Summary:
Three floors, three bedrooms and two and a half baths in a renovated historic duplex, a short walk from Forsyth Park. The home sleeps six: two queen bedrooms on the second floor and a king suite with its own bathroom and balcony on the third.
Two off-street parking spots and a Level 2 EV charger come with the home, which is hard to find in downtown Savannah. A full kitchen, a dining table for six, a washer and dryer, wifi and a 65-inch smart TV are all inside your unit.
Good to know before you book: every bedroom is upstairs, and the home is not suited to pets, parties or events.
The Space:
First floor: an open living room with a sectional sofa and a 65-inch smart TV, a full kitchen with a dining table for six, a half bath, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The living room fireplace is decorative only. It is capped and no fire can be made in it.
Second floor, 17 steps up: two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Third floor, 15 more steps: the king suite, with a private bathroom, a balcony overlooking the backyard and a ceiling projector for movie nights.
Every bed has a 14-inch memory foam mattress, a choice of soft and firm pillows, and a sound machine for light sleepers.
For families, a travel crib, a high chair, children's books and toys, and board games stay at the home, so you can pack lighter.
Parking is two off-street spots on the driveway to the right of the building, best for compact cars, with a Level 2 EV charger beside them. Street parking in front is free.
Outside, the backyard and patio have seating and are shared with the other homes on the property.
Savannah short-term vacation rental certificate SVR-03101.
Guest Access:
Apartment A is entirely yours. You come in through the building's front door and a short shared hallway, and your door is on the right. The backyard, the patio and the side entrances are shared.
The building also has two other vacation rentals and a long-term resident, so we ask everyone to keep noise down between 8 PM and 8 AM, in line with the city ordinance.
The Neighborhood:
This is a special part of Savannah. The neighborhood is about half residents and half visitors, so it feels lived in, and neighbors say hello. Forsyth Park is a few blocks away. Coffee shops, restaurants, bars and shopping are within walking distance, and a Kroger grocery store is two blocks from the door. You are in the middle of it all, but away from the late-night noise.
Getting Around:
You can walk to most of the downtown, historic and Starland districts. When you would rather ride, the free shuttle picks up at Forsyth Park and runs through the historic district, the Downtowner app offers rides, and Uber is easy to find and inexpensive anywhere downtown.
Other Things to Note:
This is a three-level home with no bedrooms on the first floor. Please be comfortable with stairs before you book.
Please park without blocking the sidewalk to avoid a city fine. Street parking is first come, first served, and street sweeping signs show the days to park on the opposite side.
We treat for insects every quarter, but this is coastal Georgia and you may still see a palmetto bug or a wasp. Keeping doors and windows shut and food in the kitchen and dining room helps.
We ask that the home, the other guests and our neighbors are treated with respect, so everyone has a good stay in Savannah.
Interaction with Guests:
We live close by and are available day and night by message or phone.
Check-in is self-service from 4 PM. Your door code arrives by 3 PM on arrival day, and the check-in guide walks you through each lock with photos.
