The condo is nicely decorated and has a great view, but it is in dire need of a thorough cleaning and general maintenance/upkeep. I normally do not write reviews, but I feel like the owner/property management company need to address cleaning issues in this condo, especially since I am not the first renter to bring cleaning issues to their attention in a review. As soon as we opened the front door, the first thing we could see were dust balls on the floor behind the TV console in the living room. There was trash on the floor under the TV console, trash (including chewed up gum and cereal) on the floor between the couch and end table, trash and cereal on the floor in the second bedroom, the walls were dirty, the baseboards were dirty, the windowsills were dirty, the comforters were dirty and stained, and the curtains were dirty and stained. The outside of the microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher had smear marks all over them. The living room furniture is worn out and stained and the curtain rod in the living room is about to rip out of the wall. While taking showers, both bathtubs filled with water above the ankles and did not drain until long after getting out of the shower. The management company’s response to a previous review about the cleanliness of this condo of “…housekeeping is a task touched by human hands and is subject to items being missed occasionally” is no excuse. Maintenance issues aside, if housekeeping would take the time to thoroughly clean this condo between renters, including vacuuming BETWEEN and UNDER furniture, and wiping down the outside of the microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher with Windex and a clean paper towel (which I did myself) as opposed to a dirty rag, these things would NOT get missed. When we walked in at approximately 4:20 p.m., the kitchen floor was still very wet indicating housekeeping had just been there and I have no doubt were in a hurry. For the cleaning fee that is charged to renters, I would expect more from housekeeping. This condo has the potential to be a great rental. I hope the owner/property management company will consider taking this condo out of service for a day or two to thoroughly address the issues raised above.
