We booked this villa as a last-minute thing, having arrived at Mahon to find the apartment we had booked on the harbour was awful. We found it online, booked it, and within minutes were in contact with the agent who could not have been more helpful. He allowed us to move in at mid-day the following day, had us greeted on site and the villa was fabulous.
Although there were only two of us, it easily would have accommodated 6 people. The rooms are all of a good size and airy with high ceilings and large windows. Both the inside and outside space have plenty of room to move and relax.
Unusually, all the cutlery and crockery matched and there was enough for 6 people. Even the cookware was in good condition!
The location is brilliant, too. 5 minutes stroll down the hill to the best family beach on the island, and with a choice of three or four restaurants at Cala Torret to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets. We especially liked Salitre, a slightly more upscale bistro than its neighbours with a small menu, but superbly cooked and well served. There is also a great little bakery at CT, open at 8 am every day for fresh bread, rolls and pastries.
Overall, just what we needed after our initial disappoint. It certainly helped us to have a great holiday in the end.
