Didn’t go to the national park as planned, but found a nearby hike called “hot springs trail” which I recommend. Love Santa Barbara and our rental. We had a few hiccups but Ally, the host took care of everything immediately. I would recommend this Vrbo, with the caveat that you have to climb two flights of steps. Otherwise, it was just perfect.

The place had ants. The last night the fire alarm went off randomly starting around 1 a.m. so no sleep. The owner only offered a discount on a future stay - as if I would return.

Beautiful Santa Barbara

Overall, nice unit. All that was described was there. One minor complaint is that while the kitchen has all the appliances items u need (coffee pot, pots, pans, etc), the pantry w/regard to oils, spices, basic cooking amenities, were absent. Do check first if u require them. Also, the stairs can be challenging. This unit had 2 stairwells to navigate. This is made vry clear in the description,

Santa Barbara beach house

Adorable little condo, great location, clean and comfortable. Safe location with your own parking space. My only complaint and it isn’t really a complaint is to be prepared to take your own kitchen condiments ie: salt and pepper etc. However small grocery store within walking distance too.

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our 6 day stay I the Penthouse!Very clean, comfortable and extremely good location. Evenings were great with cocktail hour on the the patio lounge chairs enjoying the view as the sun disappeared. Amenities were great including the off street parking. We are looking forward to returning!Thanks!

Great location with room for improvement

Our stay had some great features but also a few drawbacks:Pros:Perfect Location: The property is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the area.Convenient Parking: The parking lot was easily accessible and stress-free.Spacious Fridge: The kitchen features a large refrigerator, which was very convenient.Thoughtful Touch: The complimentary champagne was a lovely surprise and much appreciated.Entertainment Options: The TV had a great selection of channels and streaming services.Cozy for Two: The unit's size was just right for two people, providing ample space without feeling cramped.Cons:Cleanliness Issue: There was visible mold in the shower, which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the space.Kitchen Limitations: The kitchen was not as fully equipped as advertised, which made meal preparation challenging.Misleading Listing: The listing mentioned a bathtub, but there wasn’t one in the unit.Scented Linens: While fresh linens were provided, the use of heavily scented detergent could be reconsidered for guests sensitive to strong fragrances.Storage Needs: More hooks and adult-sized hangers would be helpful, especially for longer stays.Bed Comfort: The bed was not very comfortable.Temperature Control: Regulating the unit’s temperature was challenging. A fan stayed on continuously, and we were unable to turn it off.Overall, the location and thoughtful touches made our stay and we would stay again, but addressing these issues would be nice.

Great location

We loved our stay at The Penthouse. The property is clean, the location is perfect and the view is lovely. The property manager and host are both quick to respond to your needs,. Several units are available at this site, and all of them look inviting and well kept. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Perfect Getaway

Location was perfect for visiting all the best spots in Funk Zone as well as proximity to the beach and water in general. Place is great size for two people. Nespresso machine was a bonus!! Windows allowed great airflow through apartment. Bed is a queen. Complex was quiet. Train only went through a few times while we were there. Outdoor patio was a nice size. Having dedicated parking helped a ton.

Wonderful Stay

This was our second stay in this penthouse. We have also stayed in the penthouse unit across the hall. Both are great. The location can't be beat and having a dedicated off street parking space is a real plus. We enjoyed the private patio too. We plan to return again next year.

Charming, Tasteful and Serene

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay in the Penthouse. Our arrival was later in the evening, so the checkin instructions given, made all very easy. The neighborhood is perfect and close for walking to the beaches, many restaurants, and small grocery store. Everything inside the Penthouse, we found to be extremely clean, the queen bed and linens were very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the complimentary champagne, coffee and breakfast on its cute outdoor patio. I highly recommend this Penthouse it is so unique and comfortable.

Perfect Getaway

Booked this penthouse for my girlfriend’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint! The balcony is the perfect place for coffee, breakfast or just relaxing. Easy walk to the beach and Stearns Wharf. One thing to note is the driveway to the parking is very narrow and the parking area can be tight if every space is being used, so if you are driving a large truck or suv you may have trouble getting in as it felt a bit tight at times in our mid-sized suv. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again!

Go Back Jack and Do it Again.

Great building and unit all around. The location is close to everything; beaches, bay, pier, state street, Funky Town (zone) etc. Only reason for driving is if you wish to see more places than Santa Barbara and its hot spots. Only suprising thing to me, so many vacant store fronts on State Street since my last visit. Will definitely be going back and if this property is available at the time I will book it again. Owner/management very responsive. Thank you.

Cute and Quiet Penthouse

We really enjoyed staying in this quaint and updated Penthouse which was actually very quiet. It was especially nice to leave our car in the parking lot most of our visit since we could walk just about anywhere we wanted to go. There were lots of great restaurants nearby and we enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour bike tour in town our first day there. I would definitely recommend this gem to family and friends!
