The host was great and the setting is beautiful. Only less than perfect thing for us were some extremely steep stairs to the entrance, which were tough on the old ones, though probably fine for anyone under 70.

We decided to book this lovely home to hold our elopement ceremony with a few close friends. The deck overlooks some beautiful hills that you can see the fog roll through in the mornings. It was perfect for 7 people to chat and cook and eat together, while simultaneously offering rooms far enough away from each other to give the occupants privacy if needed.Aside from the view, the kitchen and decor are probably the next best things. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil, pot, pan, bowl, etc. that you would think to need, and the fridge and freezer were spacious. The fridge had a water dispenser and ice maker as well. As for the decor, this was not a cookie cutter VRBO but a cozy home filled with all sorts of unique art, Beatles paraphernalia, Godzilla statues and more. It’s got a lot personality.Greg was super responsive during our stay and there were detailed notes throughout about little quirks of the house to help you familiarize yourself with the space. The home was clean, the beds super comfy, and, though cell signal was difficult to get, the WiFi worked wonderfully. The stairs down to the home from the street were navigable for us 30-somethings with bad knees. There’s also a handrail if you’re worried about it. We were able to carry ice chests and luggage down it with only a minimal amount of huffing and puffing.Overall, we would highly recommend and are so happy we chose this home for our elopement! Many thanks to Greg and Deb!!

The house was perfect for our group and the location is incredible! Highlights for us were: the deck, the well-equipped kitchen, the house layout with bedrooms nicely spaced for privacy, the Beatles paraphernalia, and especially the location. The views are gorgeous and it's just a very short walk to the ocean lookout, where we watched every sunset and also did some star-gazing. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful Location

The location is absolutely unbeatable — just minutes from Muir Beach with breathtaking views overlooking the ocean. The house is tucked away in a peaceful, scenic spot with access to amazing hiking trails right out the door. We loved being so close to Muir Woods National Monument, which made exploring the redwoods incredibly convenient. A perfect getaway for nature lovers looking to relax and reconnect. Highly recommend!

Muir Woods Visit

This was a beautiful home with the exact accommodations our family needed for our trip. The kitchen is magnificent. Everything we needed for our stay was there. I wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed a glass of wine admiring the scenic view from the patio.

Wonderful house, amazing location

This house is really cool. If I was the owner, I would have been clearer in the description about the access (17 steep stairs from the sidewalk level down to the front door), just because some members of my party were older, but when I asked the owner for details he was very responsive. The view out the floor to ceiling windows in the living room is otherworldly. Breathtaking view of the mountains to the north. Easy to forget we were staying just a short drive from town, the beach parking lot, etc. Super-close to a couple trails/outlooks. And the rooms were nice.

Amazing location and views!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Muir Beach home. It was a 70th birthday party and family reunion. The house was big enough so we were able to spread out but also enjoy the amenities (eg the big kitchen, dining room and living room). It’s an easy walk up to the Muir Beach overlook and nearby hiking at Muir Beach. There were three big bedrooms and a smaller bedroom with a twin and loft bed which would have been perfect for a kid or teen. As the youngest older adults, we made it work and it was actually pretty cozy. The views of the hills and local birds in the bird feeder were stunning. Would definitely recommend!

Family Wedding Trip

We came into town for a wedding and stayed at this amazing property. It was perfect for our family of six adults. We grilled burgers & dogs, ate breakfast at the house every day. Kitchen is beautiful and totally stocked. We visited Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, hiked the Owl Trail which is just steps from the house. The views from Owl Trail & Muir Beach Overlook are amazing. Also had a couple great lunches in Mill Valley & Sausalito. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Outstanding in every respect

As our grandson said, this house is different from the vacation places we usually stay because it looks like someone actually lives here. We enjoyed the eclectic charm everywhere we looked. The location was terrific to get to the outdoors places we wanted to visit and the views were stunning (especially one sunrise). Greg was an attentive host, including offering an onion when we discovered we didn’t have one. It’s a perfect for a three-generation family like ours.
