The apartment was great. It had everything we needed for a 3 week stay. The kitchen was well appointed and made cooking a breeze. The building is old (Historic) and has some quirks, so I didn't give it a 5 star, but it was lovely and very very comfortable. At first, the neighborhood seemed less than ideal (being close to some housing projects) but we had no issues and felt very safe (the area was very well lit for dog walking). We loved how close we were to all the restaurants, river front and parks. Parking was easy and there was always a spot open in front or on the side of the house. It was a great home away from home for my husband, myself and our dog. We enjoyed our time in Savannah very much. Also, the management company was quick to respond to any questions we had (7 days a week).

Bullet hole in bedroom window

I feel bad writing this review because management did apologize and fully refund us, but renters, especially with kids, need to know this is not a good location. Our familiarity with Savannah was exactly zero when we booked so there was no way for us to have known that.Toward the end of our 6 hr drive to Savannah (me, husband, two young kids) I received a call from Lucky Savannah letting me know there was a "small pinhole" in the window that had been boarded up while they sought a vendor to fix it. Like it was random, no big deal, won't affect our stay. When we arrived, it could not have been more obvious that it was a fresh bullet hole. This was in the front bedroom. Additionally, there was damage to the wall across from the window, where the bullet struck, that had been freshly repaired.I immediately called Lucky Savannah back, who initially denied that's what it was until I told the woman that we are a law enforcement family and it is quite obvious that is exactly what it was. She transferred me to a supervisor who apologized right away and fully refunded and canceled our stay.My one complaint with Lucky Savannah is for trying to hide something rather alarming and then for gaslighting and denying what my eyes were seeing. I do appreciate the supervisor's quick understanding that we were not comfortable and for apologizing for it not being up to their standards. Steer clear of this listing and general area.

Great place and location

We had a great time and the home was stocked with the necessary items! Inexpensive Uber ride to downtown and very easy on street parking. Would definitely return!

Had a quick trip to town for a wedding and brought our 2 kids along. We were walking distance to Forsyth park snd it was nice to be so close to everything.

Great stay in Savannah

The place was as shown in the pictures. There isn't much to do around by walking, but you are a short drive from the river front. Overall, a good place to stay.

True to the listing!

We had a great experience at Montgomery House Lower! It was very clean and well maintained, all of the furniture was comfortable, and the location was super convenient for the activities we had planned in the historic district. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking to visit Savannah!

A lovely place--it was GREAT!

The beds were excellent as was the shower. TV was good and the VCR was appreciated. The only problem my sister and I had was we couldn't find how to turn on the undercabinet lighting or the fan/lighting over the kitchen table. I think a couple of lightbulbs were burned out elsewhere. Everything you promise would be provided was there as promised. Thank you for a lovely visit to your lovely city!
