A week on the beach
Perfect location, beautiful beach, excellent food nearby at the club and super-helpful staff. The house isn't new or shiny, if that's what you're looking for, but it worked well for us. We had a great week and can't wait to go again. Thank you to everyone there!

Communication was prompt prior to visit as well as during and post visit. We were there 10 days, and the caretakers were kind and accommodating. e have stayed on Windermere several times, and love the solitude. This home makes it easy to relax and enjoy a quiet stay.

The grandsons had a great time on the beach, on west beach with kayaks and paddle boards, and on a few excursions (Ten Bay, Ocean Hole, boiling hole and cathedral cave, and pizza night at La Bougainvillea) Big kids had a great time too! We absolutely loved the Provender house! The view was gorgeous. We were very pleased with the home overall. The staff were amazing. We would definitely go back. The only negative is that it's quite a drive away from most excursions or toursity stuff. The house decor was good. The kitchen lacked some good sharp knives and we could have used a few more outside beach lounge chairs for the beach so everyone in our party had one to sit on. This would not stop us for returning but sure would be nice! We LOVED this place! Thanks for the great hospitality!

This house has the most amazing views, but you cannot expect five star accommodations & amenities. The house has a great location & sweeping ocean views, but the actual lodging itself needs major repairs & renovations. The house was very clean when we arrived & Checkin was easy. The two front bedrooms on either side of the house have great views, but the air conditioners struggle to keep the rooms cool at night because the drafty outside doors and windows suck in too much hot air for the small bedroom units to cool the rooms off at night, so sleeping is sticky. The mattresses and pillows need replaced along w the bed sheets, ours had holes in them. The bathrooms & living/dining room spaces were nice & cool with enough furniture for 8 people. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, but the crack under the kitchen door allowed critters to come in during the night. We found land crabs in the kitchen sink & big spiders on the counters in the morning. There is a wood covering on a front bedroom door that leads to the outside....a palmetto rat-that has nested in the roof/rafters came into the house one evening-yikes! Outdoors the house has an expansive beach, but the beach chairs all need replaced. They are old & broken & pinch your skin when you try to use them. The bikes are a nice option for exploring, but they all either have flat tires & broken seats, riding them is very difficult. The kayaks & paddle boards were very nice. The clubhouse pool was a swamp-couldn’t swim. The management team was easy to work with & the grounds keeper & his wife are amazing people.Overall, this property needs serious repairs & attention. For the money you spend on this rental, everything should be better than 4 stars, which it isn’t. If you are fussy-which honestly we are not super fussy-you should not stay here until some renovations are scheduled. The view & people make this an ok rental, but the house itself needs lots of work done to bring it up to a th

Our family stayed a week and enjoyed the number of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group. The stay was enhanced by having the support of staff who could move paddle boards and kayaks so we could use them elsewhere on the island. We also enjoyed having access to The Club to widen our choice of fun!

Beautiful Views
The views from the house are amazing. The house is very nice and well equipped with everything we needed. The grocery stores and restaurants are pretty far away so we chose to have a cook do meals twice a day. I would definitely recommend this. We used Kaynell
and Pebbles from A Taste of Di Island and they were fantastic.

I have been staying on Windermere island for 50+ years and it never disappoints. Provender was the perfect beach house for the 8 of us. Bobbett was there every day to check on us and see if there was anything that we needed. The maid service was perfect as well. We plan to be back soon.

Wonderful stay in Eleuthera!
We had a wonderful week at Provender. The house sits right on the beach. A beautiful place to stay, or explore the island. Sun, swimming in the ocean, relaxing on the deck. Beds are very comfortable. Communication was excellent with homeowners. We had a few issues with the AC in one of the bedrooms and some of the other amenities didn't quite work, but that couldn't dampen our stay in a beautiful place. Overall, a terrific week in paradise!

Paradise
My family stayed here for several days and had a magnificent time. The view and beach are unparalleled. The rooms each have their own bathroom so you have privacy and the communal space. The property manager helped us get a cook for one night and we enjoyed the club and other restaurants other nights. We enjoyed the beach for hours including the paddle boards. We also got out to some other sites for snorkeling where the coral life was truly pristine. A simple but lovely life. Highly recommend.

Lovely Location Needs TLC
We had a lovely stay. With that, we arrived to a humid, hot, wet house and an AC repair van. Our first night, we experienced AC issues that lasted throughout the stay. One bedroom and the living room blew hot air the entire seven night stay, even after I mentioned it to the property manager. The repair technician never came back. One bathroom had a tub that didn't drain. That, thankfully, was fixed. The lamp on my bedside table was missing it's lampshade. The towels were ripped, frayed, had bleach stains, and were old and rough. The bed linens were old and scratchy. We ran out of water twice and when it was fixed the second time, the water was orange. My daughter had a tarantula and crabs in her bedroom throughout the stay. Grout missing on countertop and ants in kitchen everyday. The curtains in our bedroom were stained as was the dressing table top. We've been traveling to this island for decades. Never have I stayed in a home in such need of care. And, we were told days before our arrival that the pool was closed for repairs. All of that aside, we had a fun vacation snorkeling, fishing, splashing in the waves, and exploring. We asked for a partial refund and were ignored. This is a lovely island with lovey homes and lovely people and this home has a history and reputation that demands quality. My hope is that the owner fixes the issues for future renters.

Nightmare! Don’t waste your money!
We rented this property before Covid happened and when it did the owners wouldn’t give us our money back so we waited over a year and a half to stay there.
The house was a nightmare. We arrived to only half the house with working air conditioning. Called immediately and was told they would send someone out and never did. We had to cram 10 people into two bedrooms for the remainder of the trip.
The electricity went out half way through the trip. Since the generator was down and had been for weeks they told us we were out of luck. With no electricity that means no air conditioning and no water!
You can’t open doors and windows because of bugs and got so hot in the house one of our kids got sick. After 30 hours without electricity, air and water, we left and took early flights home.
It was very disappointing waiting so long for a trip to have hosts that don’t care that you are staying there in those conditions.
The island is beautiful and recommend going but please do NOT stay at this house!

Provender is a perfect place to spend a vacation on a private island off Eleuthera. It has everything you need to unwind and relax. The house is spacious, clean, well laid out, perfectly located with views of the beach and Atlantic. Beach access is steps away. There are two patios, one in the back of the house and one facing east to the Atlantic. Perfect for early morning sunrises and even better for late night patio sitting and star gazing. Thank you to Bobbett, the housekeeper, and William, the property manager. They are reason enough to return to Provender. Thank you to Eleuthera Vacation Rentals for helping manage our trip through a length delay due to Covid.

Beautiful house with a great layout. Our only true complaint was no ice maker and only 6 ice trays in a 5 bedroom house fully occupied. The Atlantic Ocean was gorgeous and the pink sand like powder!

We had a wonderful time @ Provender. It is the perfect get away during the COVID crisis, complete utter isolation. We were spoiled by our caretaker Bobbett and her cooking. Real Bahamian style. The water temperatures are unbelievable and the beaches as described...best in the world. We had a few issues with the AC and internet was not available in all the rooms but we were accommodated with a range extender and that appeased the kids! We were contacted by the owner after we experienced and AC issue which I thought shows the dedication by the management team, they actually care. Would definitely pick this spot again once we visited all the other islands :)

We had a wonderful stay at Provender! It's the perfect layout for 4 couples - everyone had their own bathroom attached to their bedroom. We had a few minor maintenance issues which Bobbett and William addressed immediately. Bobbett also cooked several meals for us which were delicious and very relaxing. Mahalia kept the house very clean. As other reviewers have stated, the house could use new beach chairs. We hope to go back!

Great place for R&R, quality family time and beautiful beaches

This was very different from family vacations in the past but just as enjoyable. Our family is used to taking highly adventurous vacations and while this island doesn’t really offer too much of that, we really enjoyed the change of pace and each other’s company.
