Love the Island

Everything was great. Comfortable beds and close beach access. The gas grill at the property was corroded and not functioning well. The grill needs to be replaced. Other than that, we loved everything.

Great beach access

This property was perfect for me and my two young adult children. It is clean and well-stocked and only a 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The place is relatively well-kept but isn’t new and has expected weathering as a beach condo might have. There are some newer places to stay, but the vicinity to the beach makes it’s a great choice. It is also on the trolley route if you want to avoid renting a car. We liked the lanai that also has a television which we enjoyed for watching football playoff games. Elisa was fantastic, giving us updates to ensure the island was in shape for receiving visitors; we also easily got an extension on our final day to accommodate a later flight. Great place.

Great location ! Comfy beds. Bonus room off of garage was ice cold. Main house AC was horrible could not keep 72 no matter what we tried. Temp.inside at 12 was 78. Used the oven 1 day and temp rose to 83. Fridge is crap. A house this size should have a larger washer and dryer. House was not thoroughly cleaned, toe nail clippings, sand hair moldy hvac vents.

Traumatic wanted to leave as soon as we arrived!

Arrived to a grimy ,dirty house, sofa stained, rugs huge stains, paintwork flaking off mattress stains, broken queen bed. Dirty stained sun-loungers, outdoor rusty sun sign left on floor , garage with rusty washer and broken chairs. Two cleaners sent to deep clean took over 12 hours to clean through house. Sofas steam cleaned to remove stains another day. DIY guy screwed broken bed in top floor still broken rocks too and fro. The worst is the badly stained mattresses look under the cover they need replacing, awful to think you sleep on them . Wanted to leave property on checking in! owner refused and left us to holiday in 5 out of 9 days living in cleaning and trying to repair what should have been done before arrival. The worst is thinking you sleep on stained mattresses , we stayed out as long as possible as we didn’t want to come back to this property.

Perfect

Whispering palms was the absolute perfect rental for spring break for my family of 5. The location to the beach, trolley stop, the north end, and the closer shopping district couldn’t have been better. The decor was also perfection. It felt like a real retreat. Elissa was always available to communicate with which made the entire process seamless. Oh and THE garage. Having everything you would need for a day at the beach and a place to store it all made it so easy. It really felt like home. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us, Elissa!

Perfect home, perfect location, perfect host!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! It was beautiful, perfectly stocked with all the comforts of home, and ALL the beach necessities. You had us at Spike ball! You really thought of everything! The location was amazing, with the home right between the pool and the beach, and the wagons made it effortless to take everything wherever we wanted to go. Holmes beach in November was better than we could have even imagined… and nothing is more beautiful than an Anna Maria sunset!

Beautiful home and location

My husband and I with our 4 teenagers stayed the week between Christmas and New Years. The house was clean, pretty and well stocked with beach essentials. The location was in a breathtaking tropical setting and was just a short walk to the beach. Super close to grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping and dining. We had a blast and hope to come back soon!

Holmes Beach 6317

We were a party of four adults visiting Holmes Beach during Christmas week. Our plans were minimal, to build a jig-saw puzzle, enjoy some fresh seafood from Captain Anthony's, roast some oysters, walk a lot, play some games, and enjoy some good conversation over morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. 6317 is nicely located mid-way between two beach bars that made for some nicely long walks on the beach. It is also convenient to Captain Anthony's, Publix, and The Island Seafood Market. The kitchen table was an excellent venue for our jig-saw puzzle and became the central gathering place throughout our stay. It was a little chilly but one day we enjoyed the back porch area which was perfectly suited to our game-playing and conversation. Food was and is one of our favorite events --- preparing it and eating. The kitchen served us well. All the appliances worked as expected and everything turned out as hoped. We did use the grill to roast some oysters. 6317 served us well, as four. We were supposed to have been 6 and we think that would have been a bit crowded, especially four adults sharing the one upstairs bathroom. We had some issues keeping the temperature consistent. Obeying the note to not adjust the thermostat left us to open and close windows which was a little tricky as the outside temperature was a little inconsistent too. There are more than a few "don't do . . ." notes which kind of dampen the many reminders to "relax". There are three noisy events that come with 6317, trash pickup and the landscaping clean-up crew which occur once each week. The other is the stone driveway that crunches with each passing vehicle. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the unit served us very well. Thanks for making it available and for furnishing it so well. Happy New Year.

The location of this property was perfect. The condo is well equipped with beach equipment and games for the family. Our whole family enjoyed their stay. During the week we were there it was extremely hot and the ac had a hard time keeping up. This would be a five star with a larger ac.

Lovely home

It was perfect for us. This was a "girls' trip" for six. The house was arranged nicely. We especially enjoyed the outside patio and the screened in deck. This was not a house where the "extra" furniture gets put. The furniture and decor were nice. The owner was very responsive and offered help with anything we needed. Short walk to the beach.

Terrific unit, ample amenities, and a great location. It included ample towels, beach equipment (chairs, nice wagon, games/toys), and it's a very short walk to a great stretch of beach. We would definitely stay here again.
