"I absolutely loved this house for our little weekend get away. At first the parking was a little unlcear since its just an empty lot, but we got clarification from the property manager parking is right beside the house. Which is great since alot of places i looked at had street parking. Its super close everything, I'm sure it's walkable but we drove everywhere. "Perfect spot for exploring PGH. Clean & uncluttered small home, quiet & comfortable, on-street parking, easy drive to all parts of city. Fantastic bike trail along the river is 10 min drive. Highly recommend Eastern European restaurant Apteka, w/excellent natural wines, and Gordo’s on Mt Washington (roasted baby carrot tacos on fresh corn tortillas, hibiscus lime sparkler). "

"Wow! This was my first time renting through VRBO and what a great experience. The owner was VERY responsive, ensured we had everything we needed, and the place was beautiful and CLEAN! The space was plentiful - bedrooms huge and beautifully decorated. Appliances were superb. You could tell it has been recently renovated and they did an amazing job!The only thing was the local area was not ideal in my mind. We did walk to PNC park and it was 15-20 mins away. Overall LOVELY home and great owners!!"

"Perfect place if you need to be close to Childrens Hospital or West Penn. Walking distance to most of your needs. Parking with permit. Nice quiet neighborhood. Host provides basics and is very responsive. Laundry on site. We were able to extend our stay easily. Definately would recommend."

"Was in town for an unfortunate situation due to a family member needing an emergency surgery and was a little worried about booking a property with no reviews, but after speaking with the owner, I was put at ease and let me tell you this property is not only in a great location, but also such a beautiful property and the house even provided breakfast, pastries, and snacks as well as drinks so definitely already looking into booking another trip out to Pittsburgh just to stay here! "It was a great stay! It was really wonderful to have a dining room table that sat 8, but they also had extra folding chairs just in case as well. The bathrooms are beautiful and the towels were soft. "We had the most amazing stay at Steel City Getaway! The area is so quiet and the neighbors are so friendly! The house was very clean and lots of room to spread out. Dave was so easy to communicate with! "

"The house is exactly as advertised. Great place to trip balls on some shrooms and have an hour long conversation with the Wonka shower curtain. He convinced me to divorce my wife and leave the kids with her and go find my true calling in the wilds of the desert in Utah. Been here ever since. My three new wives are the best thing that ever happened to me. And their combined ages is still younger than my ex-wife!10/10 will definitely be back for my next mid-life crisis!"

"Matt was very communicative when we had questions. We just have two suggestions. 1. That entry door is no beuno! Felt like the dead lock opened but the handle lock didn’t. 2. Desperately needs lighting in kitchen and dining room thank goodness for the time change and we had light longer. It would be more helpful if you had a physical notebook of instructions, suggestions like You can walk to Arsenal Park with kiddos, and menus of nearby restaurants.
