Best in Class

We stay on the Gulf every summer and this was the best place we have stayed so far. It was spacious and clean, only steps from the beach. There is no laundry inside the rental, however a common washer/dryer was right outside our door.

Longboat key vacation

We have stayed in Longboat before in other resorts but this visit was the best. The check-in, parking, rooms very clean, coffee maker, umbrellas. I contacted the management and they answered me in timely manner. They had beach umbrellas and all emmenities. I will definitely recommend this resort and will return.

Can’t beat the location, but interior was dirty

So we will absolutely stay at Beach Castle Resort again. Sue made check in a breeze and was super friendly and accommodating (thanks Sue)! You also cannot beat being right on the beach and all the amenities provided (beach chairs, towels, sand toys, bogey boards, and umbrellas! However, unit 5 was dirty (a dead cockroach in the closet, moldy shower curtain, and stains on the couch). Each unit is individually owned, so we plan to rent another unit next year. We would stay at number 5 if they did a deep clean, got rid of the dirty items, and an exterminator.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me start by saying we've been staying at the Beach Castle for nearly 25 years. We love your resort. This year, I adv the representative over the phone we have 2 parties coming from 2 different locations and we would have 2 cars. He said that would be no problem at all. When we got there, there was no one in the office, granted we were a little earlier than check in. I called the # and she came back to check us in about 40 minutes later. This was fine. But when we checked in, she adv we only have 1 parking pass. I adv I'd already explained to the rep over the phone, she said there was no mention of it in our reservations. She did give us a pass to park off site at Cedars East. Again fine, a little inconvenient but still okay. The room was okay. The only real issue we had with is was there were bugs in the room. I mean there seemed to be a lage abundance of them. I am talking cockroaches. Not the large water bug kind that are inevitable in the humid south, the nasty kind. Dead and alive. We also had an issue with the occupants of one bed getting bitten during the night. The vacation was great, everything else was great, but the cleanliness of the room was lacking.

The condo was amazing and so much more than what the pictures showed!!! Perfect place for our trip and the kids loved it as it was right one the beach, I think the wife might have loved it more. It was very well stocked in the kitchen, many towels for bathroom and the beach,along with items to help keep everything clean. The condo was very clean and had books, games and puzzles to pass the time when it was raining and cold out. The patio area was nice and private but still had the beautiful view so you didn't miss a thing. We always enjoy our stay at beach castle. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Relatively good location to the beach, older style resort/format

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place itself was decent. Location is great if you want to be on the beach and in the middle part of LBK. There is some updating that needs to be done within the unit and the beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked. The shower curtain was disgusting, dark spots and moldy. The other shower had no shower head and overall was old and dirty. Resort staff were very nice. If you are looking for a low key old school type of resort then this place fits the bill.

I would never go back. I was so disappointed in the upkeep and cleanliness of the whole property. I spent the first day cleaning and waiting on maintenance to fix the locks on the doors so we could feel safe to leave. I felt we should not have to pay to stay the first day since I did the cleaning. The kitchen chairs which had been there in the past when we stayed had caked food all on them which I cleaned. The shower had mold on the handles and walls which I cleaned. None of the ceiling lights worked and they worked until after 5 fixing one sliding glass door lock and I didn't even tell them when I realized the other did not work either. I didn't want to loose another day at the beach. There were ants all on the beach (probably from the dead fish from red tide before) and my car was full of ants when I went home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been visiting Beach Castle for 25 years, and my wife's family has been coming here for 46 years. The rooms were as comfortable as ever, and the unit was nicely updated and very comfortable. The exterior looked well maintained - however there were some messy and loud neighbors - several large families using multiple units. They tended to not be as aware that there were other guests - but this was the only time that this has occurred in all of the years that we have been visiting. The location is perfectly positioned to enjoy the Beach and Bay. On the Bay side - the dock was not as well maintained as other years though. Boat renatals from Cannon's Marina are a great way to enjoy the water. You can even pull up to the Beach castle Dock to load your gear and family! Oma's Pizza delivers delicious Pizza - even the Fried Calmari arrives hot and tasty! St. Armands Circle was as busy as ever!We have always looked forward to our visits, and we cannot wait to go back!

Perfect Location

Super clean and quiet location. The only drawback was the swimming pool was hot water not refreshing !!! Other than that I couldn’t recommend this place more!!

Perfect for a short getaway

This property had everything we needed for an extended weekend getaway. The beach chairs on the beach and abundance of umbrellas up by the condos was a huge win. Pool was close and nice. Saltwater I think. Condo was clean and had all supplies needed although we did takeout for nearly every meal when we did not eat outside at local restaurants. Ice maker in freezer would have been nice but no big deal. Beds were comfortable. If we return to LBK, we would stay here again.
