"Mirko was an excellent host! He answered questions quickly and offered great advice before my trip, and he checked in with me once I arrived. "Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this home. Very peaceful and a large home especially for the price. It was very clean and comfortable. A few things to note.. There were no outside pool chairs which really detracted from the nice outside area as there was nowhere to sit and unwind. A couple of deck loungers would have made this a full five star property.
