Quiet getaway..

Overall we had a very nice stay. We came in from Ohio for a wedding so we didn’t spend a ton of time there but it pretty much had everything that we needed. Nice decor and bed was very comfortable. Perfect location for the beach.

Time away on my birthday

This was the perfect spot to be close to the beach as well as neat coffee shops and ice cream at Blue Mt. Beach. I felt completely safe and everything was perfect. The parking is a little tight and the condo is a little hard to find if you aren't looking closely - watch for the sign and know you have to drive back behind the condo on the main road to get to this one.

Unfortunately the place was not clean. Hairs all in and over the sheets and pillows. Did not feel comfortable and ended up leaving the property.Outside of that, the location was good as far as beach access but getting luggage in and out without an elevator was not ideal.The place was not advertised as facing the ocean and while you can see some ocean through the windows over/between some of the buildings, you are really just looking at a parking lot.It is a very small space but had it been clean would have been ok despite the other shortcomings, but wouldn't have booked it again. Definitely don't plan to again!

Overall a few hiccups

Condo is cute. During our stay we were told we had to find somewhere else to park so they could redo parking lot. There’s not alot of parking to begin with so this was inconvenient. Also had a building wide water outage, thankfully it was taken care of quickly. Weather was terrible almost the whole time but can’t control Mother Nature.

Great place

This place was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen supplies could have been better, but that’s ok because we ate out most nights. The stove burner never got hot enough to boil water. However the location was fantastic, quiet, quaint, private beach but still close enough to restaurants and activities. Seaside is only 10-15 minutes away.

Great location

We had a lovely stay at this VRBO. The mgmt staff was very responsive around any questions we had pre check-in. Upon arrival, the unit was as pictured, clean, and decorate very tastefully. The kitchen was lovely to make breakfast and beach lunches as well as walking distance from the beach. The included 2 chairs and beach umbrella made it very nice for a sweet setup upon walking down to the beach. The only negative that comes to mind was that the toaster didn't work. But outside of that we couldn't have asked for much more! PS - if you have trouble with stairs I'd recommend not staying here. The unit is on the 3rd floor

It was so tucked in from the other condo's it felt so private. Being only 10 units we got to know some of the others staying in the other units. Everyone was so friendly. Beach access was perfect. Everything was just as described.

Great Place

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was great with a short walk to restaurants and proximity to the beach. The unit was clean and well equipped. Perfect for 2-3 guests.

Not what was advertised

This unit was not what the advertisement and review comments made us to believe. It failed to tell us the unit was on the third floor accessed by two flights of stairs. Would not have stayed there if we knew. Partial view of beach - Not to be seen. Have to lean over the veranda railing to look down the walkway to the beach to see about 10' of beach and shore. Real joy is too concerned about early arrival and late departure - threatened by fines if violated. We arrived on time and left 2 hours early. Portal to communicate with RealJoy is complicated. Have to log in every time you need to access door code, beach access, etc.. Living space is very small. No table to eat meals. Only place to sit and eat is at the bar occupied in the center by the sink. Electric range is old. Control knobs indicating hot, medium, low are worn off. No directions how to use the controls. Burners do not continuously control the desired heat. Interior is crammed with artificial floral arrangements and seaside decor. Limited room to set anything down without having to relocate pots, shells, etc. out of the way. Veranda view is of the parking lot and on the north side of the building. Not very usable. No sun to sit and enjoy the non-existent "partial beach view".. Bedroom was stuffy. Mattress needs badly upgraded. Hallway rug in front of the bathroom is a trip hazard - the sides of rug are curled up. Needs to be replaced.

Fabulous Location

This place was perfect! Right on a very beautiful beach, private, quiet, easy biking distance to several restaurants and shops. We did use the pullout sofa for two teens and the mattress could stand an upgrade. But the rest of the accommodations - the king bed, the bathroom, the kitchen - were all nice, new, well equipped. There's a safe place to store bikes and beach equipment outside on the ground floor and the porch was a great place for shoes and towels. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Driftwood Cottage

Fantastic!

This is the third time we have stayed in one of the units of this building. It has always been a fantastic place to relax. Very clean, great location, close to restaurants and an ice creamery. We will definitely be back!

Great Location!

A perfect getaway for my husband and and I. The location was absolutely perfect! We were a short walk from food and ice cream. The walk to the beach was amazing and convenient as ever. The condo met all of our needs and we will be back for future stays!
