This house is in a great location, just a block from an overlook of the beach, offering some views of the ocean from upstairs rooms. The kitchen has everything, and the large table is perfect for our group of 9. It is challenging to find a house with 5 bedrooms, however, it is essential to note that one of the bedrooms is located off the front porch and locks independently. The windows in this room are nailed shut. We didn't know this, and it made it tricky to figure out how to sleep parents and young children. Also, the room was hot and stuffy. The house was not very clean. I know it's old but the dust wasn't even vacuumed out from under the beds. All in all, I'd say it was OK and we had a reasonably nice time.

We have stayed here before and always have a wonderful time. The location is wonderful with the beach, restaurants and stores nearby. Getting to stay in a vintage home that's fairly well taken care of is a treat. We hope to stay there again!

Great location

The location is great and yard is beautiful. Loved the outside bathroom and shower. Large home for a family vacation. No washer and or dryer on property, carpets and sofas need to be cleaned. Owner and cleaner were great and helpful.

Just right

The location was amazing! One block from the beach and walking distance to the Boardwalk and downtown. The bottom floor bedroom with connecting bathroom were perfect for my elderly mom. Windows could use some screens so guests can get fresh air without bugs.

Great location

Beautiful historic house! Amazing location! Only complaints:*are no laundry. I know it wasn’t listed, I just assumed. *not clean- floors were so dirty! The kids feet and socks were black after a couple hours. Thick dust under couches and on all the knick knacks*oven set for Celsius(had to figure out how to change), coffee maker auto setting doesn’t work, lights over outside sitting area don’t work.*need to label light switches

Very large home with lots of character a block from the beach.

7 family members including a baby were in Santa Cruz for a college graduation. This home offered us plenty of space with alot of charm. Close to the beach and a lovely yard are added amenities!

Couldn’t have asked for anything better

This house was absolutely stunning. Fully stocked with everything you could need and super clean. The proximity to the beach was perfect and great food and coffee shop within walking distance. The owner was lovely when we saw him before he left for the weekend and easy to communicate with before our stay. We loved the option of an outdoor toilet and shower and thought the layout of the house was perfect. Our group has already talked about wanting to come back for a longer stay !

Great Family Retreat

We love the nostalgic charm of this beautifully restored home, lovely yard, and surrounding exploration spots. This home offers indoor and outdoor spaces to come together as a family, but ample space to retreat for a while. Perfect for our daughter, their husbands, and grandchildren!

Craftsman

As described in the listing it is a well maintained older home. The craftsmanship wow beautiful. We had a very nice stay. The location was perfect; close to the beach, restaurants, coffee, etc. The only suggestions I have include; purchasing a new gas barbecue (the one provided is not gas and very rusted) and get new mattress for the adult rooms - so uncomfortable.

Fun Stay in lovely Santa Cruz home

Nice large home with comfortable furniture, large dining room for 10 , kitchen stocked with everything you could need! Outdoor space to sit n relax n kids to play ! There was 10 of us 6 adults and 4 children ages 17,15,8,5 ! We all had a great time ! Walking distance to Seabright beach n Boardwalk! Lots of good eating spots close by too! Would stay again!

Retirement celebration with family

Our adult children and nieces and nephews joined us for 3 nights in this beautiful historic home. The location is perfect, a short walk to Seabright Beach and walking distance to the Boardwalk (via the trestle bridge) and lots of great coffee places and restaurants. We didn't even get in the car until the last day of our stay. Lots of outdoor spaces to talk, read, nap and eat. There are 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower (there's an outdoor shower which is great from coming back from the beach). The owner was very responsive. We loved our stay and thank him for sharing his treasure of a house.

Lovely Craftsman Home

The house is lovely. Every room is beautiful and inviting. It combines antique charm with modern conveniences such as an updated bathroom with shower, plenty of hot water, lots of electrical outlets, good lighting and great climate control. There is a big kitchen and huge dining room table. You can imagine the whole family gathered around for dinner. The outdoor space is likewise inviting and the ocean just a short walk away. The property manager was very responsive. When we had a problem, there was someone here within the hour to fix it. Everyone agreed that it was the perfect place for a family gathering.

Highly recommend

Excellent location. Walking distance to beach, boardwalk, cafes , and lunch spots. Loved the large dining room table and the outdoor seating .Very unique house well pointed and decorated. Perfect fit for grandkids, parents, and grandparents. We would highly recommend.

Family time at the beach.

This is a fun place. Quite large with 5 bedrooms. We were a little confused by the kinds of beds and where they were. We did see several on VRBO had a name on picture, but the rest turned out that you had to figure it out. Thus, we ended up in a trundle on main floor. We’re in our 70’s. We slept in twins but thought it would be a bigger bed. The porch room was cute, but a awkward to walk into the house or go around the house to use outdoor bathroom at night. No one wanted to walk into the downstairs bathroom at night because we were sleeping right there. You had to walk thru our room to use. We did fine, just need to realize this before you come. Loved the location. Very close to Seabright Beach!
