This seems to be a work in progress. The inside was clean, well furnished and comfortable and we enjoyed the nice appliances, Keurig, washer/dryer. We appreciated the soaps, shampoos, paper goods etc. Much nicer than a small hotel room and in a great location--walk to the track, restaurants or close by to everything else in Saratoga. The interior is exceptionally dark
(painted dark navy -- including walls, trim and ceilings), like a dungeon. There were not enough lights to brighten the place, particularly the guest bedroom, which was too dark to see anything at all--please add a floor lamp at the very least and reposition the mirrors so they are usable. The outside of the house and the grounds need some major attention -- painting, powerwashing, lawn mowing, weeding, cleaning. We loved the porches upstairs (dirty and stained) but the front porch was unusable. Weeds and poison ivy and a shredded porch flag greet arrivals. This has the potential to be a stunning place with a little more work. If you think only old men who don't give a crap about aesthetics attend the races at Saratoga, guess again. Women love the track and want to stay in clean, pretty places. (I own and rent a condo in a resort destination so I am not oblivious to the care and work that is involved in maintaining one.) Good Luck!
