Location was perfect and the unit was beautiful with character! I only gave it 4 stars because I feel like it could be a little bit better maintained and I think the owner should add a dehumidifier to help with the mustiness

Great place to stay

Wonderful place in historic Savannah. Walking distance to Forsyth Park. Loved having the dedicated parking out back, along with the cute little courtyard in the backyard.

Great location

The property's location was fantastic. Seconds away from great parks, minutes to great restaurants, and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the waterfront. The staff were excellent and replied immediately to any of our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

A great location and easy access to the riverfront by walking or the free DOT shuttle. Management quickly solved a little issue we had. And the bed is comfy.

Changing Dates for the Vacation

Although we were initially scheduled to visit Savannah earlier this fall, inclimate weather made that impossible. The competent staff at Lucky Savannah was able to move our stay to December at no additional cost. This in turn allowed us to enjoy a memorable getaway.

The location is easy to get to from the airport with safe and convenient parking while at the same time walkable to every restaurant and historic downtown tour. Not only in terms of the time to walk (no more than 22 minutes to the river) but absolutely beautiful streets and squares along the way. An easy 25 minute drive to Tybee Island and a 4 minute drive to a grocery store and a leisurely drive and walk in Bonaventure Cemetery - these were the only times we used the car all week. Inside the property was cool and clean with plenty of room for the 3 of us.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Convenient to the Historic District & downtown and private parking is a plus. However, maintenance is a bit lacking. The clothes dryer didn't heat up, the gardens at the rear are a jungle, and the internet access wasn't working when we checked in (it got fixed later). Interior lighting is dark - no good place if you like to read at night. But the decor is authentic early 20th century and several pieces are antiques, yet the kitchen, bath, bed etc are up to date. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was nice, we enjoyed the city and surrounding area. The antuque furniture was charming, however, the floors in the apt. we're dirty, and the couch and bed mattress need to be replaced, they are uncomfortable.

Beautiful property!

The personal touches were very nice and "homey". Had a few small issues like not being able to use the front door due to no key! Also had a musty odor, and on the last night of our stay it poured and water came in under the wall due to the gutters above being clogged!! I assume the "musty" smell was due to previous water damage.

Furnishing are comfortable and clean. Only issue is the lack of light. Other than the bedroom, there is no sunlight to speak of, and the lamps, though many, are dim. Lighter lamp shades and brighter bulbs in the main living area would be welcome.

Quick Memorial Day stay

Overall the property was great. It’s an older building so imperfections are to be expected but it was well kept and the location was with in walking distance to all the tourist spots but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Our only issues were with parking. There was another car in the parking spot labeled for our apartment. I called the management company and was instructed to park in the next spot over but I was fearful the whole weekend we would be towed. Everything ended up fine but it was still just a bit of added stress. Also, one day we had heavy rainfall and there was some very minor flooding.
