Not value for money

We arrived and found the villa very easily, we opened the front gate and we were hit by the most disgusting repugnant smell of cat faeces. There were piles of cat faeces scattered throughout the gravel drive and the only route to the front and back door. Not the best first impression. In addition, the cat mess was on the grass in the back garden around the pool and the smell was awful. We felt we could not use the grassed area for fear of stepping in it. The villa itself had barely been cleaned, the fridge had food all over the inside and rust all over the door and seals, the cutlery drawer was filthy and the crockery all needed washing too. The patio outside had not been swept / washed and we even found someone false nails discarded there. Many items in the property were broken, toilet holders, plug hanging off the wall, locks broken, the glass table outside cracked. The management company were quick to try and rectify the cleanliness and broken items and dangerous plug but this obviously caused disruption to our weeks stay. The one thing they could not resolve was the cat faeces. Despite 2 attempts of using cat deterrent sprays the problem continued and it was unsanitary and for younger children very dangerous. The location was great, air conditioning good and the beds were comfrotable. Our overall judgement on the week was poor, the price charged was not good value even with a small 10% refund provided as compensation.

The location of this property is perfect! It is walkable to the city center, the beach, shopping and restaurants. We were disappointed by the property’s lack of cleanliness and lack of overall comfort level. The property did not look thoroughly cleaned. There were dried dead bugs throughout which hadn’t been swept. There were webs and small bugs in the entrance way ceiling of the home and live bugs crawling around the home. There was black mold in both showers. The springs could be felt in a few of the mattresses. We contacted VRBO due to the lack of cleanliness and the mold being a health concern. The property management did contact us immediately and sent a cleaning crew to bleach the black mold issue in the master bathroom. The surface level black mold was removed with bleach, but required us to report for cleaning to occur. The entire house needs a deep clean and overall more attention as the inside is not well maintained. It looked as though the house had been vacant for a while. The property could be absolutely beautiful if given that extra love and attention! We opted to book a home through VRBO instead of a hotel in hopes for that personal feel we have experienced both in the US and abroad with VRBO/ similar companies. However, we regretted this decision and ended up leaving a day early. These issues of lack of cleanliness, mold, worn out mattresses and overall lack of upkeep can be expected in cheap accommodations, however not at the cost we paid for this property.

Great house, great place, little outdated

Absolutely a great place and great location in Cala d'Or, between the wealthy houses and luxurious hotels, just a few steps away from the nice Cala petite, and the restaurants and shops. The house and the amenities are outdated, and need an upgrade to the standards of this highly priced accommodation: from the outdoor parasols and sunbeds, to the indoor bathrooms and bed mattresses. We received great understanding from the local VRBO staffing, and we received right away a pan set for family cooking, and a functioning coffee machine, while this was broken. Furthermore, broken door handles were fixed right away, together with other disfunctioning amenities. Really appreciated. We had a great stay, and great support from the local VRBO staffing in communication and actions. Thank you! The swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous!! It was a great pleasure to stay in Villa Ohana.

Great location near the fabulous Cala Petita

Relative modern property in need of some maintenance. Pool leaks, needs new fridge and a clothes dryer. Showing some signs of wear eg sun umbrellas and water stains around showers etc. Wi-Fi terrible. Signal a little unreliable but I suspect that’s the provider. Signal range so short it doesn’t reach the bedrooms or even parts of the lounge. Desperate need of a mesh system. Property manager very responsive in dealing with the issues that cropped up. Good to have Netflix on the TV. Lovely outdoor eating area.

property in a great location. Only frustration was with the management. We have a broken toilet and they sent a plumber 1 day later but no communication on when they was coming. We then found 2 men in the property when we had children asleep. Simple email or text could have solved this.

Lovely Villa in a great location

This is a lovely spacious villa in a fab location. Literally 5 minutes from both the Marina and Cala Petita. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Villa with a great pool

Great location in short walking distance to everything you need. Villa was great and came with everything we needed . My only negative is we all struggled with the extremely uncomfortable beds even my 5 year old grumbled about her bed!

Perfekte Lage der Villa Ohana.

Super Lage der Villa. 3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Hafen und 5 Minuten in das Zentrum von Cala d'Or. Nette und verständliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermietungsteam. Ein ganz tolles Haus wunderschön! Einzig etwas Spüli, Salz und Gewürze wären als Grundausstattung nett.

Excellent stay in lovely Villa

We stayed in Villa O’Hana in July 2021 and have to say it was one of our families favourite holidays we have to date. The villa was well equipped, immaculately maintained and positioned just a 5 minute walk to the beach and town yet in a peaceful residential area. We’ll be hoping to return next year.

Had a great week at Villa Ohana, the villa is in a great location, minutes away from the marina, town centre and beach with a great little tapas bar literally just over the road. The villa was well equipped with a great pool and lots of outdoor dining and seating space. Would definitely return.

Das Haus ist ein Traum. Besonders der große Garten mit dem tollen Pool und der schönen Terrasse war perfekt für einen Urlaub mit Freunden. Da wir nur zu Viert angereist sind, war auch das Verhältnis von Schlafzimmern und Badezimmern optimal. Alles in allem ist das Haus sehr modern, sauber, geräumig und in einer Top Lage! Würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Amazing villa in superb location

We returned from our 2 weeks stay at Villa Ohana on 8 August. Having previously owned property in Cala D'or we thought we knew the area well but had not been to the old part of the town where the villa is located, just 5 minutes walk into the centre of the town one way and the same to the marina in the opposite direction, it truly is the most perfect location and completely recommend it. Cala D'or beach (Cala Petita) again was only 3 minutes walk around the corner and down some steep steps, adjacent to the Cala Dor Hotel, we spent many a day chilling in the beach bar and kids playing in the beautiful clear sea. The villa was perfect for our family of two boys aged 12 &10, the pool and terrace area were ideal for relaxing around day and night and gave us all enough space. The villa itself contains a fantastic well fitted out kitchen with all of the utensils you could possibly require. The air-conditioning system is very good and is not on a timer. We are hoping to return to Villa Ohana next year but need a villa that accepts a small well trained dog, therefore if this can be accommodated we will certainly book again. Recommendations - *WIFI drops out in front twin bedroom (maybe a wifi booster would be beneficial) *Both back and front twin bedrooms are a little tired, a set of drawers and new bed frames and dressing table / mirror would tidy them up. * A second TV would be beneficial in either the master bedroom or back room. We certainly look forward to our return, 2 weeks just didn't seam enough!

Great villa!!

Brilliantly equipped and very comfortable. Short walk into town to the main bars and restaurants and a short walk down to the marina so a fantastic location. Also has a shop for bread etc just a few metres away and a large supermarket just up the road. Was a little concerned about lack of parking but always managed to get a spot on the street right outside. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows and the air conditioning was not on a timer like previous villas so it was nice to get ready to go out without melting in a pool of sweat waiting for the timer to come on! Lovely pool and garden with outside seating and eating area which gets the sun all day. If anything the pool got a little too warm because of this so wasn’t necessarily refreshing on the really hot days. Downstairs loo with direct access outside so you don’t need to walk through the villa soaking wet if you need the loo from the pool. Very handy with kids! Fantastically equipped. Haven’t stayed anywhere that had so much stuff. From plenty of extra bedding and towels to enough plates for a huge party with every kind of kitchen implement you could ever need! Lots of storage space too. Big built in wardrobes in every room and large drawers and a pantry in the kitchen! Would highly recommend!

Great family holiday

Spotlessly clean, spacious, airy villa. Stylish interior and outstanding outside space. The pool is large (but a bit chilly!) and plenty of grassed space with ample sunbeds. One parasol on the terrace and another outside, which were both needed because the weather was excellent. A third parasol would have been useful. The location would be hard to beat, a short walk to the marina and an equally short walk to the town. Cala D’Or beach is also a short walk away and Cala Gran and Cala Esmeralda beaches just a little further. A couple of minor observations. The cooker hood is very low and taller occupants did bang their heads. A warning notice might help. Downstairs curtains are thick and lined but bedroom curtains are flimsy, apart from the main bedroom. With a young child early morning light was a bit of an issue. Several light fittings did not work, including all the outside lights apart from the one above the dining table on the patio. We did have a couple of plumbing problems but they were sorted out quickly and efficiently. Despite the minor quibbles the whole family loved the villa and would definitely recommend.

Der Schein trügt!

Wir hatten mit unseren beiden erwachsenen Kindern das Anwesen Mitte September für eine Woche gemietet. Um es vorweg zu nehmen, ein schöner Garten, ein schöner Pool, ansonsten hätte man aus dem Haus viel mehr machen können. Insgesamt war es sehr lieblos eingerichtet, ungepflegt, schmuddelig und ein Teil der Haustechnik, Licht, Wasserhähne, Elektrik, Safe, war in einem miserablen, bzw. defektem Zustand. Das Bett im Masterbedroom war lediglich 1,40m breit. Im zweiten Schlafzimmer waren die Füße des Bettes zum Teil abgebrochen, sodass wir einen in der Höhe passenden Kochtopf unterstellen mussten, damit unser Sohn halbwegs horizontal schlafen konnte. Im dritten Schlafzimmer standen zwei Kojenbetten, die für eine erwachsene Person doch sehr beengt gewesen wären. Das Reinigen der Räume war nur sehr oberflächlich erfolgt. Im Sieb der Spülmaschine lag noch eine ganze Mahlzeit. Die Besteckschublade war verschmutzt und das Geschirr wirkte nicht frisch gespült. Auf der Internetseite wurde der wunderschöne, im Treppenhaus hängende italienische Kronleuchter, entworfen von Gino Sarfatti aus dem Hause Arteluce, präsentiert. Total verstaubt, es fehlte ein Birne, die Hälfte der restlichen Leuchtmittel waren defekt. Für jeden Gast gab es nur ein großes und ein kleines Handtuch. Badetücher mussten wir mitbringen. Geschirrhandtücher gab es keine. Toilettenpapier, Spülmittel, Reinigungsmaterial, Müllbeutel, usw. musste man im Hypermercado erst einmal besorgen. Auch mussten sämtliche Basics zum Kochen gekauft werden. Das sind Centbeträge, zeigen aber die Lieblosigkeit und das Desinteresse der Vermieter. Für einen gepflegten und entspannten Urlaub sollte man auf jeden Fall ein anderes Objekt wählen!

Spacious, well equipped and conveniently located villa.

The villa is spacious and comfortable and the outside area is wonderful. The pool is large and the lawned area is well kept and excellent for children to play on. The patio is large and provides shaded seating at almost all parts of the day. A large barbecue is provided. Cooking equipment in the kitchen is plentiful and there is a dishwasher and washing machine. The property is very close to a beach and to restaurants of every cuisine. The marina is also close. My only suggestions would be for beach/pool towels to be provided. We couldn't make the safe work either. We-2 seniors, 4 adults aged between 25 and 31 and a 20 month old toddler had a lovely holiday with all needs catered for. We would definitely return.

Great location, near marina and centre of Cala D’or

Good sized living areas both inside and out. Pool fantastic as was being very near Cala D’or beach. Villa is well equipped for self catering although a welcome pack would have been a nice addition. We were a family of 6 with ages ranging from 9 to 76 and all had a great stay! Would definitely consider booking again!
