the hill is easy to climb, we never used our car. The walk to the beach takes 5 minutes. We will 100% be back! Thanks Rigoberto you are the best buddy!!!

Thanksgiving Family Get-Away. Great for families or large groups

Absolutely incredible property. Hosts, Alicia, Rigo and Avi are the most hospitable and welcoming people. Alicia greeted us every day with an amazing breakfast and a big smile - made each and every day of our stay very special. Each room is a suite with a private bathroom with plenty of room for the entire family unit - very convenient. Sauylita is a great town, and the house is very conveniently located walking distance to restaurants, beach, shops. The town parties till 4AM and DJ/music is very loud and can be heard throughout the house. Pack ear plugs or noise canceling earphones. It is not a joke, come prepared.

50th birthday celebration

When we walked into this house, we couldn’t get over the beauty of the decor, landscape, color scheme, it was perfect! Hardest part was deciding who got what room. We settled in after a long day of travel and hopped in the pool. The staff, Rigo, Irma, Alicia and Abby(Kayla) were absolutely wonderful. They were so attentive and kind, they even made me a birthday cake which was the most delish cake ever! Fresh guac and chips from the tree out back and margaritas to start the eve was a perfect touch.! You are able to hire them to cook for you or Edgar the property manager will send recommendations for chef in town, we didn’t use though. This house is right in town so our group and our teens could walk everywhere even the discoteca that closed at 4am- it is REALLY loud, every night so bring ear plugs!! And a sleep mask. There are many shops, pharmacy’s, bars and vendors. Very short walk to the beach where you get $30 massage- we loved it. We were a group of 9 because some didn’t come. We had soooo much room and many private areas to hang and rest or read. Nobody stayed in the really beautiful top bedroom because there isn’t Aircon in that room, it was hot and humid while we were there Besides all of us getting sick tummies while we were there ( from who knows what), we had the best time, and would def stay in this house again, it is beyond gorgeous. Thank you Mi Otro Casa!! You made 50 feel so fabulous ❤️

Premier Experience!

A true gem next to the heart of Sayulita. Be ready for a gorgeous, well appointed and uniquely styled retreat. The concierge and service is parallel to a luxury experience. The house is cleaned spotless every day, anything you need can be sorted, and you are steps away from the action of the plaza. It will be loud at night, but if you’re choosing to stay here you’ll blend right in to the fiesta. Tranquilo at day, lively all night. The embroidered towels are the softest I’ve experienced at a lodging. Enjoy!

Incredible weekend at MOC

I can't say enough great things about our stay at this house! The pictures do not even do it justice. It is so incredible. I wish we could've stayed longer, but we really made the most of it with our time there. The views from the top floors are stunning. The pool was divine. The rooms were luxurious and the security and staff exceeded expectations. It is loud at night, but that's what you sign up for if you want to stay in such a central location in Sayulita. Everything was steps away, which made it super easy for our group to get around. If you want a quieter place, definitely stay up in the hills, but you will be missing out on MOC :) Thank you Edgar and Rigo for being so helpful throughout the weekend! Communication was fast and reliable. They really took care of us.

Amazing property for our 40th birthday week with friends!

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Sayulita! Mi Otra Casa was amazing! We loved having Guillerma and Alicia who were at the house every morning to make coffee and homemade guacamole in the evenings! They were fantastic! Rigoberto was super helpful at check in and check out as well. We had 6 couples and had plenty of room. We were walking distance to everything! The beach as well as all the restaurants and bars were super close...maybe a little too close. Lol. We heard the music from the bars until 3am most nights. I would definitely recommend ear plugs. I would highly recommend Mi Otra Casa to anyone with a large group. I would love to bring my family back sometime soon!

Amazing home and great location

Overall we really enjoyed our trip. The home was spectacular and the property manager is extremely responsive. Plenty of bedrooms and space for group activities. Pool was perfect! The location was also extremely convenient. The home is very close to the nightlife, which makes the home very fun, but also noisy at night. They provide earplugs if needed, which is nice. My only complaint is that some of the items in the home are worn out. All the chairs on the rooftop patio are sun damaged and partly ripped. Two of them ripped completely when we sat in them and the property manager charged us $290 USD for the chairs. It's frustrating to have to pay for items that break due to poor management and upkeep.

Its location is its best and worst quality.

First, let me say, we are extremely happy with the experience and the quality of the unit. It is enormous and very accommodating for our 10 member family. It is within a short walking distance to literally everything relevant. The views are incredible from the balconies of which there are two. Yes, two! The kids had fun in the pool. The housekeepers kept the place looking immaculate while we were there. Edgar and his team were immensely helpful on helping us get transportation to and from PVR to Sayulita as well as stocking the fridge and helping us with activities. We had an wonderful catered dinner in site. It’s shortcomings are extremely limited but real. First, it is unavoidable and the owner is very forthcoming that the nightlife of Sayulita is very close. Hence the ambient noise from the downtown lasts until about 4AM. Second, the owner has designed a very weird electrical system which the occupants have no access to. This often rendered the common areas without lighting in the early evening hours. I think this is something they can address but it was a recurrent problem. In addition, it is listed as having AC which is true but not for all the bedrooms. This is by design in one, but in two of the bedrooms that had an AC unit, they did not work. It took us a few calls to get the maintenance people to look at the AC units but unfortunately they could not correct the problem while we were there. Lastly, the Wifi is spotty with certain rooms having little to no signal. Also it’s bandwidth is quite limited. Again these limitations had little impact on how awesome this place was overall !!! As a side note: bring lots of cash. Big fees at ATMs and virtually no one takes CCs.

Vacation from vacation!

Awesome experience staying at MOC! Edgar was helpful and quick when messaged. Rigo did a great job addressing anything we needed throughout the week. The cleaning staff did a great job keeping the house looking beautiful. The location is amazing, keep in mind it is next to the square so it is busy and loud most nights, in to the early mornings so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs...overall the noise isn’t that bad. The Palapa room would be the loudest room as the roof is... a Palapa :) Lots of space in all the beautiful rooms! Make sure to buy some pool floaties to enjoy the pool a little more. We really appreciated the front gate having a code to get in and out, good for security and the surveillance cameras in the main areas helped you feel secure. Can’t wait to come back and stay at Mi Otra Casa!!!

Perfect house for Sayulita

Rented this house for an extended weekend with 14 people. It could not have been more perfect of a spot. The house is awesome and in a prime location for access to Sayulita - just a block off the main plaza, but on a street that gets minimal walking/driving traffic, so it feels private and is very secure. The pool is a great hangout area, while the top floor gives you great views of the town, mountains, and ocean. Jose (property manager) is extremely helpful and responsive. He helped organize boat trips; private chef at the house; and daily maid service. Our entire group left thinking we scored one of the best houses in Sayulita! Thank you Jose for a great stay!
