The room was perfect for my needs, with a nice view of the lake. It was quiet as well. The only issue I had was nearly falling on the sidewalk near the parking area due to ice hidden underneath the snow.

The staff was INCREDIBLE but there were a few things that I couldn’t really get over, although it’s worth giving one more shot potentially -Short showers- I’m 5’7” and my head was centimeters from the shower head which I find kind of off putting and unhygienic -no breakfast: I was really sad about this; I know it’s small but they have a full restaurant below. You couldn’t even elect to order breakfast or pick up à la carte items - there was no temperature control in the room: the whole floor shares one thermostat. My boyfriend and I were SO COLD for the entire stay -the rooms were indeed different from one another or at least the room on the main floor had a different layout which I MUCH preferred. There were no definitive differences or notations online -difficult to make contact: I had a REALLY hard time getting ahold of the managers for any reason before, during or after the stay. Voicemails were not returned

We stayed in the Owl's Den and what a lovely room! Very small, but beautiful view of the lake. Very quiet and just the overnight getaway we needed. Loved the shower head in the bathroom, too! Next time, we'll try another room and perhaps have dinner at Dock Brown's as well.

The room was clean, nice and easy to access with the code. The only issue was that there was hardly any warm water when showering in the morning. Everything else was great!

Gorgeous view of the lake. The room decor was lovely and very clean. A staff member was welcoming and helpful. Although the restaurant was closed, there were other options close by. Hotel guest parking was taken when I returned at night, but I managed to park my car close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing in the complex was open during our one-night visit so I cant comment on the bar, beachfront, etc. But the room was clean and very cozy, and the bed was comfy. There was a self-serve coffee bar in the common area. The check-in was automated with details shared via email in advance so that process was very smooth. I would definitely stay at The Nest again!

No staff on property, room had no paper of info re WiFi, how to contact management, info that coffee, etc were upstairs on a different floor….., TV didn’t work, electrical outlets didn’t work …I reported it the next day to property manager who was very responsive and got it those problems fixed, but made for a frustrating first two days. Owner upgraded us to better room for our last day but hot water took 10! Minutes to get just warm…never hot…again reported to property manager who was very responsive and had owners look into the problem, but in the meantime while we were there had very chilly showers. Owners said they would refund one days rental, which was smart of them but it was frustrating to have to deal with short comings at all. Could be a great experience but they need to be more aware of the small things at property that make the difference been a frustrating experience and what could have been good. Decor was lovely, clean, but so MANY decorative pillows that in the very small rooms they had to be put on the floor in order to sleep in bed…wonder if staff washes the covers on those pillows…doubt it.. sorry really wanted to give a better review but this is honest and the things I mentioned make a difference.

Room was very clean and neat. Everything was very comfortable and was good for our stay. The unit does not have individual thermostats and the room writeup indicates to call if there is a temperature issue. We were cold during the day and too warm at night. We never called as we made do for the night.

The room was as pictured; however, the hotel was misleading in their advertisement. The restaurant and bar at the hotel were not only closed, but under renovations. The entire hotel and surrounding area was a ghost town with everything being closed for the offseason. The numbers listed for assistance didn’t even ring and just had a disconnected tone to them. We couldn’t even contact anyone with an issue and our room had issues. The lights were out in our room and the lamps were all the light we had. Our shower didn’t get hot, just lukewarm water. The room was so excessively dry we woke up frequently to drink water and had difficulty sleeping. The bed was quite uncomfortable as well. There was not enough parking for the hotel and we had to create our own spot so we didn’t have to park in an unknown area and be uncertain if our car might be towed due to everything saying “closed for the season.” Overall, it was a terrible experience and it is apparent that the hotel is not maintained during the “off season.” I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you are okay with being uncomfortable, sleeping in such dry conditions your nose is bleeding and your throat struggles to swallow water, and there’s no one to contact for assistance with these issues. I couldn’t even contact anyone to try to get a refund or alternative room for my stay due to the numbers all being disconnected.

The room was beautiful but the staff’s attitude was not. Did not know there were no refrigerators in the rooms. Getting ice from the restaurant was inconvenient, awkward, and hard. The service area was small and the refrigerator was off and smelled bad. The rooms were upstairs with no information of that beforehand so it was horrible for medical conditions. Michelle’s attitude was horrendous, not sure who she is, but hopefully she isn’t trying to manage people. If Michelle is the owner and treated her guest this way, I can just imagine how she treats her staff. Won’t be staying there ever again.

Our room was a studio size. The bed was super comfortable, and you can tell that they want you to be comfortable with your stay. They had cookies and water, and I think other snacks out for the guests in the hall near the restaurant. We loved this place, the people were friendly at the restaurant and the food was really good. The views of the lake wer awesome as well. Stay here if you want a family friendly vibe.

The room was nice and cozy, and I loved looking out over the water. Check in was good, but there was no check up on me to see if I needed anything. I reached out for something and about 36 hours later received a response. I didn't mind not having a coffee maker in the room because there was one in the hallway. However, the coffee maker in the hallway did not work well. Also, when I plugged in the kettle for tea, it shorted everything out. The hot water in the shower and bathroom sink was luke warm, not hot enough to shower.
