We were 2 couples staying here for 2 nights. The actual apartment is beautiful and the roof top area is perfect for watching the sunset over the ocean, no need to go anywhere else. It is also very close the big market which is a great spot for breakfast and shopping.
The negative is that you are in an area where there are no beach concessions close by, you will need to drive or take a taxi to either the beaches of Puerto Escondido or La Punta. The walk to either area is about 20 minutes on the beach in either direction. There are really no restaurants close by. The pool is 2 very small wading pools on the first floor. There was no coffee pot in our apartment , but you could go to the first floor and they would make you a cup, but they could only make 2 cups at a time and they did not have creamer or milk. The first floor staff were very kind and did their best to make us feel at home. The other point you should know is that there are no elevators and you get to the stairs by walking on blocks of wood surrounded by stones so if you have a mobility issue this would not be the right place to stay at.
