We had a fun stay in Santa Fe with our dog. We loved the pet friendly location, not far from the plaza. It was peaceful with beautiful views. Our host Boo was friendly and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The accommodation was clean with a side private entrance that made it easy access for us and an enclosed safe area for our dog.

Boo was a very attentive host and reached out to me the day before our arrival with the details on where to park and codes to get through the gate and door. She also helped us get the gate open to the fenced acre for the dog. The area is very overgrown and my husband walked our dog out on her leash. When they came back to us near the gate, our dog had three large stickers in her paw. They were so big, that Boo offered to get us some pliers. I was able to pull them out, but the stickers were no joke and my fingertips were bleeding when I was done. My husband’s white ankle socks were black on top, covered in burs from walking out 50 feet. When we got back inside, we each had huge stickers in the soles of our shoes and needed the pliers after all. We didn’t use the acre area after that. The house rules stated the AC and fans needed to be turned off when we left, but Boo was very accommodating when I asked if we could leave them on when we left our dog there to attend a wedding. She even offered to check in on our dog for us. The bed was very comfortable and nothing was off limits to the dog, who really loved sunning herself on the landing outside, but she refused to go potty in the courtyard. She’s used to grass, so we went on walks and found parks to take her to. Our dog is older, 11 1/2, and is used to more throw rugs and carpeted stairs, so that was a bit of a challenge for her, but she managed okay. Everything we needed was there and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Place To Stay

Location and neighborhood would be given 10 stars if possible. The beauty that is unique to the Santa Fe landscape makes Boo's place idyllic. The views from all windows is saturated in serenity. She is a wonderful host and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great place and location

My stay here was great! The place is spacious, quiet, and very peaceful. I loved having the gated patio to hang out. Great for dogs with endless beautiful walks through the neighborhood. Boo is very accommodating and quick to respond. She even brought me a bottle of wine! It’s comfortable for working from home and it’s only a few minutes drive to get downtown or to hiking trails. Such a nice stay, would love to come back!

Dog approved cozy retreat

Boo has a great property that has all the necessities and some extra comforts. Kitchen is equipped to make a meal, the robes and cozy blankets were a great bonus to have during the colder nights! We arrived later and she had the lights and heat on along with water out for the dogs, and a bottle of wine for the humans. Would recommend and will be staying the next time we are in the Santa Fe area.

Boo was super nice, The place was very nice and clean. We had a great time. Very good location to the plaza and most things Santa Fe. Boo had her eyes worked on and was not feeling well, but still took great care of us. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great owner, great location!

The host lives on the property but was NOT intrusive, leaving homegrown eggs and fruit with us from a friend a few times, just leaving a message that they were on our porch. She was warm and welcoming, a delight to be around, a simply charming lady. There is a one unit washer/dryer with the owner’s manual in the bottom drawer of the bathroom cabinet-other owners’ manuals are in an envelope on the bookcase. There is no delicate setting on the drying part, so I air dried some of my things; no problem in dry Santa Fe! Our time here ran out before our house was completed and the owner allowed us to store some of our winter clothes in her garage when we moved on to our next place for still ANOTHER move; we have been here seven months, waiting. This was a very generous offer, and much appreciated. The (very small) kitchen and bathroom are half a flight down, but everything is well lit so not a problem at night. Should our house not be ready after our next rental-ye gads, but I hope not!!!-we would jump at the chance to return.

Serene Santa Fe getaway

Loved the place! Located on a quiet country lane, 7 minutes to downtown. Large “great room” living/dining room and bedroom, beautiful sun in the morning. Comfy linens and comfy bed. Bathroom and small kitchen (just what we needed) just a few steps away. We will be back to stay here again. Private entrance, enclosed outdoor patio and covered carport parking too.

The apartment was as advertised and cozy. My husband, dog and myself had a long term stay while house hunting and the location and space was perfect for our hunt. Great apartment, location, and host!

This apartment has a private entrance and is set in a neighborhood that feels rural but is in the heart of Sante Fe. You will be close to old town shops and restaurants as well as Sante Fe hot spots. The host is fantastic. She is a helpful guide and knows the area really well. I would definitely stay here again.

Charming Stay in a Charming City

I had a great stay in Santa Fe at Boo's VinGarage apartment with Miles, my year old Airedale Terrier. On arrival, Boo met us with a beautiful bottle of wine in the fridge. The apartment was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished with great internet. I used the fenced acre (no charge) for Miles to play in which was wonderful so no need to drive around looking for a dog park. The bedroom, living room and courtyard all have a wonderful view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and I enjoyed the dramatic sunrises and sunsets from those areas. The next time I'm in Santa Fe, I'll be booking there again!

Great place to stay in Santa Fe

Boo was a great host to myself, my mutt and cat. We had an extended stay while relocating to Santa Fe and Boo’s place had everything we needed. Comfy bed, nice TV room and even a place to work. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet, and great for dog walks. Your close to downtown and lots of great restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful stay! Lovely and charming apartment, Perfectly set for sunrises and sunsets. It is equipped with everything you need and a fantastic location. Great place to hang for a month with my dog. Boo is awesome, super responsive, super friendly and super easy to rent from. The location was absolute perfection and the set-up was comfy and spacious. If I wasn't moving back to Santa Fe (this was my transitional home), I would definitely rent from Boo again.

NOT SAFE FOR DOGS! Mis-advertised...

Driving cross country with my 2 hounds. Booked 1 week in Santa Fe. Boo said she wanted to meet me at the property for check in. I'm usually one for more privacy, but in this instance I was glad she did. Bc it was a disaster! After an 11 hour drive, my dogs were ready to stretch and do their buisness. Boo showed me where the enclosed 1 acre was, and I went to walk the perimeter to make sure there were no escape routes. Within a matter of 20-30 feet into the enclosure, both dogs were completely debilitated. Would go no further. I looked at my own sneakers that were fully engulfed in Cactus burs. The entire yard was covered. Boo joined in trying to removed enough from paws to get the girls moving back inside. I spent the next 2+ hours removing canctus spines from paws, hind quarters, tails and tummies. Got badly pricked myself. Want to let other dog owners know: Unless you have a toy breed and can potty in a very small courtyard on the edge of stone, this isn't the place for you. We were so glad to find the Fort Marcy Dog park. It saved us! Awesome and well behaved dogs to play with and great owners to chat with. Trust when I say they were all horrified by this story! On other notes - The "locked" courtyard isn't. You can just reach a hand in thru door and unlock it. The courtyard was covered in broken glass from the "prior renters". I Wondered why that hadn't been cleaned up. Boo jumped it to take care of it but we were picking up glass our whole stay. And the BBQ was broken, also, by the last guest, or so we were told. I was unaware that Boo lives at the house full time. It's not a very quiet space. You can hear clearly through the walls and she has 3 dogs of her own. I was looking to fully relax and it just wasn't possible. Apartment is a small European style space. Bottom floor has only a small bathroom that is hard to move around in and a tiny kitchen with no seating area. You must go up the stairs to 2 other rooms. One a bed room, one set up as a living/dining space. Odd set up but workable if you're one person traveling. Lastly, I needed to alert Boo to something and saw her pass by my window that open onto her patio for sunset views so I popped my head out to speak to her, as she did w/ me virtually every day. AND she was fully NUDE. You'd think with spaces being attached, a host would remain clothed. I'm no prude but we left 4 days early. She did pay me $70 for my ruined shoes. INSANELY OVERPRICED for the accommodations.

Live like a local

Boo’s apartment above the garage in the Sol Y Lomas neighborhood in Santa Fe is a nice location and neighborhood about 15 minutes from the center of the Plaza or Railyard district. I recently stayed here for a month with my dog, and found it to be a comfortable, well stocked unit that met my needs for daily living. The kitchen is tiny but adequate for simple meals and has sharp knives, cutting boards, spices and pots and pans. The apartment has a very comfortable bed, a washing machine, good light and all the conveniences of home away from home. Boo herself, is charming and delightful. She loves animals and welcomes animals. She provided yummy special treats for my girl several times during the month. She also gifted me several bottle of wine and always was responsive to my requests or needs. I recommend Vin Garage Wine and Art Atelier to anyone looking to travel with their four legged companions to Santa Fe and to those looking for a comfortable local vibe. Thanks Boo for everything.
