Overall we had a nice stay. The rental has a fantastic location just steps away from Forsyth Park and a quick walk to the Historic District. We always felt safe. Parking was also easy to come by. A couple things could be improved - the couch / living area has a musky smell probably from humidity damage that was so bad we avoided the living area. There is not much natural light and the communal fountain area behind the rental is blocked off to guests. It’s an old building but that’s part of the charm of staying in Savannah.

The location was perfect! An absolutely beautiful and quiet neighborhood but walkable to everything you could want. The apartment was clean and well kept and had everything we needed for our stay.

Beautiful, exactly as described. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, kid friendly. Conveniently located. Near Forsyth Park. Plenty to see within walking distance. Also trolley stop #6 only 2 short blocks away. No complaints at all and would stay here again.

Came for a dance competition, stayed for a great time!

We've been coming to Savannah for an annual dance competition for several years now. We've never stayed in the same place twice. Our stay this year was lovely from the lodging itself to the location. Getting to the Convention Center was a breeze every day as was getting to River street and any number of fabulous restaurants. We even walked to brunch at the Collins Quarter one morning. Quaint little shops were also a short walk away. As for the apartment itself, the inside of the ground floor apartment was just stunning. Everything was so clean and welcoming. The flowered chandeliers in the master bedroom were gorgeous! I was a little anxious about the lack of a ceiling fan in the master (because I'm addicted to air movement) but honestly, I didn't even notice its absence. If my daughter wasn't graduating (meaning no more dance competitions) we would definitely consider a repeat stay at Balcony on Monterey! My only suggestion for the owner would be to put a nightstand on the other side of the master bed. My husband had nowhere to put his water and phone at night except on the floor. Other than that, the entire apartment is well-appointed with everything you could need for your stay. Although parking directly in front is metered, we never had trouble finding non-metered parking in the next block up. Don't let the metered parking scare you away. I promise you will not have any trouble parking for free. Fantastic rental experience!

Lovely and beautiful historic apartment. So well-located, we were able to enjoy the Saturday morning farmer’s market and nearby historic houses. Really loved our stay in Savannah here. The balcony was great to sit outside too!

The primary shower left a lot to be desired with rusted wire racks and old shower heads that didn't seem to work well and dirty wall tiles and grout with what looked like black spots on the sides that we didn't assess further. Also, we could not get the door to stay closed while taking a shower or using the toilet. Please stop just adding water to a soap dispenser to fill it up lol None of blinds in the primary are able to open making it seem more closed off instead of airy and open. We wish we could have seen the water feature outside behind the bed. On the other hand, nowhere had curtains to help keep the sun out. Half the kitchen lights did not work. The sofa reeked of some sort of bodily fluid that made our daughter almost want to add to it. The front porch was an amazing to sit for coffee in the morning. It was a nice gesture to have coffee pods provided as well. The host was very accommodating and responded to messages and texts within minutes. Also, parking in front was free from 5pm Friday through Sunday even though it was told to us wrong. The place was just ok, but the location is what made it nice with only a 2 minute walk to Forsyth.

STILL THE BEST

This is my third stay at this property, and it remains charming. Has that classic old feel with the advantage of plentiful amenities. It is close to everything - Clarys for breakfast, Forsythe Park, easy walk to Bull Street all the way to the river. I love Savannah and it is important to me to be in a property and location that promotes that. With the exception of very loud music one night, it was again another perfect stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Girls trip to Savannah

Property features and overall house were absolutely beautiful! Easy walking distance to all the fun Savannah sights and excellent restaurants. Main issue with home was cleanliness. Living room furniture was covered in pet hair and smelled like a wet dog. Pillows and sheets needed cleaned more thoroughly.

Nice but…

Very difficult to find parking. Could be cleaner. WiFi didn’t work at all. (I understand about the hurricane circumstances) but we should have been compensated for the fact that WiFi was not available. Host was very nice and responsive.

Overall the property and location were great. But, a problem with the sofa in the living - the smell of dog urine was strong, so we couldn't use the living room. The owners said the sofa had recently beencleaned. cleaned

Amazing location
