Our recent stay at the Hemera Holiday Home villa in Akrotiri, Santorini, was an exceptional experience that truly exceeded all expectations. This stunning property boasts breathtaking, panoramic western views that capture the essence of Santorini's iconic beauty. From the expansive verandas, we were captivated daily by the dramatic caldera, the majestic volcano, and the world-renowned sunsets stretching to Oia.Beyond the unparalleled scenery, the villa itself is a haven of comfort and luxury. The private pool, complete with a Jacuzzi, was a delightful spot to relax while taking in the incredible vistas. The modern Cycladic architecture is both stylish and incredibly comfortable, featuring thoughtful amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor areas, perfect for enjoying the island breeze.Maria Vaila, our Premier Host, was an absolute gem—her warmth, helpfulness, and thoughtful touches, including homemade breakfasts and local treats, elevated our stay from great to truly extraordinary. Her recommendations and assistance with arrangements made exploring Santorini effortless.Maria was a one-stop shop for all requests, such as transportation and dining. She gave us a list of restaurants, all of which were five-star rated. She took us to an evening celebration in her hometown of Megalochori. In this beautiful city, we enjoyed meeting her friends, dancing, and eating great local food. This is not something you get with other rentals. Truly amazing.

Un excellent séjour à Santorin

La villa est très agréable en dehors d'un escalier un peu étroit. La vue est exceptionnelle sur la caldera. A distance des lieux trop fréquentés il est facile de circuler à partir de cet emplacement. We have traveled to many different destinations where people have shared their home and Hemera Holiday Home has been the best one we have ever been to ! Maria is an unbelievable top notch host ! Her hospitality is unmatched ! She was easy to communicate with , set us up with different activities to do , provided delicious vegetables from her garden and greeted us every morning with Greek breakfast ! Now let’s talk about THE VIEW !!! WOW !!! You might not want to leave with the impeccable panaramic views from all the different balconies surrounding the home . This home truly is a serenity oasis ! Was a beautiful place to watch the sunset from your pool while you relax on the comfortable furniture sipping wine. We created wonderful memories and will dream of coming back one day !!!

Absolutely amazing home and views!!

My family stayed at Hemera Home in May 2024. Maria is an amazing lady and so attentive and helpful. The home is fantastic, extremely comfortable and honestly, the pictures just don’t do it justice. The pool area is well laid out and very comfortable. The sunset views are better than fighting the mobs at Oia (way overrated). Great location and a quiet area. Easy to get to nice restaurants and beaches nearby. Maria organized some tours for us and they were outstanding. The best was the Catamaran Sunset cruise, it’s a must. 5 hours and you get to swim a couple of times and they cook a great meal for you. Speaking of meals, Maria brought a fresh traditional Greek breakfast every morning that was unbelievable! Every day was something different but amazing. My wife and I are already planning a return trip to stay at Hemera home this fall. YAMAS!!

Property was very clean, amazing views and such a nice outdoor pool area. The host Maria was very thorough with the check in process, she was very helpful with arranging transfers from port and into town as well as providing recommendations for dinner spots. Fantastic family vacation!

Maria made our vacation in Santorini very special for my family. Hemera Holiday Home is a very special place looking out at the Aegean with breathtaking sunsets. From the time we arrived we were treated like family by Maria and her husband. We arrived on my birthday and Maria had baked me a special birthday cake! In advance of our trip maria worked with me to setup a magical agenda of things to do in Santorini. On day one we had dinner at Theofanis in Akrotiri (highly recommend). Day two was panoramic island private tour followed by private dinner arranged by Maria on pool deck overlooking sunset. Day three club 41 black beach during day, special 1st anniversary Romantic evening for my son and daughter in law. This includes makeup artist, photographer photographing my daughter in law with a flying dress that was provided in romantic places in Santorini. Mom and dad had a couples massage by the pool while they had their romantic evening. Day four was private catamaran late afternoon to sunset it was amazing, good food cooked on board, wine and snorkeling ( great way to see all beaches ). Day 5 winery tour three wineries, 14 wines followed by dinner at Amoundi fish house in Oai while we watched sunset. Day 6 cooking class. Maria cooked amazing Greek breakfast each day. We left Greece with new friends for life we will return to Hemera Holiday Home

Felt right at home

From the moment we booked online, to the day of our departure, we were well taken care of. Maria, the owner greeted us when we arrived, had yummy homemade food & vegetables from her garden there for us along with giving us detailed information about what yo do & see on the island and helped arrange excursions, drivers & dinner reservations. She made breakfast for us each morning, provided us with clean towels & anything else we needed. The villa/home was beautiful, clean with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Perfect for our family of 5. The view from every window of the the sea was gorgeous and peaceful as well as the pool & dining area on site. Our time in Santorini staying at the Hemera holiday home was perfect! I highly recommend & would definitely stay again! Thank you Maria 🙏❤️

Too good to describe!

Maria is the best host ever. This house is so clean and neat, it could have been built a week before we arrived. Amazing views. Stayed with friends, 3 couples in all. We were very comfortable and loved staying at Maria's incredible place. We had a car, great location to base from in Santorini. Homemade breakfasts brought each morning were amazing. Her recommendations for restaurants, sailing trip, and things to do were spot on. We can't say enough, what a place!

Wonderful Villa and Host

The villa was such a lovely place to stay with my family. It was extremely well maintained and clean. Our host Maria, was always there to help with anything we needed. She also makes a very delicious breakfast each morning which is so well appreciated. My sons and I enjoyed being able to spend time around the pool and listening to music after days of touring . Awesome experience

Staying at the villa was an amazing experience. Clean as a whistle, great host, and amazing views. Went for my honeymoon with my wife and close friends. Beautiful holiday home

We had a very memorable holiday to Greece recently and the highlight of the trip was our time spent in Santorini. The Hemera holiday home was a beautiful property just as seen in the pictures. The property has the most gorgeous views of the caldera and sunsets and is very clean and comfortable. Our host was amazing and took care of all our needs and more! I highly recommend this home for your stay in Santorini if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay away from the crowds of Oia and Fira but yet easily accessible to the same.

Wonderful host and a perfect location

The villa is a hidden gem in a more private part of Santorini. The sunset from the balcony is as beautiful as the one you can see in Fía and Oia, but with privacy! The host Maria is very friendly and helpful, she arranged transfers for us, made breakfasts for us, give us extra yogurt and fruits when she heard that one of our daughters has gluten intolerance. Our stay in Santorini was perfect thanks to the villa and Maria’s wonderful hospitality.
