Villa Beniamina is in a stunningly beautiful spot! We felt so privileged to stay there. It was quiet and away from the crowds of tourists. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning, step out on the terrace , and see an incomparable view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen and shared festive meals in the dining room. A well-stocked supermarket is a 10 minute walk away. Each evening at sunset we enjoyed cocktail hour on the roof terrace or on the piazza in front. We also enjoyed some of the many restaurants nearby. The location is ideal for day trips to Pompeii, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast. All accessible by public transit. Thanks to our hosts for preserving the marvelous historic 1893 villa and making it available for our enjoyment.

Beauty by the sea

My husband and I , son , daughter , son-in-law, 13 yr old, 9 yr old granddaughters really enjoyed the place. It was a beautiful location. Rooms for everyone . Loved the terraces. Great area to relax with some wine, etc. Great restaurants next to Villa . 30 minute walk to Serrento . No problem getting taxis either. Minor inconveniences: no a/c - we only had 1 night where it was a little uncomfortable, otherwise it was bareable with ceiling fans. There is a washing machine but no dryer, we used the rack dryers while we were there. This is typical of Italy living…so we expected that. And finally, because of the promenade outside the house, it could get a little noisy.

Villa Beniamina It’s a perfect place for family and friends to stay. It is absolutely beautiful, is well-located for trips to Sorrento, Capri, Positano and Pompeii. The property managers were extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend!

Best Villa in Town

Great location with an ocean view from the balconies and rooftop terrace. Very spacious with vintage charm, a lovely garden, and a newly updated kitchen that was a joy to use. It was close to excellent restaurants, public transportation, and grocery stores. The service was superb, including a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel which offered invaluable recommendations and assistance.

Fabulous villa overlooking the water.

This villa has views that are just as good, if not better than the priciest hotels along the coastline of Sorrento. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. We loved the roof top view of the sunset for our cocktail hours overlooking the sparkling blue waters as we gazed at Mount Vesuvius, Pompei and the Isle of Capri. We were a party of 8 (4 couples) and the villa fit our crowd perfectly.

Beautiful old villa in great location. Needs some attention as dated but very authentic Italian

Great place to stay, only 25 mins walk from Sorrento centre. Good local amenities and restaurants. Fantastic terrace to watch the super yachts which anchor off shore! A little noisy in the evening as a perfect view point outside but beautiful old villa full of character

The villa is spacious and the rooms are very generous.

The view from the terrace and balconies are worth the trip. The owner and our host, Robeto, was very kind and friendly (although we did not see him again after we first arrived.) There were 5 women in our group so all but two had a private bedroom with balcony. We found the beds and commendations to be quite acceptable. We shared 3 bathrooms but had to use one of our 3 prong adapters for their hair dryer. The kitchen was our main meeting area for coffee and conversation although we did very little cooking. Too much to do and places to eat. The garden off the kitchen is lovely and well maintained with all sorts of plants including roses and a lemon tree. Running out of hot water for showers seemed to be our main concern. The location is great, we walked to the bus stop in a little over 2 minutes and for 1.5 Euros the bus took us into the city of Sorrento (about a 10 min drive because of traffic). The city square was very touristy with shops and outdoor cafes. Down the side streets are many souvenirs shops including gelato shops which I loved There are a number of places to eat near the villa: a pizza restaurant, another restaurant (where I got the best fillet steak) and a hotel (all within walking distance of 5 minutes or less on the main street just around the corner and up a street.) The Catholic church is also just around the corner. We took side trips to the Amalfi Coast, the Farm and cooking, Wine tasting and Pompeii (using Sorrento Limo because they all require transportation). My favorite was the Farm Experience: olive groves, lemon groves, milk to cheese demonstration, and we made our own pizza to lively Italian music - so much fun !
