The location and size of this property are fantastic! The house is located just a few minutes walk from the beach. There are two kitchens, both well-stocked with everything you need. We appreciated that there was plenty of space for everyone in our group. The house is a bit dated, and some of the linens were old, but most everything was in working order (exceptions: some of the windows and blinds need updating). We really appreciated that this property is pet-friendly, which is a rarity. It allowed us to include our furry family member.The host was very responsive and communicated everything very clearly. Very steep stairs to living area, all bedrooms, downstairs. Unit is old, dated, no real outdoor yard to enjoy, cleaning was minimal, windows are filthy. I would not rent this unit again.

What a hidden treasure we found in your fantastic vacation rental! Comfortably accommodated our family of all ages. Full of amenities, kitchen necessities and beach gear. Only lacked in toilet paper.We came to SC for a Celebration of Life and it was a perfect way to relax and honor our parents. Definitely planning to make this annual event.Hope those reading this review have as much fun as we did!Thank you for everything!

Great house, great location, perfect for large groups

We had a family of 15 and this place was perfect. Sleeping arrangements were fantastic, just a very short, 500 ft, and easy walk to an incredible beach. Game room was fun and cooking area and kitchen were perfect for a large family

We love this house. It is 1/2 block from the beach with lots of places to walk to. Tide pools are at the end of 16th Ave. We all go our seperate ways during the day, but come together for dinner. Plenty of room for all of us to eat together. However, we noticed the smoke detectors were missimg upstairs. Looking forward to renting again next year.

The location is awesome - about 100 yards from the beach on a quiet, home-lined street. The layout of the house is a little funky; it seems like two homes were combined into one, but it works great for big groups. The bedrooms are all on the first floor, with two kitchens and living/dining rooms on the second floor. The game room is accessible from the back of the house, but we didn't use it at all.

Pleasant stay in luxurious home near beach

We stayed for a short 2 days Sat-Mon stay at the house close to beach in Santa Cruz. This is a large house and accommodated 11 of us comfortably. Thirteen and eleven years olds enjoyed the game room and the 2 stairs and bunk beds immensely and proximity to the beach. The cooks in family loved 2 large well equipped kitchens including keurig coffee machine. Large 12 seat dinng table is nice. Recommended highly...

Large, comfortable beach house with two kitchens!

Roomy beach house just five houses away from Twin Lakes Beach. Upper floor is great for gathering - a kitchen, dining room, and living room on each side. Plenty of place to gather in smaller groups. Many bedrooms and bathrooms. Very easy parking. Just a short walk to a wonderful beach.

Comer family vacation

Wonderful location. Near Boardwalk, Capitola shopping, and steps from a perfect beach. It’s our fourth year at this house and we’re already booking for next year. We love the two kitchens and the two large tables for eating together and for playing family games. Michele, the hostess, is so responsive.

Not happy. The place is very spacious and a nice walk to the beach. The inside was clean. Not the outside. There was dog poop and rat traps on the deck. Almost stepped on a large dead rat in the trap by the game room door. Rat poop at front door entry. Deck furniture was dirty and some didn’t look safe. The host sent someone to clean but with kids and dog we leaned to avoid someone gettin hurt or sick. Game room ping pong table broken, paddles broken toys broken. Looked like mouse poop under couches. It was the first time I have rented and the only spice was salt and a creole mix. Was expected to wash all towels and spot clean furniture. Tried to do towels but machine kept resetting. Only handled 4 towels at a time. 14 people -1 to 2 towels is hours doing laundry. Hand washed dishes. The dishwasher didn’t work well and most dishes you pulled out of the cupboard were dirty. All messages from hosts included capitalized words. It needs TLC. Usually a place has games but everything in pieces. The cancellation policy is more strict than most. The clean up expectations - you pay a cleaning fee so having to do several hours of laundry when on vacation and paying a cleaning fee? Recommendation- clean including the outside if that is one of the perks you highlight or tell the renters they aren’t usable. Update deck furniture, game room to be usable. More than salt and syrup in the cupboard. New dishwasher or clean the dishes in the cupboard before paying guests come.

Spacious and great location

We usually stay in Aptos but found this location so central to everything and so nice to take short walk to beach! Plenty of room for our party of 7 adults and 7 children. There were a few issues - but Michelle responded immediately to the issues. All in all a great experience - everyone commented the beds were comfortable!

Great house right by the beach!

My friends and I had a great time staying at this property. The house is in a great location just a few steps from a beautiful beach. The house is set up to comfortably sleep a group of adults. The two-kitchen set up was interesting but worked. The check-in instructions were a little intimidating about strict parking and noise rules (a security guard comes by at 10 pm every night to observe personally), but we kept things quiet and inside during quiet hours and it all turned out fine. I know SC has some strict rules around short-term rentals, so this was probably just a way to dissuade disrespectful tenants. Overall, I'd recommend this house for people looking for a great place for a larger group to stay and enjoy SC!

Family Reunion

Overall, the house was in very nice shape, lots of room for all to feel very comfortable. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach and other and all amenities. A very nice place to stay.

Excellent location for a family vacation to the beach

House is in a perfect location for days spent at the beach, which is just down the street, no driving required. Neighborhood is quiet and it's peaceful enough to sleep with the windows open to enjoy the sea air. The large dining table was enjoyed for every family meal and the home comfortably slept our three generations. The host, Michelle, was incredibly responsive and generous with the flexible check in and check out times.

Fantastic Way to Visit to Santa Cruze

We brought a rather large clan of 15 family members and two dogs to this lovely house and found it super comfortable, clean and enjoyable. Just steps from the beach with a nice patio for barbaques and a well stocked kitchen allowing us to cook and serve with no problems. Our host was super communicative and helpful. Highly recommended!

Relaxing, Great location

Love the spacing, lots of room to spread out and big enough dining areas to share a nice meal together. Location is so perfect and relaxing, wake up to the sunrise and turn unwind with the sunset. Will definitely stay here again!
