BUYER BEWARE! It was 36 degrees outside and we weren't getting any heat in a pretty small space 380 sq ft. Got through the night and reached out to host first thing in the morning - they offered a space heater. We declined as I am not comfortable with them due to a previous incident with a family member. Offered a blanket. That wasn't going to help. Was never offered help troubleshooting assistance or to have a member of what they later referred to as the Maintenance TEAM come out to help us. Just started quoting policy and procedure, then after we vacated asked for proof we didn't have heat. What the heck. We are mature 60 year old adults and were treated pretty poorly. Ruined Thanksgiving vacation since we had to vacate and drive six hours back home. I'm sure they'll have some clever response to this and the place was quite lovely otherwise - clean and just perfect for what we needed, but it was COLD. A little compassion and assistance could have possibly solved this since they said it was working fine when they sent a member of the team AFTER we left and then basically accused us of being dishonest about it. We directly messaged them as soon as we vacated, but could not modify or cancel the booking with vrbo. Host then told us since we didn’t cancel, they wouldn’t refund anything. Had to fight with vrbo about all this since the Host fell silent.
