What a wonderful trip! The cabin is very comfortable with fantastic views. We caught the fall color at just the right time and watched eagles and hawks soaring over the mountain. There are nice walks and hikes both on the quiet neighborhood roads and on the nature trails. Although we did not go all the way into Panthertown Valley, it is possible to do so. Highly recommend this cabin.

My wife and I spent 8 weeks in this property during the summer of 2025. It is a fantastic "cabin" for several reasons. One the view, from both porches, is truly inspiring --- waking up every morning and gazing out over the mountains, watching the waterfall form during rainfalls, seeing the fog form after a storm. Truly beautiful. Second, the 2-story home feels bigger then it may sound, at times we had 12/13 family members staying there, and it was still comfortable. Third, Sally the landlord does a fantastic job with upkeep, all appliances worked, multiple TV's across all rooms, first-rate internet (none of these things are guaranteed given the remote location). Fourth, the house comes with access to a community center with pools, hot tubs, gym, restaurant, game-room, mini-golf & zipline, along with access to Fairfield Lake, an adorable lake that has a small beach, swimming raft and rents canoes, fishing boats etc. And we had access to tennis courts and multiple golf courts. All these benefits made the experience much more fun and memorable for our six grandkids, ages 4 to 10. Finally, if you are urban dwellers like us, it's just really cool to drive up and down the mountain and spot deer, frogs and, yes, black bears! All in 80 degree weather in July. We had never been to the North Carolina mountains, this property made our experience memorable and exceeded our high expectations.

Perfect place for relaxation

We had such a wonderful and peaceful spring break. The house was beautiful and exactly as it was described. The view was amazing and location convenient for restaurants, amenities, and hikes. The host made it very easy by providing detailed directions for everything and had a great list of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Family President’s Weekend

Wonderful weekend in mountains! House was well laid out for two families. Amazing views of the mountains. Kitchens well stocked. Theater area was perfect for movie watching. Firewood provided was greatly appreciated. Comfortable mattresses made for great sleeping.

Beautiful view!

We had a wonderful time at Cashier Log Cabin! It was so relaxing and the view was amazing. The resort was closed for the most part due to low staffing, but that was no fault of the owner. We hiked to the falls which was also amazing! They had a Christmas tree for us which was very thoughtful. Everything was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed just sitting by the fire and enjoying the holiday together! Thank you for letting us stay!

Amazing Stay!

The home itself was absolutely stunning with a breathtaking view. The owners were so accommodating and made this such a smooth process. We had our wedding at the pavilion, and it was nothing short of amazing! The owners were super helpful in coordinating everything. Highly recommend a stay here!

Great Cabin

Such a great mountain cabin! The views were great and the cabin was very cozy...this is exactly what us from FL were expecting for a winter retreat. The cabin was perfect for the two families that went. Plenty of space! Having a little movie room was awesome. We truly enjoyed this cabin and hope to return yearly. Also, were surprised how close we where to several golf courses, good restaurants, snow tubing and amazing water falls. We enjoyed pretty good weather so where able to take some day trips to explore the area. We loved it and will definitely return to the Sapphire/Cahiers area. Sally was a pleasure to work with. She communicated very quickly and was very helpful. My friend left her Dyson blow-dryer in one of the bathrooms. Sally and Bryan quickly helped and mailed it back to us! Thank you!

Great Vacation!

We have stayed in the Cashiers area during the July 4th holiday for the last 5 years . By far, we enjoyed our time in this home as much or more than any with its amazing views. The home was very well appointed with all we needed during our 7-night stay. The views from the back porch were amazing and among the best of the homes we have rented in the past. Daily afternoon rain showers were showcased by a beautiful rainbow reaching down into the valley. One small challenge was promptly addressed by the property manager. Overall, the property met our expectations. The only small exception might be the bed in the bottom floor. It has limited privacy and the bathroom for that bedroom is adjacent to the theater room. This did not prove to be a problem for us as my son and daughter in law used this floor as their personal suite! It also made it easier for them as their dog stayed in the utility room as requested which is right by the bedroom area downstairs with direct access outside. We would recommend this property to anyone that is interested in gorgeous views, nice amenities at Sapphire Resort and a quick commute to most areas of interest.

Beautiful home

The house was perfect for our 2 adult children, 2 grands, and us ….Kitchen had anything necessary if you want to cook. We did breakfast there and maybe one night ate our leftovers in! Plenty of appliances, dishes, and of course a great coffee maker. All bedrooms perfect with comfortable beds. We never used the game area as we were gone most days. Owner was kind and even offered us an extra day due to bad weather. Beautiful view, we would rent again.

Beautiful

The house was perfect, large enough for all of us but still with a very cozy feel, and the views were just stunning. Beds and couches were comfortable, and there was plenty of wood provided for the fireplace which we kept in operation pretty much all day, every day. Kitchen facilities were great. The property manager was helpful and quickly responsive to questions. A lovely and relaxing vacation for my family!

Great house, amazing view!

We really enjoyed our family stay in Cashiers for Thanksgiving. The house had everything we could possibly need to cook a nice meal and enjoy our time together. It was very nice to bring our family pets along with us, as they go everywhere with us and they even enjoyed the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Cashiers. Sitting outside and enjoying the view along with the sound of the waterfall every day was probably our favorite part. The only thing I really "complained" about the whole week was not having blinds or curtains in the master bathroom. Some may not mind but with the deck right there it wasn't my favorite, but we made it work. I would pay a little extra if there was a hot tub on the property, that would be a huge bonus. Overall it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely return.

Spectacular views!

This is our 3rd time staying in the neighborhood but the first for this specific property. The house was roomy and comfortable. The views from the deck are world class! The 4 bedroom layout is best suited for 4 couples and less so for 5 single guys. There was a power outage one night (I think it affected the whole street), but this was overnight and not a bother. We had bear visitors so make sure your car is free of food and locked. Very enjoyable stay. Oh, and no phone service for Verizon but wifi works great.

An exceptional property

We were very delighted to spent a long weekend at this beautiful , located high in the mountains property . The house has a large balcony with amazing views and comfortable furniture .Every single corner inside and outside was very clean and well taken care of. The communication with the owner was easy and we got very detailed instructions about the arrival and how to use Saphire Valley facilities . Hopefully we will be back soon.
