Agradable

El lugar en general está bien, tiene piscina justo a la entrada y parqueadero, sin embargo, es algo angosto el camino de entrada y queda algo apartado de los sitios de interés. Fuera de eso, la dueña se comportó fantástico, muy cómodas las camas y nos ayudó en toda la logística

Beautiful & Quiet

The place is comfortable. The pool is peaceful and private. It is shared with two other villas in the enclosed area, however we were never out at the same time and everyone was very friendly. There are amazing views when you go on top of one of the villas. The one downside is that the streets are very narrow if you plan to drive a car. They do have a garage available upon request when booking which helps a lot with parking. We enjoyed staying in Emporio because it is a more quiet and authentic town. The beach is very close and more of the tourist atmosphere is still near (by the beach) if that is what you seek. The host was accessible when needed.

Herrlicher Urlaub auf Santorini

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub auf Santorini. Die Insel ist eine karge Schönheit mit herrlichen Städten und Stränden. Die Villa Mantilida liegt in einem kleineren und ruhigen 0rt - Emporeio. Die Anlage und die Wohnung sind sehr gepflegt. Der Pool war die ganze Zeit super sauber. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin hat sehr gut funktioniert. Als einmal ein kleines Problem im Bad gab, hat sie dieses umgehend beheben lassen. Top. Da der Weg zur Wohnanlage durch enge Straßen führt, sollte der Mietwagen so klein wie möglich sein. Dieser Tipp gilt für die gesamte Insel. Wir kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Amazing!

Property is stunning! Room is super clean and spacious. If you are looking to go to Oia or Thira rent a car! Ubers are like 40+ euro either way so even though this property is reasonably priced for the island you will pay hundreds for cab rides. We basically had the whole villa to ourselves though which was awesome and the pool was very nice. Would 100% recommend if you are looking to stay away from the “touristy” spots. Very quiet little town but not a whole lot of options for eating out. All in all very cute little spot!

Wonderful haven in beautiful Emporio

My daughter’s and I had a fantastic week staying at this beautiful villa in Emporio. Everything about the villa was aesthetically pleasing, including the beautiful garden and dipping pool. We also feel very lucky that we found this gem in a part of the island that is much less touristy than Oia or Fira. A truly great experience.

Petite pépite authentique loin des foules

Alexandra a répondu à toutes nos demandes. Bien que la piscine ne soit pas privative, le partage avec les 2 autres appartements ne posait pas de problème. Perissa, à quelques km, permet de profiter de la vie nocturne. J’ai bcp apprécié le côté calme et authentique d’Emporio, loin de la folie de Fira. Dommage que l’île ne fasse de manière générale aucun effort en terme de recyclage… c’était le seul point négatif de notre séjour.

Hidden gem

Very nice villa & appartment (we had a beautiful cave as a room ), centrally located, quiet neibourhood, not tourist-intense area, host responds quickly to messages and Perissa beach a few minutes away by car or bus. Kamari beach, Fira village and Oia village are about 20-30 minutes away by car. Also, very nice vineyards on the island. We would not hesitate to go back. One negative is the narrow road to the villa from Emporio village (square). Drive carefully and enjoy!

Super!

Wat een heerlijk huis, Alexandra is de beste host die je kunt bedenken. Alle faciliteiten zijn fijn, schoon en netjes. Het wordt zelfs elke dag schoongemaakt!! Fijn zwembad, goede locatie. Geen andere keuze op Santorini, Mantilida it is!!

Great villa in a beautiful town

The home we stayed in was beautiful! We had access to a pool and stayed in a historic town which gave us a perfect non-touristy environment. Alexandra was extremely kind and gave us great recommendations all over the island. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed staying at our apartment which had a secluded front garden. The surroundings were quiet and there was access to supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The pool was nicely layed out great for lounging around! Emporio itself has some interesting architecture and there is some great hiking nearby. We were so well looked after, Alexandra was super attentive to anything we needed. She provided a fantastic guide for seeing the sights. Thank you for a very wonderful week.

Alexandria was an amazing host!! She arranged transportation for us, had great recommendations for dinner (which were amazing), and made us feel at home! Loved the villa, but just wished it was a little bit warmer so we could on enjoyed the pool! Overall great experience and would recommend this villa to anyone staying in Santorini!! ❤️

Great out of the way get away on Santorini

Overall a great stay here at Mantilda Villa. Just be warned this is a small town with small streets so if you are faint of heart driving the alleyway getting to the property is very small - really a sedan would be tight in there. The property itself was spectacularly clean and Alexandra was very helpful. Air conditioner didn't work and since there is no windows in this cave apartment you even need it in the winter for air circulation. Other than that it was great. In the summer the pool would be awesome. There is a little restaurant at the end of the street that roasts meats....seriously one of the best meals we ate in Greece. You are driving to everywhere and you are only a few miles from everything but be warned - slow moving traffic so especially in the summer it will take you time to get to places

Interesting accommodation - great pool

This is a very unusual house built into a cave. We went there (a couple and a single friend in our 60s) for a week at the beginning of October. The transfer from the airport went seamlessly and the owner could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The village has some tavernas, bars and supermarkets and it is worth exploring up near the church - some lovely little streets. Buses to and from Thira and Parissa go through the village and we visited Thira, Parissa, Oia. Beware if you want to go somewhere else en route as many of the buses are “express” and do not stop at other places. We did not hire a car but in retrospect it would have made life easier. The swimming pool was great - though unheated so it was pretty cold by the start of October. The decor of the house was in keeping and it looked authentic and interesting. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The double bed was not very comfortable and bedside lights and some chests of drawers would have been useful. In general we had a very good time. The thing we want to point out, which was not made clear, is that this house is completely open plan so although it is marketed as a two bedroomed property there are no doors except for the bathroom, and the bedrooms are in very close proximity in alcoves. There is no privacy. We managed because we are pretty laid back and have a sense of humour but it really wouldn’t work for many as you were really sharing a room! Also it is worth pointing out that there are about half a dozen ginger cats constantly trying to get into the house so the doors had to stay shut. They belong to the farm next door so it would be difficult for the owner to do anything about them but they were a bit much. We would recommend this property for a couple, or a couple with small children - not teenagers!

Amazing

The Mantilida Villa is perfect. Our villa was super clean, modern, and spacious enough for 2 couples. The shared pool is so refreshing. Even though there were other people staying in the other villas, we never had an issue with regards to pool/lounge area sharing. It's the perfect getaway place. Originally, when planning a trip to Santorini, I was looking for a place close to the main cities- Fira and Oia. But, I am SO glad that we decided to stay in Emporio, away from the huge crowds! We rented a car, and were able to get around the whole island, and retreat back to the villa as we wished. We were even able to park the car in the garage which is on the Mantilida property. Just a 7 minute walk away, we came across a cute bakery with AMAZING baklava. Also, nearby there was a grocery store where we purchased delicious fruits. Alexandra was planning to meet us on the night that we arrived, but unfortunately was not able to due to car problems. However, she came by the next day to say hello! and ask us if we needed anything. She was very friendly and is a great host! Our only regret is that we did not stay long enough! Definitely planning to come back to Mantilida Villa!
